  1. Gotcha.
  2. I don't doubt they are in stock, I just think they are backed up getting items shipped. I ordered two lowers on the 12th that were listed in stock and they just shipped yesterday.
  3. Wile E. Coyote is foiled again!
  4. Really? Just to sell formed pieces of lead?
  5. I thought it was Dee-Land, not DeLand.... at least that's the way I hear it pronounced by folks from there. Used to know a good southern trailer girl from there.
  6. I suppose you could just junk it or round off the back of it. Besides, doesn't it have to be a certain number of parts in order for that to matter?
  7. After you make it through the first 3 months you will slowly start to regain your sanity. Those were the hardest for both my kids due to lack of sleep, but once they stay asleep a little longer and pay you back with smiles and laughter it gets super easy.
  8. For the medics. Great for sharps disposal.
  9. Haha, trust me, any halfway decent bomb dog will pick up on that.
  10. That's why you line you walls with tin foil... it's not just for hats! Hey, that should be Reynolds new slogan.
  11. Crap, how the hell are folks supposed to make their connecting flights?
  12. I was thinking the same thing when I saw it, but I guess if you plan on carrying it hammer down it really isn't an issue.
  13. If you go to Astan you can buy the parts to make your Glock FA for $70 at the PX. Not more than a range toy though.
  14. You have to understand, I base my assessment on experience. We had a massive chunk of our military in Iraq and weren't able to lock it down or search every house, let alone keep a handle on heavy weaponry and explosives pouring over the border. Considering that there over twice as many gun owners in the US than the entire population of Iraq, I'd say our government would be SOL if they tried going door to door in the US. Even if .0001% of gun owners decided to violently oppose an unconstitutional intrusion into their homes it would be a larger problem than our gov could handle, so I'm not too concerned about it just yet. I can promise that if it ever does happen it won't last long.
  15. For example, when I was MOS'd 11H we had combat pistol as part of the POI. You aren't going to find that on a transcript and I don't expect some civilian at DOS to be able to interpret how Anti-armor infantryman school translates to handgun training, especially since that MOS no longer exists. They will, however, be able to decipher a scorecard, especially since that is one of the acceptable forms of training.
  16. I would say hold off on shooting until the craziness ends. The reason ammo is being sold at 300% markup on Armslist is because people are paying it, and that is the same reason ammo will remain out of stock. So long as people are willing to pay stupid prices, bubba will wait in line at Walmart so he can turn around and sell it to you. If people chilled the hell out for a second and just stopped paying stupid prices it would all go back to normal. Bubba would have to sell the ammo back at relatively normal prices because he can't have hundreds of dollars tied up in ammo.... smokes and Natty Lite ain't gonna buy themselves ya know.
  17. I could have done that study. All the chicks I've seen make out during parties were crazy drunk. I don't think many of them had a strong male role model in their life either.... thank you absent fathers. There, I'm on my way to being a millionaire.
  18. There is a sign advertising tax services in that little row of shops. I found this funny, ironic and sad all at the same time.
  19. No, you straight up said "negative" on an acceptable document to turn in for processing; that is incorrect information. The DMV only sends that paperwork higher. They don't process it. If they are effed up then pull up the DOS page on your smartphone and make them feel stupid. It's right there on their page, so I don't see what the argument is. I never had a problem with my HCP and there is nothing on VMETS indicating the hundreds of hours of formal pistol training I received while I was in.
  20. You said he had a bunch of ammo. Doesn't matter how high he stores it. The dog will indicate that it's there, and if it is the good kind of dog that indicates source, they won't need to search around; they will know where it is. All moot anyway, since all the paranoid looneys out there don't seem to recognize the logistical impossibility of searching everyone's home in the US suspected of having firearms at one time or another.
  21. Yeah, I had a couple of Ruger mags and then three of another brand (can't remember the name) and they all worked flawless. I went and bought a half dozen from Shotgun News or CTD back in '99 and they were all junk.
  22. AR is a much better tactical rifle, but that only matters if you plan on being tactical with it. I loved my mini, but didn't trust it past 100m. Apparently the newer ones are more accurate; mine was much older. Also, mini-14 mags are expensive to find the good ones. It works just fine with the right mags. With the wrong mags it is a jam-o-matic. The right mags tend to cost waaaaay more than just a standard AR mag.
  23. Assault rifle? It was a friggin .22 caliber rifle with a 25 rd mag..... which tends to jam. On another note, he seemed to be one of the few people able to buy up .22 ammo lately.
  24. Bingo.
  25. That's what I'm thinkin. Someday they're gonna piss off the wrong person.
