  1. We've all had to work for stupid human bosses before. Dogs are no exception. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2.   I've known a person, who should have known better, who carried a old 1911 which was not drop safe with a round in the chamber and the hammer down.  These days, people aren't willing to listen to reason, and will justify anything to make themselves not look stupid, which has the exact opposite effect.
  3. I have a Mal. They are extremely intelligent and high energy, even in old age. There may be some mellow Mals out there, but more often than not, they will require exercise and work to remain sane. Ours is medicated for anxiety, in addition to regular exercise. They are great and loving dogs, but anyone looking to get one needs to be prepared to provide for the needs of a high energy dog, or else you're not doing yourself or the dog any favors. 4. Mastiff/ridgeback more than Mal I'd guess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. There are many older pistols that are not drop safe depending on how they're carried. Old school 1911s are that way: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. In my opinion, he's been running his mouth and hitting the HGH since entering the public sector as an instructor in an attempt to compensate for his acts of cowardice back when he was a pretend "operator". He's a puffy little peacock, and he figures if he can present himself as a AAA personality, take some roids and wear his little sister's shirts, people will be less likely to question his cowardice under fire and buy time in his courses. Or maybe he is the badass he wants everyone to think he is. I don't think so, but maybe he believes it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Here is a good video which addresses both instructor zero and the infamous Yeager, once you get halfway through to the range demonstration. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBaISwLnrgo   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBaISwLnrgo ETA- Warning: Some language and scantily clad ladies.
  8. I still like doing it the old fashioned way, but I do use my uncle's industrial electric smoker for doing large quantities of meat at one time. The "set it and forget it" way is really convenient. Plus I can smoke a dozen mullet at one time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. He must be a true operator. That's where I put my snickers bars too! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Sell green lightbulb at a 500% markup and have some identifying feature to indicate it is genuine from a charity. Donate all proceeds from lightbulb to legitimate veteran's organization that isn't lining the pockets of CEOs with 1/4 million a year salary. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I was giving them to youngins, so I kept them dull. Will be a few years before they have a real edge on them. I was thinking about getting a smaller version of the curved blade knife and using it for skinning hogs. The guy I bought it from says they use it for skinning sheep/goats, so I figure it'd do fine for pigs. I might go ahead and grab one next time I'm in that area. The small ones are only 15 bucks. 12. Bersaguy, don't take the comment above by 96r the wrong way. I generally share his sentiment, and it's hard not to be a little jaded about this kinda stuff for various reasons. We experienced the exact opposite of Vietnam vets, who were treated like dog crap upon returning. I constantly remember throughout the first few years of the war the amount of pro troop support flair was all over the place. A little less as the years went on. While I have no issue with people wanting to show their support, for us jaded guys we kinda look at that stuff as being a little empty. It's hard to explain. Especially after seeing all that stuff between 9/11 to about 2005, only to see the VA continue to be a corrupt mess, and politicians not getting their feet held to the fire about it for more than a day or two. By all means, buy green lights and spread the word. Don't take the kind of questioning above as harsh criticism against it; it's just the lens some of see it through due to our experience. 13. I meant to share these a while ago, and just remembered after going through my phone. I picked up a few of these knives in Afghanistan to give to some family members as souvenirs. Thought some might be interested in seeing the jingle knives some of the Afghans are rocking up in Balkh province. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I heard they weren't good eating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15.   I think all those guys have been banned.  It seems the LEO threads were actually responsible for cleaning things up.
  16.   Nope, they're really squishy.  I grew up in Florida, and spent my late teens/early twenties working late nights.  I've squished several in a Chevy Cavalier.  They leave a mess under your car.
  17. They are nocturnal. I've never seen a live one during the day, and only see them after midnight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I'm so glad I didn't google this. I still don't know what this is, but I'm totally cool with not knowing. It sounds traumatic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Yep, I love my black racers and garter snakes and do my best not to run them over with the mower. Only snakes I'll kill on sight (if in my yard) are rattlers, copperheads and coral snakes, because of the kids and dogs. I helped my mom slay about a dozen Pygmy rattlers this year on her property when they came out of hibernation. Just don't want them around the kids. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Believe it or not, they were pushing the B1B for that. Absolutely ridiculous. I'd rather have one A-10 on the way than a dozen B1s if I'm in need. I just saw a story a few days ago that the Air Force is keeping the A-10, so the news is pretty recent. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. They did a reversal. Airforce is keeping it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Sweet, I just got in on this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Ah, I see. I thought the "C" stood for compact. Maybe someday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Hope you're not talking about TGC; those guys were always polite and helpful. The other one, which may or may not share space with a hardware store and a barber shop is to be avoided at all costs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
