  1. Right, but it illustrates that there is such a precedent in modern times where decisive lethal force would have been used and authorized by the Executive Branch
  2. Dogs also have a limited amount of time they can do detection until they are wore out and no longer effective. When the are conducting detection it is similar to a human hyperventilating.... do that for a few hundred passengers in a half hour and the dog will be smoked and may not be on task any longer. Not to mention, detection dogs require a find every so often or they aren't going to do their job. I've been round and round on this topic with folks who claim to be veteran handlers, but I've seen it several times with dogs who are no longer conducting detection because they just searched 30 houses without finding anything and therefore did not get a reward. Dogs are like hookers when it comes to work; they don't do it for the fun of it, they do it to get paid.
  3. Shot the remainder of my .22 ammo right before Newton. Had no idea that there would be a panic on something like that.
  4. Sorry ETP, but the teacher is the one who brought this stuff in for the kids to wear. No matter how you slice it, the wearing of a burqa is a cultural standard that forces the objectification of women and defines them as a second class. Even in the Islamic faith there is NO requirement to wear a burqa. This is done as a control measure by oppressive governments and cultures. Considering the teacher not only has these garments on hand, but brought them into class for the students to wear tells me this was not a voluntary exercise for the student. I'll be damned if someone is going to dress my daughter in an outfit that is designed to oppress and objectify a female as a requirement for "learning". Why not make all the girls dress up like Slave Leia? Might as well, it supports the same message. I'm a pretty open minded guy, but there is absolutely no context where this is okay.
  5. Didn't Bush authorize fighter aircraft to shoot down passenger planes on 9/11?
  6. I had no idea what this "call me maybe" crap was even about until a month ago. I see all this garbage on FB about it, then I hear it on the radio once. It's crap, like all crap pop music. How come every crap pop song that comes out now everybody loses their mind like it's the best thing ever... (suddenly has flashbacks to Achy Breaky Heart)
  7. Yes, but you would go broke shooting it.
  8. So that boner I work up every time before going into the body scanner has just been a waste of time?
  9. Saying "SRT team" is redundant and is nails on a chalkboard to me, like folks saying "RON over night" or " RTB back to base".
  10. "... blood in the aisles!"
  11. Well I think I'm getting an M92 then.
  12. Well this was what was keeping me hemming and hawing about the Arsenal... seemed like a lot of work for a gun without punch. I just assumed the same principle applied to short AKs. Looks like I'm going to be parting with some gear and ammo to fund an M92. CAI has a bad rep, but I fired a buddy's M92 a few months back and it was solid; much nicer than my CAI 74.
  13. Well I didn't know that. I guess I'll have to pick up one of those CAI shorties then and SBR it. I was looking into SBRing one of those Arsenal Krinks in 5.56, but this sounds way better.
  14. There are a couple of good vids on YouTube of Syrian rebels destroying T72 tanks with simple Molotov cocktails. MRAPs are rolling fire hazards with those tires. The fire suppression system they have is designed to save human life, not the vehicle. When those tires catch fire the vehicle is a total loss. Of course, DHS doesn't have 2,700 of these so worrying about how we would fight them is kinda moot.
  15. I'd say that riot training is standard for every national guard unit after the LA riots. We were doing some sort of riot control training at least twice yearly in the late 90s along with check point operations for natural disasters. I assume that has always been common place. I guess it would make sense to train on the things you're routinely deployed to do, but when I wear my tin foil hat and listen to Alex Jones these mundane things scare me.
  16. No assault ramp for second story breaches... weak.
  17. Are these people aware of what happened at Ruby Ridge?    These people are poking a caged pitbull just so they can say "see, look how aggressive it is."
  18. On another note, Madam Chair has nothing to worry about since nobody has any intention of raping her or doing anything otherwise sexual with her whether voluntary or involuntary.  I guess when you're a disgusting overweight manbeast of a woman, things like protecting yourself from rape isn't a concern.    I'll have to remember to tell my wife and daughter to render themselves unattractive, grotesque female forms to prevent attack.  That is morally superior than putting a bullet into a rapist, right?
  19. 100% percent of women who used a firearm to stop an attack were glad they had a firearm.  100% of women who weren't able or chose not to fight back are victims.  Why don't we acknowledge those statistics?
  20. I go there all the time and carry; never had a problem.  I have several Florida LEOs in the family and they could care less about someone legally carrying a firearm whether it's showing or not.  Of course, all it takes is one a-hole cop with an attitude to ruin your day, but that's anywhere.  One of my family members is a beat cop right there in St. Pete.  From what I understand they have bigger fish to fry in that area than a legally armed citizen who had a wardrobe malfunction.  So long as you're not doing anything silly or trying to carry a mare's leg into a Chuck E Cheese I'm sure you'll be fine.
  21. Eh, we have our own socialist leader to worry about.  I don't think Chavez's death signifies anything one way or the other.  On another note, still waiting on Sean Penn to get some good bone cancer.
  22. This is the same TSA that was confiscating fingernail clippers just a few years ago. No thanks, I'll check my folder I carry no matter what length they allow because I'm not going to put myself in the potential situation of choking a TSA dimwit to death when he tries to keep my personal knife for himself.
  23. How is it possible for the muzzle velocity on a 10 inch AK to be as much as one with a 16 inch barrel?
  24. She'd a been a hottie if she dropped a few pounds. Perhaps if she just stuck to that all protein diet....
  25. I don't know why this is so awesome, it just is.
