  1. I'm with you. I know some folks in Florida that have similar collections who just don't post them on Instagram every day. Kudos to this guy in regard to trying normalizing something that is already normal amongst non-bedwetters. Some of the quotes in the article are typical, especially the one about Americans not "needing" weapons such as this. They just don't get it and never will. Nobody "needs" a swimming pool either, and they kill more kids in a year than assault weapons do in a decade.

Would be less aggressive and make the point better to just do an event like this with no weapons, yet carry something openly that is innocuous and harmless, yet highly illegal, like a high capacity magazine. Obviously they can't arrest thousands of people for brandishing a 30 rd mag, and it would make the point that arresting people for possessing a harmless piece of metal and plastic is silly. I think something like that would make the point better rather than having an armed march on DC. Plus the organizer is of questionable background.

This is not directed toward anyone in specific, just don't want to post twice, so...... . . . ___________________________________________________________________________________ Where are folks strategies? Thinking beyond the first step? No alternative methods before the last resort? If the left-wing socialists and communists were this "all or nothing", they'd marched against our government and all been killed a long time ago. It would have definitely made our life easier, right? We wouldn't even be battling them in our education, media and political systems today. But the reason they're winning today is because they chose the right way to fight for what they wanted; the long hard road of changing the education system, media, and taking over the political parties, etc. Why can't anyone here come together and put in the hard work like they have to change it back? Do you want to make the fight easier for them to win? A preemptive attack with lack of support from your fellow citizens will only backfire on you. It will also help make the case for the left-wing to revoke our second amendment as well. Just look how close we came with the last mentally ill nuts that shot up a few folks. Can you imagine the backlash from an armed rebellion of right-wingers trying to overthrow our current administration? What a freaking fiasco that would be! I stand where I've stated. We're not there yet. The education system is where you will find your win. You can't change the old minds that are made up, but you can plant the seeds in the new minds growing up. We can also infiltrate one or both political parties like the left-wing has done. Now that would be a fun battle to fight! Or you can grab your little rifles with a couple thousand rounds, dig in, be labeled a terrorist and get killed in a very short time, which will result in absolutely no positive political change. As already mentioned, it would probably be the reverse, negative change, as it would be used as propaganda to revoke the second amendment and label us all terrorists and crazies. Choose your life or death. And I'm doing my part by bringing my kids up to value liberty, discussing the issues with friends, family and acquaintances. I figure that will have a much more positive impact on our cause than shooting an elected liberal who will become a worshipped martyr and replaced by someone worse. It's a technique.

  5. Speaking of wicked witches, did anyone go to see "Wicked" last time it was in town? My wife wants to see it next time it comes around, but I just wanted to get an idea of how painful it is to sit through.
  6. Of course there is. Hypothetically Obama could declare himself supreme leader tomorrow, have the SCOTUS tossed in Gitmo, shut down Congress and declare martial law. If that happens I'll be snapping necks and cashing checks. In the meantime, so much of the rhetoric I've seen in regard to armed revolt refers to recent unconstitutional acts or supposed acts by this administration. My comments regarding folks taking on the government now are for those people. I find it ironic having someone preach from behind a keyboard as to how we are sackless sheeple for not taking up arms as the very accuser reaches his portly fingers over for another funyun. I don't buy it. Right now this administration has done nothing worse than many before it. Does that make it okay? No. Does that mean we revolt? No.
  7. I realize the difference and understand that our elected leaders have a greater duty to uphold the Constitution rather than placate the people. The problem is that politicians are, and always will be, corrupt. Now that folks are voting themselves into prosperity more than ever before we are in quite a pickle. I really don't know the best way to reconcile that, but taking up arms will not improve the situation one bit. I also will never recognize a government that took its seat of power by force rather than the voice of the people. The problem lies with socialist idealism that has permeated our culture. We can't defeat that with bullets. In fact, armed revolt will likely have the exact opposite effect. We must educate the next generation on the principles of liberty and why they are so important. We should challenge unconstitutional leadership at the polls and in the courtroom. We should challenge unconstitutional laws with civil disobedience. Violence will not solve this problem, I can promise you that.
  8. Happy? That is a pretty strong word. I doubt you'd find many people outside DC who would use the term "happy" to describe their feelings toward our government, but I'm certain that has been a common trend with our country and every other country throughout the history of mankind. Perhaps you meant something more subdued like "content" or "satisfied". I am neither. But that is true for every election in our history. There is always going to be a significant percentage of Americans who are unhappy with who won an election. Does that give them cause to take up arms and fight the government. You think liberals were happy when Reagan won? Would they have been justified in armed revolt? Keep in mind the unconstitutional legislation that passed when he was in office. Still, no one has explained why this president is any different than the rest in regard to overstepping the Constitution. William Henry Harrison is probably the only president that didn't and that's only because he didnt get a chance. Suddenly we should take up arms because we just don't like this one the most? Well perhaps we should look back in disgust at every generation before ours that didn't decide to overthrow their elected leadership, huh? I'm sure America would be a fine place now I'd they did. For so many who are quick to berate me as a complicit comrade, I ask why you are on this site rather than out digging fighting positions on the national mall?
  9. Sorry, anyone who attempts to overthrow a freely elected government is an enemy to the Constitution and their fellow Americans. No different than any other enemy we have faced. If the time came I would fell compelled to put a uniform back on and fight such an enemy. Then again, I've put my money where my mouth is in the past. Can't say the same for all the folks who think they're gonna be ambushing federal law enforcement ala Wolverines. If we want to get into what is unconstitutional and what warrants an armed response from the citizenry how about some folks here take a look back through history and study up on all the unconstitutional laws passed which did not result in revolution. Off the top of my head I figure one of the first was the Alien and Sedition Acts, which were signed into law by one of the framers of the Constitution. Since then there has been so much unconstitutional legislation we would be here all day listing it. But now that Obama is in office doing the same thing we should suddenly abandon the electoral process and take up arms? That is the most ludicrous things I've heard. What makes him any different than so many that came before him? We have a SCOTUS. We have Congress. We have our fellow Americans who elected their President and representatives. When that changes I'll be burning tanks before anyone here on this site beating their chests are. Until then anyone taking up arms in an offensive manner against the government is a terrorist.

You're gonna have a hard time convincing any reasonable person that the oath they took implies they should violently overthrow the government as soon as the oath taker interprets something to be unconstitutional. If that were the case there would be a lot of dead oath takers out there, and I can't help but acknowledge the irony of being accused of not upholding my oath as the sabre rattlers live and breathe. Go be a martyr if you think it is the right thing to do. I will continue to use the polls to make my voice heard.
  12. Well, kinda moot since I won't be putting on a uniform ever again unless something drastic happens. I can confidently say that I have never followed nor been issued an unlawful order during my military career. Had I found myself in such a scenario I wouldn't have followed it, nor would any of my peers or immediate officers. I can also say with great certainty that if Obama declares himself supreme ruler tomorrow and suspends the electoral process I'll be taking up arms long before any of the keyboard rangers rattling their sabres about rebellion. I don't see that happening, but you never know I guess. So long as the American people have elected our overbearing government I will not use violence to change it. Once again, if you have a problem with the government you should be blaming your fellow Americans, not the government.

  14. I'm glad you are so solid in your convictions; I guess we should expect you to fire the first shots any day now. I'm solid in mine. I will continue to fight an overbearing gov't the way our fore fathers designed; at the polls. If our government decides to suspend elections and pass laws without representation then I'll most certainly fight. Until then the problem is your fellow Americans who are voting for socialist encroachment. We must fight that ideology by education our friends, family and children. I fought for my country. I am a veteran. I have risked my life and taken the lives of those who fought against us. I am not afraid to fight again, but it will be for the right reasons. We have a system in place to remove our government that doesn't involve seeing our sons and fathers killed.
  15. The problem doesn't exist with our government, it exists at the voting booth. Your fellow Americans are the ones destroying this country. If our gov't stepped so far out of line to warrant armed resistance they'd get thrown out of office at the next election cycle, but for now they will just tiptoe at the line of what is acceptable to your friends and neighbors. By the time our government steps so far over the line that liberty no longer exists and we become something resembling the socialist countries of Europe it will be to late to matter. People like us just won't exist in any significant number by then.

  18. We have a busy 4-way right outside my neighborhood. Nobody seems to know how it works. Just yesterday I pulled up as two people are just sitting there looking at each other, so I just went. I would be less upset with people who run stop signs than folks that just sit there not going because they are to afraid to go.
  19. Think of the mindset of a group of police officers involved in a shootout. They don't know who you are and they are all spun up. They are just as likely to shoot you as the bad guy. The thing to consider is if law enforcement is involved the situation is being handled by the folks being paid to handle it. I would absolutely assist an officer if I thought he was in imminent danger and there were no other officers there, but if we're taking multiple LEOs I'm just gonna keep my head down and let them do their job.
  20. Not really any good outcome for them. Both players in that conflict are hostile toward a Jewish state. Best they can do is manage the flow of weapons out.
  21. I thought they used the presence of manpads being transported in the convoy as the excuse for assassinating him.
  22. I dunno, they seem to have been doing this about once a month since last year. Remember the deep strike they did on the IRGC officer months back. That's the ballsiest thing I've seen yet and there was barely a response by Iran or Syria.
  23. It's funny because it would only take 10% of the voting population to control our scheduled revolutions (elections). If 10% decided to vote for the strongest opposition to an incumbent we'd get a new government every few years. Yes, it would be a collection of the same type of ruling class elitists, but I believe we could get them to do their job if they knew they were going to be fired at the end of their term if the gov doesn't pull its head out of its fourth point of contact. That doesn't take 30% of the population picking up rifles and doesn't end up a bloody mess.
  24. My dad was a State Trooper for over 30 years and would laugh about this. He said he'd do it when he'd see a speeder approaching on the interstate. He'd hang out in the right lane doing barely the speed limit and laugh as everyone who was going 20 over was now too scared to pass him. I pass cops all the time and have never been pulled over for it. I probably wouldn't do it if I looked like a dirtbag though.
  25. If cops are involved I'm staying down. There is a better chance they're gonna hit what they're shooting at. I've said plenty of times that I fear the good guys more than the enemy because they have training. Having been shot at a bunch by cavemen I know the feeling, and I've never been paralyzed with fear. Having been drawn down on by "friendlies" on more than one occasion I can say that is an emotional event.
