  1. Yes, forgive me for missing that. My eye gets distracted by buzzwords like emotion and ax grinding.
  2. I have no ax to grind other than folks like you and others that take my opinion personally and make it personal. If you don't think there is something to learn from Zimmerman's behavior you are, once again, being disingenuous. Whether Martin was black, white, white-Hispanic or purple, Zimmerman would have found himself under EXTREME scrutiny if not in the defense seat. At a minimum he'd be getting sued into poverty. So yeah, I think my attempt at contributing to "lessons learned" so that responsible gun owners would not do the same thing as this dummy is warranted. But did I make the mistake of ending up in another thread where an opinion is not valid unless you're part of the group stoking one another to completion?
  3. Do what? Please read my posts instead of being a dick. I clearly posted not a few minutes ago that there isn't enough evidence to convict.
  4. Well, I don't believe him because he has shown himself to be a liar. I have no reason to believe him. There are lots of people on the Internet that are full of sh*t and don't believe. Do I need to justify all my reasons for not believing someone? Once again, I'm not on the jury. Jurors decide based on evidence and testimony backed by evidence or other testimony. It doesn't matter how trustworthy Zimmerman is or not for them. For me, I don't believe him. Is that okay with you?
  5. You must be kidding... really I don't see how you wrote that sentence with a straight face. Everyone here is doing the exact thing you're saying, only opposite, suggesting that Treyvon could have done a number of things differently. My post was to point out how that goes both ways. I'm sorry you did not pick up on that subtly, I thought it was obvious. At any rate, this isn't a website aimed at 17 year old, intercity black youths. It is a firearms website with the majority of members carrying firearms. To not point out Zimmerman's stupid behavior is, well stupid.
  6. There is absolutely zero evidence that tells us definitively how this started. You're being disingenuous to suggest that you're doing anything other than "guessing".
  7. Huh? I'm sorry, where was the reliable testimony of the witness who saw it from beginning to end? If I show a video of someone getting their ass kicked you're gonna think the kicker is the bad guy and the guy getting kicked is the victim. The first part of that video may well be the "victim" attempting to rob the "bad guy". I'm not arguing guilt or innocence here, I'm telling you that you don't know how it started and neither does anyone else, unless you have been promoted to an all-seeing being status we are not aware of.
  8. To to jail for what, praying? Has anyone been arrested for that? I don't agree that taking the Ten Commandments out of a courthouse is somehow persecuting Christians. I'm sure there are better examples than that. When Muslims find their faith under ridicule or the like they take to the streets and burn things like a bunch of insolent children throwing a tantrum. If that is how Christians start behaving every time someone mocks Jesus it will be a sad day for all of us.
  9. And Treyvon had no duty to run away. He could have followed Zimmerman too, or even waited in the shadows to approach him and ask him what his problem was, right? For all we know that is what happened and Zimmerman threw the first punch. I'm not arguing whether he should be convicted, as I do not believe there is enough evidence to convict him of any crime here, but for many who keep saying that it has been proven as fact how it all went down are full of BS. There is only one person in the world who knows for sure. One thing I know for sure, if HCP holders model their behavior after Zimmerman they have a much higher chance of finding themselves in a courtroom than the rest of us.
  10. There is something in there about turning the other cheek. Taking up arms in the name of religion, any religion, is one of the most backward, caveman things to do. Taking up arms for the freedom to believe is different.
  11. They're on to us.
  12. I used to tell this to my uncle all the time. It don't matter if you're doin' the speed limit. If you're not about to hang a left you should be in the right lane. If ya don't wanna speed up any then "ease" back and fall in line. The "old" drivers handbook used to state, as well, that regardless of traffic speed, even if it's above posted limits you should merge into traffic at as close to the prevelent speed as possible, so as not to obstruct the flow of traffic purely out of safety. Ease down after you're out there, if need be. You don't see that in the handbook, anymore, I think. The problem is that these impatient, non-driving tailgaters don't care what lane you're in. And once again, there are more roads out there than just interstates. I just drove across three states a few weeks back and dealt with every kind of moron on the road. The tailgaters are amongst the worse. I still, for the life of me, can't understand how there are grown adults here that defend such actions (because the are likely offenders themselves). I drive a pretty normal speed, and will make sure to stay out of the passing lane unless I'm passing, but these aholes can not be avoided and the only recourse is to slow down about 20mph so that they either pass or have a massive coronary because they are flipping out like little girls in my rear view.
  13. To the Sensitive Sallys, It is not as if making some Islam jokes is an indictment of every person of that faith. I have yet to meet a Jewish person who had less Jew jokes than I and I can't count the number of Catholic jokes I've heard in the past year from the most catholic person on earth. Life is made for making fun of. Now, for why Islam is "attacked" so much I would refer you to the hoards of violent demonstrators who will take to the streets and demand blood each time Momo the Sheep Raper is depicted in a negative light, or depicted at all..... feel free to use the previous sentence as an example. If such a sentence was said by a celebrity via twitter there'd be a fatwa by the end of the day demanding his head and violent protests across the Islamic world with signs threatening death to those that insult the Prophet, The Messenger, The Beloved, The Child Raper, The Chosen one.... If you replaced that sentence above with "Jesus" as opposed to "Momo" you wouldn't find many in the US taking to the streets demanding blood. Yeah, people would be pissed, they would boycott and maybe even protest, but they would not be threatening violence with the exception of a few kooks not claimed by their fellow Christians. Islamic culture throughout the world would react in a violent manner as the majority, leaving only the "kooks" in their religion to believe it isn't that big a deal. So I believe, in my opinion, the reason there is so much draw for Americans to poke a finger in the eye of Islam is because of our nature as freedom loving, oppression hating patriots. Our founding principles were based on not being told what to do, but instead to govern ourselves. So it should come as no surprise that folks would take a dim view of a culture that threatens violence against us for exercising a basic God-given right. I participated in "Everybody Draw Muhammed Day", not because I'm ignorant and intolerant, but because Islamo-Fascists around the world were threatening to kill cartoonists who depicted Muhammed. Well I'll be damned if any monkeys from Suckistan will attempt to control the actions of free men. That is the American spirit right there. It isn't about being intolerant, it's about not being told what to do under threat of violence. I'd rather die than be told I can't even speak freely. Some people would call such behavior uneducated and ignorant, but I'm neither. I am very familiar with Islamic culture and faith. And my opinion on it is not at odds with my belief in the same freedoms afforded to American Muslims. I even have Muslim friends and have interacted with thousands (yes thousands) of Muslims in my lifetime. I get that not all of them are freedom hating fascists. I believe that their faith has and is being hijacked by extremists, but I DON'T give any of the moderates a pass because they either fail to recognize the radicalization that is occurring in their faith or they are too cowardly to speak out about it. Either way, they have no reason to look outward for why there is so much distrust and ridicule in the direction of Islam from the Western world; they need to look inward at their own friends and neighbors.
  14. ... prayin' to the moon god as we speak...

I assume it didn't come with any scope at that price. For reference, the scope that comes in the M24 kit is nearly 2K alone. Then add in all the other crap on top of the price of the gun. The rifle pictured here appears to look the same, although that is a different stock than what came in the original kit (pictured on that site). All fine I'm sure, I just thought you were talking about the complete SWS. I'm sure the rifle featured in the original post has more cowbell on it, and surely the stock on that one is a little more expensive, but I wouldn't pay that much for a .308 when there are cheaper rifles that shoot just as well, like the one your brother has.

FYI, an actual M24 kit (with box and all the bells and whistles) is about $10k. It ain't just a Remmy 700 with a scope on it. Lotta expensive stuff goes into these kits and it adds up.
  17. Arabs chop each other's heads off all the time. Usually it involves something religious, but rarely is it involving a Christian victim. They just like having an excuse to chop heads off because they are all savages at heart. Best we keep our wiener as far from the salad shooter as possible. For more on what our policy on Middle East politics should be please refer to S.O.D. lyrics.
  18. I don't have an android, but if I did I'd troll this app and mark every place I went, to include just randomly driving to work and marking as fast as I could hit the button. Gun owners need to paint their maps red... the mall, parks, stores, everywhere....
  19. Mmmm, love me some Nancy quotation fingers....
  20. Probably the best most general thing I would suggest is call the Popo, then make sure to holler that the police are less than a minute out. That should stop most folks from doing what they're doing. If someone was in that category of great bodily harm or death I would not be able to face myself in the mirror if I did not intervene.
  21. Have a nice day douchebag. You have successfully chased me from the debate. If folks like yourself aren't capable of discussing topics like adults and not hurling insults because other folks disagree then have fun jerking each other off. I'd at least have some respect for you if you offered to strap the gloves on and have a go at a local ring, but apparently you are to much of a puss to back up your insults. Have fun.
  22. Where I'm from some who runs their suck without backing it up is a coward. Keep running your mouth, but I know the truth which is you are a scared little girl. I challenge you to come on down to my neck of the woods and repeat any of your nonsense to my face.
  23. Yeah but she's fun to hate. Sometimes I think it's just an act. No one could possibly be that bad in every way.
