  1. Possible' but they could then just start a new group. I doubt that there are that many people dedicated to put in the time just to screw with folks for practicing a religion. If there are I would assume the university would take appropriate action to address issues such as that.
  2. Okay... noooow I see what you're getting at in regard to spoofing and jamming simultaneously to prevent it from returning-to-home and spoofing a GPS signal which causes it to fly in a circle. Of course, I am not familiar with the frequency used for comms with the a/c, but I figure the frequency range you're jamming would have to be pretty specific as to not jam the GPS signal, as my experience with jammers has been that I was not able to get a GPS signal... that was with a Garmin. The jammers didn't block the GPS antenna used on our super expensive self tracking equipment, so I'm not certain how that worked, especially since we're pulling data from the same satellites, in theory.
  3. Eh, there's no law saying I can't take back what was taken from me, so I have no intention of hiding if someone comes to take my stuff. We have, as a society, demonized folks choose to protect their property and label them as "Rambos" and idiots. Well folks, ever think that the reason criminals are successful in their line of work is because we tolerate it? And I hear the argument that "things" aren't worth dying for, and folks that say that miss the point completely. "Things" aren't worth a person's life, but the RIGHT to have "things" is. If you stand idly by while a person takes your "things" you have surrendered you rights at that point. If fighting for my right to property leads to legal issues I'm cool with that too. Perhaps some folks believe that is foolish, but I think it is equally foolish to pretend you have a right to property

    Finding ammo

    Nice.
  5. Ha, might as well been. We just called him "hogger".
  6. His wife was shot with an AR 15? I wonder if he realizes that a person could have assassinated her with muzzle loading percussion pistol from the 18th century if they wanted. These people are stupid. It's a piece of metal and plastic; it has no soul, just like most liberals.
  7. Okay, I see what you're saying. Not sure how feasible that is for an aircraft at such a high altitude, but lets say worse case scenario the a/c has its reporting grid altered, it still is being piloted by some smart folks that are no stranger to navigating by terrain. I've seen it done first hand in Afghanistan.... no GPS, just going off road ways and terrain features. If such a capability exists you can guarantee there is an SOP to counter it.
  8. Last time I was at MCSC it seemed the majority of rifles there were ARs. It's amazing how much AR ownership has gone up in the last decade. Makes me all fuzzy to know that there are so many households with muskets; I really hope it stays that way.
  9. That too. Anyone interested in how oppression under some of those cultures is exported, google FGM numbers in Great Britain. F'ing savages.
  10. What does that have to do with taking control of it though? Even if it isn't broadcasting valid coordinates the pilot would still be in control unless the signal was jammed.
  11. You're not accounting for encryption of the feed and controls.
  12. To be honest I haven't really paid attention to the Iranian claims of taking control of one of our UAVs since just about everything they say is BS. Not saying it isn't possible, but it's hard to weed through the BS to figure out what's going on there.
  13. He was making a Uncle Joe dig.
  14. Same could be said about a B-1 bomber. The only difference is the administration doesn't have to risk personnel, and the UAVs carry a much, much smaller payload.
  15. I had an awesome time in that area last year in Brown county. Check out Nashville, IN. It's just to the east of Bloomington... folks call it the "crinkled" county, on account of being one of the few areas of Indiana with terrain, and locals refer to Nashville as "Little Gatlinburg". We stayed at a cabin in that area and enjoyed the Brown County forest. Lotta hiking trails and bike trails, along with an incredible welcome center/hotel in the middle of the park which houses an indoor water park-ish attraction (if you have kids). We're going up there again this summer for a combo business/pleasure vacation. Take your pick of any of the local restaurants in downtown Nashville. Some very good dining there with many of the structures being historical in nature. Very good people and overall a gun friendly environment.
  16. What I figured. I bought two to be on the safe side. It'll give me an excuse to build something else later as well.
  17. Just searched for info on this company and saw this thread. I'm about to pull the trigger on a stripped upper from these guys. I was trying to get a spikes upper, but haven't been able to find them anywhere and I'm getting a little impatient. RGuns is showing uppers as in stock, and there is nothing on their home page indicating a shortage of anything other than lowers, so I'm gonna give this one a shot and pray it arrives inside of 8 weeks. Their page does indicate that they are behind on getting items shipped, which is understandable, but I'm a little worried about ordering something then finding out later it'll take 6 months to get here.
  18. And to think as a kid I'd run through 500 rds of .22 on an average Sunday.... now, 500 rds would be like hitting the lotto. I'm on a notification list for half a dozen websites to get .22 LR; what is going on with that? I don't get why panickers and hoarders went nuts on .22. Some of just want to go to the range and shoot.
  19. Been in the situation before where I'm looking for a buddy's house out in the country and operating on less than stellar directions. Always worried about some backwoods yahoo coming after me for trespassing on his dirt farm. Maybe the guy was just lost.
  20. Sure, friends listen to Endless Love in the dark.
  21. Haha, that's so we don't mistake the guys running illegal checkpoints who are dressed and armed exactly the same..... with the exception of a glow belt and a reflective vest thrown over a jersey barrier. The only way I was able to tell good from bad was whether or not I was being shot at. I think they issued them glow belts so the SGM's of the military could prove that glow belts do in fact save lives.
  22. Never said there wasn't.
  23. TMF

    Bulk AR lowers?

I sure hope so, all I need is a simple stripped upper and can't even find that.
  24. He said he had a reflective vest on.... that means he's a good guy.
