1. I suppose Obama could issue an EO which promotes him to Supreme Leader, outlaws the Republican Party and lengthens Executive Office terms to indefinite. Doesn't mean any of it will make it passed the SCOTUS.

They just see the size of the bore and immediately capitulate. Ammo is is getting too expensive to be shootin folks. :)

You may not always be right, but assuming otherwise, you'll generally be wrong.   - OS
Well I defer to your extensive wisdom and life experience.

It's simply ...   - OS
I don't doubt they're a slick bunch, it just seems more reasonable that someone at TBI/DHS saw this and actually felt this guy was a danger and the state could have some liability, as opposed to a politician moving a pawn in the game to shift public perception.

 7. +1 :)
 8.
Nah, they said they pulled it for that. They pulled it to quell more anti-gun bad press from it, as the legislature will have it's own firearms PR battles to weather during all this.   - OS
Didn't expect the conspiracy theory from YOU.
 9.
One must ask the question "Causation or correlation?".    People who take psychiatric drugs are already unstable. Is it the drugs or the fact that they are already unstable that creates such a mental environment to commit such an act?
This is where it's at. Folks always want to demonize inanimate objects for some reason rather than look at the root problem, people. I have a sister who is bi-polar and should be medicated at ALL times. Her manic episodes are frightening to the point she had to be put in a padded room by an LEO for a few days. Even on her meds she can be a lot to handle, but if she were to do something crazy it ain't the meds. These folks that do these shootings may have been medicated at one time or are currently medicated, BUT THERE IS A REASON FOR THAT! They are mentally unstable for whatever reason. Drugs treat symptoms, not the problem. In some cases it is a chemical imbalance which can be treated with drugs, but I can tell you from first hand experience, it doesn't fix the problem 100%.

 13.
You guys need to move to east Tennessee. The local flea market today saw five or six folks carrying pistols open on there side one woman and no one was freaking out. Folks around here are use to seeing guns and 90% of them own a gun. These guys probably should not be doing this but if they are not breaking the law what do you do make another law. It should be legal and people should not be scared because some one has a gun hell every one should carry a gun every day. Then no one would even notice it does not get much attention here. Jason
Open carrying a pistol is much different than carrying a RIFLE, which is what we're talking about here. You're being disingenuous if you are saying there isn't a difference.
 14. I only have one. I intended to pick some up after Thanksgiving, but all the holiday stuff got in the way, then CT happened and everyone was out. Not too worried though, I have so much trading fodder I should be able to stock up even if this drought lasts for a while. I could trade 3 AR mags for one 15-22 and still be well stocked on both.
 15. Yes, I do see the logic there. But it is not as if there isn't a precedent set for suspending or revoking carry permits without criminal charges. Leonard comes to mind. And the process for revoking or suspending a driver's license is much different than a carry permit. Whether we like it or not, they can do what they did with Yanker and Leonard if they feel as if they are a danger to society. Working within those boundaries they did nothing wrong. Although you may think that when someone says "if the administration moves one more inch, I'm gonna start killing people", they are no danger to society, you are a part of a very small fraction of society. Most people would agree that a person who says such things is a danger. So now the court will decide if he is a danger or not. Since he stopped short of committing a crime, his lawyer should make a good case for getting his permit back and chalk the video up to his tough guy act which he markets himself with. Point is, DOS didnt pull his permit because they didn't like what he said. They pulled it because what he said was interpreted to be a threat to society. They were within their left and right limits to do so. If someone on this board would have said "if the administration moves one more inch, I'm gonna start killing people" I'm willing to bet DOS would look into pulling their permit as well. Yanker is not special in this regard.
 16. I had one until I traded for a M&P 15-22. It was a fun plinker. I just remembered that I didn't put the 50 round drum mag in the trade. Guess I need to put that up for some 15-22 mags.

 18.
I don't think its gonna matter how polite we try to be there still going to try to get our firearms.   http://cnsnews.com/blog/charlie-daniels/precedent-teaches-us-left-really-wants-all-our-guns
We are losing the fight in regards to public perception because gun owners like this are playing checkers while the gun grabbers are playing chess. Little stunts like this, and the gun owners that support it, show how short sighted the gun owning community is. This is why we are losing.
 19. CNN has Robin Meade. You can't get more American than that if you made an AR15 shaped apple pie and wrapped it with the Flag.
 20.
I fired an XD9 inside the house once. My ears rang for a few minutes. But I was still able to hear my wife talking even with the ringing. Our cats though well they hid for a long time.
Was it a spider?
 21. All this talk about rights to free speech being violated and whatnot, can someone please point out how any of his rights were violated? None of us, including Yanker, has any right to carry a firearm in the state of Tennessee. Don't like it? Well, me neither, but that is reality, and therefore his right to due process was not violated. He'll probably get his permit back since he was juuuust smart enough to get a lawyer and listen to him (this is after he said "f**k you in a YouTube video at everyone who advised him to retract his earlier statement and shut his mouth; I guess he didn't say the same thing to his lawyer).
 22. I'm pretty sure if I sell 300 TVs in a three year period, I'm breaking laws in regards to having a business license in addition to tax evasion.
 23.
As far as for him being a coward, TMF, your thoughts make a lot of sense about him and I respect the way you put it. I just think there are bigger fish to fry than him.
Yeah, I'm just pissy because this douche has given the antis ammo. He is actually worse than Peirs Morgan in that respect, because he validates all the reasons why libs think we shouldn't be allowed firearms and Yeager has an army of fanboys lining around the block to polish his dome. The comments and his following aren't lost on the libs, so he has done some damage, and that makes me mad because I already thought he was a douche. Now he is a douche that is harming OUR image.

Are you f***ing serious right now?
