Haha, let's see how that works out for them.

He makes good arguments indeed, but when it comes to religion he goes out of his way to be condescending and offensive. I don't much like those tactics. Any one religion can look at another and find the other to be silly, but you have to respect another's religious belief enough not to belittle it; unless it'sthe Westboro Baptist Church.

Wash state bill would authorize police "inspection" in your home
TMF replied to GKar's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Right now that pendulum is swinging hard to the left, but when these fascists keep pushing too hard, too fast, it's gonna swing back real hard. -
Nullify Federal Gun Laws in TN - Only 6 Signatures Short
TMF replied to JohnC's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Does this mean we can have machine guns and stocks on our shorty AKs with no federal stamp? No? -
They are pretty awesome. I find that there are few points they make I disagree with. Although, their episode on fitness was not done well or scientifically at all, but maybe they were running out of ideas to debunk. Oh, and their specials on religion are pretty offensive.

I thought that some day, in the far distant future, things like this would be happening. What's been going on this past month with these proposed laws have me looking at things very differently. I no longer believe that liberal Democrats are simply misguided folks with differing ideology; to me they are fascists that will not be satisfied until I bend to their ideology, and they will legislate me out of my rights until I am under their thumb. I hope these states pass these laws in their full, unconstitutional form. I think the backlash would give them a lesson about how many Americans reject their ideology. -
Bushmasters at my Walmart have always been in the high $900's. Walmart is not increasing its prices due to stupid people. You'll only see them raise their prices if the manufacturer does. If they were in the market of price gouging they'd be selling XBOX's and Playstations at three times the price when they first come out. They don't.

Unless there is some kind of Federal legislation, those boys ain't going bankrupt any time soon if they move some place like Texas. They might miss a few months of production, but they will make it back for sure. Hell, I'd buy some more Pmags and I don't even need them. Apparently they are backordered into the millions on mags right now. That is in the 10's of millions in merchandise that is already purchased and hasn't even been manufactured yet. They ain't gonna starve, and a show of solidarity will only add to their customer base. The victims here, as always, will be the hard working employees of that company who will lose their jobs. I think that is a friggin shame. I don't suppose I'd boycott them for staying in Colorado, since they could have stayed there anyway with no one ever caring if they moved or not, but they are the ones that decided to act on principle. If they stay they would be going back on their word, which I would have little respect for, but it won't stop me from purchasing from them. They are trying to do the right thing, and this is one of those situations where what is "right" isn't exactly clear. At any rate, it's not like their doing what CTD is doing... trying to create more panic so they can screw people and gouge prices. Those sons of bitches will be boycotted by me for life.

I feel really bad for the Magpul employees if this legislation passes an Magpul leaves the state. No winners here.... except for the liberal freedom hating Democrats.

Co-worker says it's illegal to have more than 10,000$ on your person?
TMF replied to timcar86's topic in General Chat
Well that is the only reason I can assume LE would justify seizure of cash if there is no evidence other than the money itself. It's one thing if there is hard evidence to back it up, but if the seizure comes without charges that tells me there is no evidence, or at least not sufficient evidence to file charges. The presumption of innocence is supposed to be there until you are proven otherwise in a court of law, but to seize assets without there even being a judge involved is so insane I can't put it into words. And then the process where you then have to PROVE that you obtained that cash through legal means is rediculous. What is to keep police from taking the $100 bucks in my pocket and saying that I need to hire a lawyer to get it back? Their good nature? Sorry, I'll trust most LE, but like with any other profession there are still crappy people in the LE field. Forgive me if I don't blindly trust that not one officer would abuse an unjust law. I'm all about hitting drug traffickers where it hurts, but there have been clear abuses of this law. Officers have been targeting out-of-state vehicles under the pretense of them fitting a certain description based on profiling or intelligence. However, the flip side to this coin is that officers may inadvertently target out-of-state travelers who are not drug traffickers at all. I travel across the country all the time by vehicle, and when I do I usually have at least 1k in cash on my person; usually more. I don't think that is uncommon at all. If my vehicles happens to fit a certain description, such as when I'm driving to Florida in my SUV, which rides low in the back due to luggage weight, weapons and ammunition (as I shoot a whole lot when I'm down there) I am now a target for LEOs. If I am pulled over for a false reason (which one of the stories cited gives a perfect example of an officer lying as to why he pulled a vehicle over) and I am cooperative with the officer, allowing him to satisfy his curiousity since I have nothing to hide as a law abiding citizen I am, I am VERY likely to have the cash he finds on my person or in my luggage confiscated by this officer. Since there are no laws broken, he will be unable to arrest me since there are no charges. Now I have to hire a lawyer to get back that money, probably in a county that is a great distance from my own residence. There is a greater likelihood that I'll say "f**k it, it isn't worth my time" rather than spend more time and money to get back what they took... at the convenience of the court. And what is the acceptable retort from the system? "Well, if he legally obtained it then he should come fight to get it back. Since he didn't, it's ours." Sorry, not good enough. This act is going to get out of hand because the latitude afforded to officers who lack the maturity to exercise their power appropriately. -
Part of me wants to see this pass in its original form, because I think it will be a lesson to the democrats.

I don't believe this at all, it has been proven false plenty of times. Any time police seize money and don't file any charges they are stealing. I saw a news story years ago where a reporter had random bills tested for traces of cocaine. A lot of circulated cash came up positive. If the law is going to seize assets they need to be the ones to prove that the assets are the product of illegal activity. The onus is not on the citizen to prove he has legally obtained that money. -
To think there are people out there that paid $3,000-$5,000 for this rifle only weeks ago. Morons.

This makes me very sad.

These things are still common down in Florida near the old folks communities, the ones who are living on SS and wouldn't have much of a knack for technology even if they could afford a computer and broadband services.

I thought it was law here. Either way, I always pull over. It's normal for folks in Clarksville to do the same, although I've seen a lot of folks blow this off near the Army base, but I suppose that has something to do with all the Yankee transplants and 18 year olds with their head up their butt.

St. Louis homeowner kills 15-year-old burglar, police say
TMF replied to mcurrier's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
If someone is on my property that shouldn't be I'm going to intervene. Police aren't going to stop them from stealing or damaging my property if they don't get there in time. If I catch someone on my property committing a property crime such as theft or vandalism they will get a gun pointed at them and will be ordered to assume the position. At that point they can surrender, run or try to fight me. I'm cool with any of those options, but the option to stand idly by and be a victim is not one I choose. -
You have brought a new light into my life with these YouTube videos. I rarely laugh out loud; this was one of those times.

The part with the bio scanner on the Walther was the line for me. Not because of the bio scanner, but the three LEDs on the rear of the weapon that: A. Violates every principle regarding light discipline, especially for an agent expected to surreptitiously approach bad guys, and B. The fact that having bright ass LEDs on the back of your pistol would blind the crap out of you if you were trying to shoot at someone in low light, not to mention trying to even see your sights. Yeah, that as the line, but there were about a dozen other things in the movie which made me believe they had it right several decades ago... except for Moonraker.... that was a pile of garbage.

I'll commission my own study: According to my study, 9 out of 10 liberals who ran their mouth about stuff they know nothing about were punched in the face for saying stupid things. The obvious solution to the problem is to limit the 1st Amendment rights of people for their own protection and to reduce the number of violent assaults, which have become a health concern.

Not for a youngin'. I'm planning on picking up one of those .22s when my son becomes old enough to shoot, so that he has a shorter, more comfortable stock rather than starting out with a full length. Oh, and the AK looks much better.
