I'm not saying they were wrong or anything for enforcing the law, it just seems a bit excessive and unnecessary. The recon by helicopter really stood out to me because of the amount of resources they would have to spend in order to loiter a helicopter for an extended period of time to catch them letting this animal out. I doubt the people at the shelter were acting with any sort of malice, unless there is something I don't know... maybe they were starting a fawn fighting ring? I just think that this is a case where an officer could go in, tell them the situation and take the animal. I doubt they would argue if they knew they'd be facing felony charges otherwise.

I can't imagine how good that must feel. I still got a ways to go on my house, but we add on a bit to the payments to knock down the principle. I just found out that my in laws, who recently retired and have lived in the same house for 40 years, are nowhere near owning it. There is a valuable lesson there.

Last I heard Grandpas was posted. I haven't been in there for probably 8-9 years now due to an extremely unprofessional gun counter staff, but I've heard from others that they are posted.
-
Shhhhhh! We can't talk about that or they'll pull my clearance.
-
It seems like they could have just walked into the shelter and asked as opposed to all the production. I mean, they used a helicopter to recon whether or not there was indeed a fawn there. Why not just go to the shelter, tell them what the deal is and take the animal?

Yep, and people still holler about free market this or that. It isn't a free market at all. There are a few people who are controlling this by cutting off our source and gouging. Once people stop buying from aholes with overpriced ammo they are obviously gouging, everything will go back to normal.

You know there are reasons why beer is kept cold other than because someone wants to drink it right out of the cooler, right? The problem isn't with people drinking WHILE driving, it's with people drinking THEN driving. People drink at home and get on the road all the time. Gas stations keeping beer cold is not the problem. Bars are not the problem. Alcohol is not the problem. Making any argument other than personal responsibility is the same as supporting gun control laws that restrict carry, magazine limits, types of firearms and ammunition. Once again, blaming inanimate objects or suggesting the restriction of everyone for the actions of a few.
-
I'm sure it happens, but I've never seen a drunk guy get rolled up by the cops unless he was being belligerent. At least where I am, it seems like one of those laws that is only enforced when someone is being an ahole.
-
Hell yeah! That thing was rad! Especially with that boss sound system.
-
. Huh? How about personal damn responsibility? I used to have drinks every night at the bar next door to my apartment. Never had to drive. When we bought a house we took a cab or one of us DD'd. Why should I be told by the nanny state what I can or can't do because of what irresponsible people do? How about we just appropriately punish people for breaking the law?

Drunk drivers who kill people should be eligible for the death penalty. It is premeditated murder.

Saying Al Qaeda is about defeated and emptying embassies
TMF replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Well, I'll say that there is no doubt that there are several organizations out there who have the training, funding and motivation to conduct attacks against us and our allies. That threat will never go away. The internet has changed the way terrorism works as a strategy. Success is acheived with the smallest attacks of little to no consequence. So it's safe to say that for the rest of our lives this will be the norm. So I'm not so quick to call this a distraction, since it is realistic that this threat exists. They can't all be hoaxes, obviously. But I'm sure if we would have reacted to intel on 9/11 and stopped it, there would be plenty of folks who would say it was all a distraction by Clinton/Bush or whoever was in office. I don't think this takes the eye off the ball. The Zimmerman thing sure did, but I don't think the al Qaeda threat is doing this administration any favors, especially since the reaction to the threat was dramatic enough to conflict with what Obama has said about al Qaeda in recent history. No, I think this is an effort to keep another black eye like Benghazi from happening. Obama couldn't be so lucky to have another white guy shoot a black teen and take the focus off his scandals. They were playing this one safe to prevent an attack, in my opinion. -
Big difference between a YouTube play and child pornography, beastiality, etc.

What the fuck indeed. That is quite the leap in logic there bud. I guess when I was a kid and we played cowboys and Indians with the cap guns our parents got us they were really teaching us that killing and genocide were okay. I'll be sure to report my parents to The Hague right away.

In Clarksville we had 5 gang related shootings and/or robberies in the past week. It was fine when all that stuff was confined to the projects, but it is spilling out into the neighborhoods and businesses. The city has made clear we don't have a gang problem. It's a matter of time before one of these animals gets smoked by a HCPer, and then it will be interesting to see how out city handles it. Another trigger happy cracker killing a poor black kid who isn't at fault for his actions. At the heart of all this is our weak ass judge and sorry excuse for a DA. In the past few years I've seen a man get aggravated assault after shooting two people in the head and one in the chest with a gun he was legally not allowed to have since he was a felon. He was never even charged with being in possession of a weapon, and all the attempted murder charges were pled down. I've also seen a woman who had 5 DUIs kill a man while driving drunk. She got probation. Then there was a recent one where a man shot an unarmed man and woman in the parking lot of a DAYCARE as the two were dropping of their child. The shooter was allowed to plead down to a slap on the wrist. There are many more, but these are examples as to the consequence free environment the legal system and her slimy lawyers and bleeding heart judges have created. These people have nothing to lose. Even if the actually do time, it isn't very long and only adds to their "street cred". What these stupid stupid DAs and judges don't understand is that this emboldens these criminals to take it a step further, since they know they can get away with it. Eventually it won't be other gangbangers at the end of the barrel, it will be the people that pay taxes and their children. Then, when people start to fight back and clean house we'll be the ones facing life in prison. I can't fit how stupid and backwards this way of thinking is. What I do know is that these pro-crime judges and DAs need to suck start a shotgun. This is their fault. The excuse about potentially losing a case and letting a guilty man go free is BS. I'd rather see them try a criminal for a crime they committed and lose than see them give up and get a conviction with zero consequence. For some reason these idiots think a conviction bothers these animals. It doesn't. They go out and get a tattoo in celebration. Edited to add, we just had another "victory" for our DA here in Clarksville this week. A 28 year old man raped a 15 year old girl who was on her way home from school. He has been held in the jail until his trial. He just pled down to Aggravated Statuatory Rape, and was sentenced to probation and time served. He is a free man today, and is living in the same house. One of these days one of these animals is going to be delivered to the courthouse steps in a dozen separate trashbags, and then suddenly there will be outrage that someone would do such a thing. I don't see how these slimy lawyers and judges sleep at night. I bet their tune would change if someone was raping and killing their children.

I love flying Southwest. I always fly that airline when going to Florida. I wish they had service everywhere I fly.

I get all that, but what I was suggesting is whether or not we really know how a nuke EMP will effect the grid and common electronics devices if we haven't tested it recently? Do we REALLY know or are we just going with worst case scenario that three nukes detonated in the upper atmosphere would kill every electronic device, car and transformer on the east side of the country? I don't know, but based on some of the stuff I've read it seems that isn't true.

Was out there a couple of months ago and was slaying them left and right. Went out a week afterward in hopes of the same and there was nothing out there.
-
Haha, oh that sounds like something the left would do. They so much want her story to be true because it validates the racism they want to believe exists. Bunch of fools that have been scammed. Even if her story were true, which it has been proven that it hasn't, how does anyone justify how they went after this attorney for simply providing an alibi for an innocent cop? Unbelievable. Anyway, she is being forced to pay a percentage of her earnings each month. I assume that she is going to be back in a courtroom reeeeaaaaaal soon since those donations to her are income, and therefore the victim is entitled to a percentage of that money. What is going to be funny is how this sorry turd in a human suit will seek to hide the money so she can buy drugs and flat screens. Either way, I'm betting she won't have near enough in donations to cover what she owes, so the fact remains that she will never earn another dime in her life without having to give a percentage to the victim until the day this awful human gets kicked off the planet.

You have watched the show, right? It lays out pretty clear the destructive nature of meth and other drugs. If you tallied up all the characters from each season you would see that the majority of them are dead by now. The main character's life has been ruined due to greed, when his original motives were simply taking care of his family. There is nothing glamorous about the use, dealing or manufacturing of meth on this show. It is, however, a great story line.

I thought the TN State Guard was under the direction of state government, like in Georgia.

Seems like an abbreviation of "I got you", which is an affirmative response. Having been in the military that was a pretty common response to things. I'm sure I use it all the time. Doesn't at all seem weird to me.

Half of the members there are likely from various 3-letter agencies. Not that I have a problem with a civilian organization in the event of something happening that would require such an organization to exist, the problem is that it will get attention you don't want and many of the people (at least ones that I have met) who are in such organizations have such extremist views that the real purpose for having the organization is lost. I would love to be in a citizen militia that conducted regular training for the purpose of homeland defense, and would aid during natural disasters as well as volunteer itself in the community for various good causes. Unfortunately, folks I have met who are in these types of groups predominantly share extremist views such as white supremacy, violent overthrow of the US government, criminal activity and sympathy toward terrorist attacks against the government and civilians (such as the Oklahoma City bombing). This is the reason most folks like myself will never be part of such a community.
-
No, as I interpreted it you meant that this indeed happened. If that isn't what you meant then okay, but that is what I was responding to.
-
Ha, thanks for putting it into terms that is understandable to a wider audience.
