Well I'll buy all the birdshot then if you're healed enough for clays.

They do. I doubt that there are many Walmart employees engaging in this practice. Considering there are folks lined up in the morning to purchase cases that are posted for sale on Armslist the same day, it is clear to me what is going on. If folks would just not pay those price the price would go down. Unfortunately there are the fear buyers who are causing this whole mess as if ammo is going to be banned tomorrow. I would like some .22 so I can shoot this spring, and I can afford to pay stupid prices for it, but I'd rather stay home and not shoot than contribute to the system of rampant stupidity and greed.

I bet if I bought up all the iPhones in TN then turned around to sell them at twice the price there would be some upset folks out there.

I took the charging handle. Will have something AR-ish posted on 1 April.

Whenever possible make BG's clean up their own blood

That was from one punch too. In my experience, Arabs don't take a punch well. They grow up slapping each other like girls when they get in fights. -
I agree with this. I don't own one, but I was very surprised/impressed when I shot a buddy's.

I think this douchebaggery could be perpetual. Every time someone buys from these aholes it funds their next trip to clean out Wally World or to make a bulk order online. Demand will stay high and these guys will limit the supply by snapping it up at source.
-
Is that as a result of the manufacturer raising prices?
-
Have you done this yourself yet?

I would be surprised if any reliable facts could be compiled to create statistics. I think any "studies" one way or the other would be immediately suspect since there just aren't that many instances out there of shootings where the manner in which a person was carrying was entered into a police report, let alone into some kind of database where this info could be tracked. Someone could easily just cherry pick incidents to prove their argument one way or the other. Best to just apply common sense and rational thought when considering carry options. Some folks think that it's crazy to walk into your local convenience store with a weapon exposed as if the world will end and any potential robber will just take your gun and shoot you with it; some folks think you should be able to walk into a Chuck E Cheese with an AK pistol strapped to your leg and no one should be alarmed and anyone who is is a hoplophobe.

Haha, that guy deserves a case of beer! -
Yep, this ammo thing isn't all because people are making sure to be stocked, it is partly because people wake up in the morning and plan to screw other gun owners.

And even then Rick's accent is horrible. Sounds nothing like anyone I've ever met from Georgia.

Wine Sold In Grocery Stores.....And Maybe High Gravity Beer?
TMF replied to waynesan's topic in General Chat
Stuff like this in TN piss me off. Another law where the government is dictating something they shouldn't be. -
Huh, never looked at it like that. I just kinda liked knowing who the bad guys were. I realize, as it relates to the subject of gun owners, we will soon be the "bad guys".

I think this is it right here. I'll be damned if I'm going to sell a firearm for twice what it's worth. We all know that things will get back to normal soon, and I can't look myself in the mirror gouging a guy. With that said, it puts folks like me in a hard spot if they're selling something in order to buy something else. Trading allows for a fair deal all around without having to feel guilty about selling at an inflated price.

Not when you consider the history behind the wearing of it in order to identify the second class citizens. Now, onto the "dress" code. I'm am not a scholar of all things Muslim, but I have a decent understanding of the Quran, hadiths and Muslim culture. You are correct regarding certain dress being a symbol of piety, but there is nothing in the Quran regarding chadors, burqas or similar clothing. A burqa goes far beyond covering the hair.... Way beyond it. It is a complete head to toe garment. The punishment for exposure is severe in certain parts. It was designed as a tool of objectification and enslavement by folks who felt threatened by women's liberation movements around the world. It represents ABSOLUTELY NOTHING historically religious any more than saying it is a mandate in Christianity to wear a burqa. The problem is folks mistake these things as religious and cultural when these practices only came about in recent history and were put in to place by a very small faction of zealots who happened to take control in a power vacuum. Only when people see video of a woman being executed for alleged infidelity to a cheering crowd of men does the western world recoil in disgust, but no one stops to consider that these are not isolated incidents. They are happening every day; there just aren't video cameras everywhere to capture it. I'll be damned if someone is going to have my children imitate such a savage culture which is a cancer of oppression under the guise of tolerance and understanding. The only thing they should be teaching our kids about these people is they are evil right down to their soulless core.

Apparently there are some folks here that stayed awake in their Physics class.... I am not one of them. -

Ticked off? That's crazy talk. Don't take what Dolo said too literally... it isn't an exact science due to all the things you mentioned such as the weapon's buffering system, weight of the firearm and so forth. But, if what you described could be recreated I don't see it being much different than felt recoil. Once the bullet terminates in the chamber of the receiving weapon, all that energy is going to be transferred to that weapon before it is transferred to the shoulder of the firer, same as the firearm that it left. -
Wine Sold In Grocery Stores.....And Maybe High Gravity Beer?
TMF replied to waynesan's topic in General Chat
You can walk into a grocery store in Michigan and buy wine/beer/liquor just fine. They still have liquor/wine/specialty beer stores that function just fine.... of course none seem to carry Sam Adams Imperial series beer. The liquor laws regarding sale in TN are silly. I'm tired of hearing liquor stores whine about how this will kill their business. It shouldn't be up to a few businesses protected by the gov to decide the market. That isn't supposed to be how it works here. Liquor stores will feel the pinch, but will remain in business just fine so long as they adapt. I still intend on buying my wine and fine beer at Mulligan's in Clarksville, because they have always been awesome folks, but I don't like that choice being made for me by some stupid law.
