  1. Okay, if you want to play technicality game, the sign can stay up there as long as they like. It is a freedom of speech issue. So, I can out up any sign at my business that says anything I want so long as it isn't a copyright infringement. So, then yes, such a sign could last until it it illegible due to weathering from sunlight and ambient moisture.
  2. This is their culture. They are brought up to be shameless liars.
  3. They can't implant enough explosives into themselves to cause any real damage other than spreading their body parts everywhere. They would have to cram several pounds of explosives into themselves, which would take up too much room, as it would all have to be located in the same spot, such as a gut. Even then, they'd have a beach ball belly which wouldn't pass through a body scanner due to the irregular shape which would earn you a pat down where it would be discovered. Then you have to figure you need an initiation device to set it off. I guess they could cram that up their butt, since they're into that sorta thing anyway, but to what end? They still can't do much damage to the aircraft unless maybe they blow themselves up at the cock pit door. Even then I would be surprised if it did anything to the aircraft other than require a hose to clean it up. Bad guys in Iraq did this all the time with dead bodies and dead animals. You'd be amazed how much a body absorbs a blast.
  4. You're delving into anti-discrimination laws there. A business owner still has the right to refuse service to anyone they want and restrict them from entering the property. If someone feels they were illegally discriminated against they would have to prove it. Regardless, firearms owners are not a protected class from discrimination. In my opinion, anti-discrimination laws are BS. Your house, your rules. The gov trying to legislate morality is more wrong than someone who refuses service to someone based on the color of their skin.
  5. I'm with you there. Another bleeding heart interjected into the story to make the hero look good and compassionate while making other Marines out to be monsters. I would add that there is nothing that the Marines could have done to the Japs that I would classify as atrocities, even in my wildest imagination. The Japs had a monopoly on evil during that time, and deserved everything they got.
  6. This surprises me too. I've actually let some of that slip by because I didn't need it, but I've seen the buckets of bullets and such for sale. Shipping adds a bit to the cost, but when you buy enough it makes up for it. What I don't understand are the people who are still buying it from Bubba for 5X the cost when they could get it cheaper if they just had a little patience. Maybe they don't know any better? I just wish I could go to the store like I used to and grab rounds while I'm there. It's a convenience thing. What bothers me aren't shooters and hoarders who are using the stuff, it's the scalpers. If it weren't for a very select few we wouldn't be having such an ammo shortage.
  7. Umm, do I have to point out that there is a big difference between committing a crime against someone on your property, such as assault or murder, and simply saying you don't want them there? I mean, really??? Property rights absolutely SHOULD trump your rights. And really, it doesn't need to trump any of your rights since the person who allows or disallows you on a property is the owner. How is it violating anyone's God given rights to tell them to leave? I can tell you how it is violating their God given rights to NOT leave when they say so. Unless there is a contract otherwise, a property owner should be able to evict anyone he wants without cause. That is simply right to property.
  8. Easy there, killer. Best I could tell was that your "point" was the lack of outcry or something folks on TGO would show regarding this versus religious freedoms in the same scenario. I care equally as much, which is not at all. I'm more concerned with a person's property rights than I am the rights of a person to do whatever on that property. If someone got denied housing for any reason, even those reasons protected under the equal housing act, I would not care. My opinion will always favor property rights.
  9. I got that. Just throwing it out there that simply because I don't care about this doesn't mean I don't equally not give a sh** if someone wants to throw a person out for believing or not believing in something.
  10. I wouldn't care if an apartment complex said you can't live here if you're a Christian, or a Muslim, or an atheist or whatever. It's their property.
  11. We do have the power to change it. If people would stop buying a $15 brick of ammo for $50 from JimBob on Armslist then scalpers would stop cutting off our supply.
  12. I still haven't watched Force 10 from Navarone. Gonna get around to it one of these days.
  13. Generation Kill has to be my favorite, although it's a mini-series, not a movie. They almost hit the nail on the head with that one. Painting war as anything but glamorous and focusing on much of the BS that goes with being in that environment. Hollywood has acted like they want to make an effort with movies like The Hurt Locker, but they make it so stupid, unrealistic and dramatic that no one with two days in the military would classify it as being accurate or even mildly entertaining. Generation Kill really focused on the people of the story from their perspective, rather than focusing on exploits and drama.
  14. Somehow there are entire cultures of people living in the desert for at least 10,000 years, and they still have drinking water despite getting less than an inch of rainfall a year in some places. I'm not too worried about the earth drying up of all water. If something happens where the US goes third world overnight, with our lakes and waterways turning into polluted sources like in most of Africa, we will still, somehow, endure. If the spigot does just turn off one day, folks still have a long time before they're dying of thirst, at least if they're smart. A hot water heater alone has enough water to make it through for a while until you have to find another source. As far as bathing, well, believe it or not you don't need a bath. Folks go entire lifetimes without bathing. I've gone about a month with nothing more than baby wipes, which is more just to keep the stank down so I can live with myself. When it rains, that's when you lather up and stand outside naked.
  15. I was referring to any language in the contract which may ban firearms and making possession of such on the property voiding the contract. For all we know it could already be in the contract and they're just now enforcing it.
  16. Well the difference here is that the complex is private property. I believe that if you rent a place out, you reserve the right to evict a person for any reason or no reason at all. It's their property, after all. Of course, when entering into a contractual agreement it is a little different. If this rule breaches the contract then the complex should go pound sand. Otherwise, the tenants should leave within 90 days. It's a crappy situation, and I sure would be pissed if I lived there, but property rights should trump the tenant.
  17. I gonna come down on the side of the property owners on this one to some degree. If they don't want guns on their property, then fine. They owe each tenant 90 days to move out, and during that time those tenants should be free to keep their guns in their apartment. Otherwise it is a breach of contract on their part unless there was something in the lease agreement that said you can't have firearms. On another note, if I was a rapist or a burglar, I would certainly know what apartment complex I'm gonna hit.
  18. So I can open up my own ammo store without an FFL?
  19. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in order to be an ammo dealer I thought you needed an FFL. These aholes who are taking all the ammo at source and reselling it for profit are generating an income from it, so they are breaking the law.
  20. It was user Dubaholic. I remember because he accused me of contacting his boss. So not only was he a douche, but then he decides to make wild accusations. This is after I already warned him that he could get in trouble for his actions since other companies, like Walmart, will fire you for it. Apparently he thought that meant I could be the only person on a site with 17,000 members that would contact his work. That guy got what he deserved. F*** him.
  21. . They're selling what they buy for three and four times what it's worth. Been to Armslist in the past few months? If it weren't true then all the stories about it being the same few people buying the ammo would be BS. Since I've already confirmed it at a couple of local stores, I would say that everyone else is probably telling the truth too.
  22. Can you imagine if people were allowed to carry ninja stars and nunchucks??? Blood in the streets! Just watch TMNT and you'll know what I'm talking about! Thank goodness for these laws that keep us safe!
  23. So if someone is skeptical over a improbable theory they are drinking the Obama Kool Aid? Is that what you're implying?
