Not a whole lotta forward progress in the past few years, but I suppose everyone is in the same boat in that regard. As far as customer service goes they have been top notch.

Both my wife and I have Roth IRAs managed by Edward Jones. What's nice about them is they are national, so I will still have a local office even if I move. I used to have an account and car loan through SunTrust when I was in FL, and it was a little bit of a pain when I moved to TN; I imagine it would be even more of a pain had I had an IRA through them.

Seat belts are lifesavers. No reason folks shouldn't wear them. Anyone who has seen enough wrecks with folks that weren't and folks that were know the truth. I never understood why folks go out of their way not to wear them; such a simple thing that could be the decider between life and death.

I suppose the Internet warriors of the past decade would realize how full of sh** they are, quick. -

They were being backed by the Chinese, had morale and food. They have none of that now. Armies perform on morale and chow. Just ask Saddam's elite Army and Republican Guard..... "5th largest army in the world blah blah blah...." -
You forgot referring to naysayers as sheep.

North Korea Propaganda with antique tanks

They still need oxygen though. -
If Alex Jones was to report that the sky was blue, I would feel obligated to go outside and verify for myself before accepting it as truth.

I saw it but did this when tapatalk first got turned back on. Everything good up until a recent post.

North Korea Propaganda with antique tanks
TMF replied to DaveS's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
<br />One of the great things about having freedom of the press and the ability to say whatever you want is that the gov can't keep secrets very well. If we could go more than a week without a major leak that gives someone in Washington a black eye or compromises a CIA asset or source I'll start believing our government is capable of such a vast conspiracy as to generate false propaganda without a single actor, director, producer, A/V nerd or linguist to come forward and spill the beans in a book or tell-all interview which they are sure to receive tons of cash. Then again I know folks who think the moon landing was a fake and George Bush is a reptilian alien. Whatever make ya edgy I guess. -

Yeah... man are they gonna be disappointed the first time they find themselves looking at an M1 Abrams. -
Is this thread supposed to be satire or are we being serious right now? My God. I'm pretty sure if we had a video of US soldiers taking a dump and played it to menacing theme music some tin foil hatters would think is was a damn conspiracy rather than consider the possibility that soldiers have to take dumps too.

I'm not sure what I think of this. Reminds me of "Buddy Jesus" in the movie Dogma.

I miss those late night shake weight infomercials with the Pilates chicks... not sure if the commercials were supposed to be hilarious or erotic, but either way they were fun to watch.

"We're ready to remove the USA from earth forever!"

Only for Glorious Leader and his legion of hackers/cyber terrorists, which you can bet they are closely monitored. There is a good chance that the average North Korean has no comprehension of the Internet. -
Well, I guess the difference is that the price of the stock item has not increased, as opposed to the cost of the product that BP is selling you at the gas station. The difference here is the availability. A Colt AR comes to the distributor at the same price as always. From there it is purchased by bubba and immediately put up for sale, which increases the shortage and drives up the price. So, I guess what I'm saying is that it's artificial. Seems to really be pissing off all those "free market" folks I've been contacting on Armslist. For some reason they are getting irate at the offers I've given them for their rifles, even though the MSRP of a new one is still close enough to what I offer for their used one. Can't understand where that hostility is coming from, unless they are just upset because they aren't going to get to screw folks who just wanted to pick up a rifle from Walmart.

I agree. I think the long term back lash is what will keep them at bay. The sabre rattling going on lately is just their way of strongarming the world for more bags grain. Maybe if we appease the Dear Leader he will see the light and abandon his nuclear ambition. -

I remember folks saying the same thing about the Republican Guard. I'd be more concerned about taking on N. Korean ground troops if they were actually well fed and had real morale instead of a manufactured one. I would compare these folks to the Jap forces who were cut off from supplies in WWII and crushed by the Navy and Marines. Yeah, they fought to the last man, but they sustained astronomical casualties and THEY were the defenders. Usually it is the other way around. If NK decides to be the aggressor in this equation they would be crushed in a very embarassing way. It isn't 1950 any more. They don't have the anti-air capabilities to protect their supply lines from guided munitions, let alone protect their AA batteries from said munitions. They can't support such a large force without food, water and fuel. Whatever gains they would make in the outset would be undone in short order. -
You opposed to the 40? I shot one of those compact .40s and it was real comfortable to shoot.
-
Well I'll admit there was a bit of negligence involved in the story, but it ultimately ended with the individual shooting himself whilst carrying a 1911 in a holster that did not provide a guard for the trigger. The negligence part was a brain fart from a person who hadn't been carrying 1911's for very long, but nonetheless, we all make mistakes which is why we incorporate fail safes into things that we do. Sorta like the reason why you don't point a weapon at someone or yourself even if you have checked, double checked an rechecked to ensure the chamber is empty. You do those things because you recognize that human error exists. I've been handling firearms for a very long time and still don't trust myself enough to believe I can't make mistakes. My recommendation to the OP was based on knowledge and experience and was intended to pass that knowledge and experience on. I don't understand attempting to derail that advice with a dismissive attitude. I wouldn't have dispensed it unless I had a valid reason to do so.

That makes me want to take it to the range. Been neglecting her for a few years.

M44 for me; ya know, because it doubles as a flashlight.

And I have heard this one: "Sh** in, sh** out."

I didn't know that temporary insanity wasn't a defense in Texas. Like I said, I'm not a lawyer.
-
I ain't a lawyer, but I suppose you're right. I ain't a doctor either, but I would suppose seeing your kids killed may cause a temporary break with reality. I don't know, never happened to me, but if I was sitting on a jury it wouldn't take much to convince me of that.
