  1. Keeping them loaded won't hurt them.  I've had a couple of AK mags loaded for at least a decade now.  I'm certain I could pop them in and shoot them with no issues.
  2. Just curious, what is an "End User Certificate"?
  3.   They notified the public.  I'm not sure why no one seems to acknowledge that.  Should they have gone door to door to everyone in Miami to let them know?  Would that make everyone feel better?   They dynamited a bridge near my house at 11 pm a few years ago.  I heard the explosion as I was lying in bed drifting off to sleep.  I was not aware they were blowing the bridge that night.  Having a background in explosives/demo I could tell that the blast was pretty close, and having no logical reason in my head for why there would be such a large explosion near my residential neighborhood I called the 911 operator to report the explosion.  I was told what the explosion was and that they had put this out in the newspaper multiple times.  At first I was upset because I don't normally read the local paper, and thought that there should have been some other form of notification.  Then I realized that the world doesn't revolve around me and the only negative ramifications from the incident was a few moments of WTF before the question was answered and the "problem" was resolved.  Once again, I don't see the problem here.  Just because a few people were caught off guard means nothing.  Besides, what decision would it drive in a person if they saw helicopters flying tactically over a city?  I don't see any situation where a person would immediately begin engaging that helicopter unless the person was an inbred yocal who had seen Red Dawn one times too many.  Seriously, I have Chinooks, Kiowas and Blackhawk helicopters buzzing around my house all the time.  For some reason it doesn't make me feel as if I am in danger.
  4. Don't they already have golf ball launchers that affix to the front of an AR-15? I suppose a ping pong ball would fit too.
  5. Why is the MSRP so high? I hope this isn't a trend of manufacturers raising their prices. Stripped lowers shouldn't be more than $150, and generally only around $110.
  6. I believe that the lifestyle they lived is what contributed to an early aging process. Cocaine, smokes and booze to excess will do that to ya. I work with plenty of folks that are as old and older than these former rockers and they look much, much younger, or at least they don't look like ten pounds of s**t stuffed into a five pound bag.
  7. I am absolutely flattered.
  8. Well that goes without saying. Folks who design this utopia are enlightened enough to create it, and therefore shouldn't have to adhere to the rules. Look how well it works in China.
  9.   Ha, right on man.  Just wanted to make sure you didn't read it wrong and do something bad.
  10.     This means no, you can't.
  11.   Not sure what you mean by "easy out".  My attempt to illustrate that I'm not speaking with someone who is intelligent on the subject by pointing out a lack of mastery in very basic English skills seemed relevant; after all, half of being smart is knowing what you're dumb at.  I'm not dumb on this subject.  I realize there is no way to get past my observation without being offended, and for that I am sorry.   No, they most likely do not teach the difference between "cents", "since" and "sense" in the 3rd grade.  I'd say it's safe to assume they've already addressed that before then.  I don't think I went to an advanced elementary school, but I already knew that by that age.  I have no reason to doubt your claims of service, but I do have a hard time believing that someone who worked as an intelligence analyst, as you said, would be able to create products for distribution to organizations outside his S2 shop if he can't master elementary level English.  Just another observation, unintended to be insulting, but relevant to the subject I think.  There was nothing wrong with the training that was conducted.  It was not outside the norm of what has gone on for decades.  The only difference is now people have YouTube to put their unfiltered video for the tin foil hats of the world to see and use as evidence that they're not crazy.  The government really is out to get them.
  12. Exactly. .50 cal rifles are really scary looking and there's no reason why civilians need them. Just like there's no reason that folks need 32 oz sodas, cigarettes and obscene amounts of money. Think about how nice the world would be if we could dictate every aspect of a person's life to ensure safety, fairness and equality for all.
  13.   Depends on who you ask.  In my opinion, we should be able to take out any leader of a hostile military/country any time we want.
  14. Oh yeah, and if I was born over a hundred years ago and my wife experienced the same simple complications she did with our first born she most likely would not have survived. Instead I will get to enjoy another 40 years of her company.
  15. I've seen enough Playboys from the 70's and 80's to know I came into being at exactly the right time.
  16. Nice, I'll have to check with USAA since we're about to turn our primary home into a rental property.
  17. Sorry, but that's called life and sometimes life isn't fair. The difference if you have a loved one killed negligently by a millionaire or a dirt poor bum is how much you'll get in a settlement. It sucks, but freedom isn't fair; socialism and communism are. Being mandated to carry liability insurance in order to legally own a firearm is no different than forcing people to buy into the right by paying a third party. All kinds of unconstitutional there. I don't care if the premiums are $1 or $100. The price isn't the point here.
  18. That was the first thing that stood out to me, but then I thought, "Well, not everyone is a tactical shooter just because they wear a badge", and then I saw the magazine in there BACKWARDS and thought, "Somewhere there is a sammich she should be making."
  19.   Pretty much.  Black bears aren't likely to attack, but I guess anything is possible.  When I was a kid we lived on the outskirts of a national forest.  Mom used to scare off the black bears by just leaning out the window and clapping her hands.  They are incredibly skiddish, but I suppose they'll get aggressive if they have kids, but that is any animal.
  20.   I was kinda joking.  An individual taking on the State here is going to lose.  Though I believe most of our gun control laws are unconstitutional and do nothing to prevent crime, we aren't going to change that by becoming criminals and engaging in civil disobedience.  Not unless every single gun owner commits to such a thing, which won't happen because folks like me have a job, wife and children and aren't going to risk the future of any of those by trying to work outside of the system.  Best we can do is write our elected leaders and donate to lobbying groups.  Of course, if someone has the funds to do so, by all means, challenge the system and see if it works out.
  21.   I just got good and liquored after my first one.  I was a little shaky for a few hours afterwards.
  22. Can't wait for the families of the two sub-human animals to come out and talk about what good boys they were and how this 70 year old man overreacted.
  23. Would love to see some new case law on this.
