Round counters already exist for AR15s. Some Army units had them several years ago. It's built into the pistol grip, so it takes up no room and doesn't affect functionality.

Ahhhhh! Looking at that picture makes me wanna make someone push the earth! Can't..... fight..... indoctrination.....

Right on, I didn't know that. On another note, he doesn't want this farce to end. He is making a point. I'm not sure what that point is, but he is bent on making it.
-
Ha, for some of us it isn't a hobby, it's a burden.
-
It's called indoctrination. I get the same way even though I know it's irrational. In the Army there's always the fear that someone is gonna stick their finger in your dirty chamber and make you look like a sh**bag, even though it has nothing to do with the operation of the weapon.

I could care less the color of anyone's skin or what their motive was for killing this guy. I just believe that if the races were reversed this would be a story about race instead the murder of a foreign national, and our president would somehow involve himself in it. Liberals just disgust me. Bunch of hypocrites and racists.

He may say that to make his actions sounds righteous to the leftist crowd, but he did this just for the sake of doing it. He wanted to do something to satisfy his ego and ended up getting caught. It was easy for him to claim this was for queer justice because gay marriage is the hot topic of the day. I doubt he's even gay. If he ain't, he is sure to be initiated into the club soon.

If you were in W Tennessee I'd say have everyone bring their lower and parts and I'll bring tools and walk everyone through. Pretty easy, just do it in a room where it is easy to find a spring that went airborne... it happens. I do it in a tiled room now.

Gun control group: 'Skip Starbucks Saturday'
TMF replied to TerryW's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
It is sad that we have come to a point where it is an expectation for a business to immediately adopt a liberal policy when there is any pressure from the left, and when a business does not immediately cave we have appreciative. I totally agree with you, as I too like that Starbucks isn't giving in to a largely left-leaning clientel. It just says a lot about where we are right now as a country. I'm not so certain that Starbucks would maintain their policy if there was a shooting at one of their stores followed by extreme pressure from the leftist media. That's me being cynical, but I think it might be true. -
Gun control group: 'Skip Starbucks Saturday'
TMF replied to TerryW's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Well, keep in mind that not having a policy one way or the other doesn't make a company an activist or a supporter. Starbucks doesn't have to pick a side on this. They're strategy is to simply obey state law. The liberals are claiming that by not coming up with their own policy they are somehow responsible. Meanwhile, gun owners look at Starbucks as taking a stand against the hippies, when in fact they aren't doing that at all. They could care less who carries or who doesn't. They're just trying to sell coffee. The only reason I'd OC into a Starbucks is to piss off the wannabe hippies. Other than that, a cup of their coffee costs more than a pound of sirloin with my Kroger Plus Card. That's why I don't go there. -
Probably. My MIL isn't a bad person, but her pension is in jeopardy. With all this, she still is rabidly union and Democrat. She and my FIL blame all this on Republicans. I find it difficult to feel bad for them, since they voted for the situation they are in. They aren't bad people though, just incredibly ignorant that they are just pawns manipulated into believing in an alternate reality.

Did anyone else hear that sound?

This sounds like my in-laws. They go down to Florida for the winter then complain about how redneck the state is. Drives me nuts.

Soon he might not be a gun owner at all.

Maybe he'll appeal his conviction on account of impotent counsel.
I want to say it was one of the CZ series like the 24/26, one of those. I'll have to read back and see. Don't think Russian, not British, maybe German?
You're thinking of the 23. Pretty unique gun. One of the few I haven't shot but have gotten to second base with. The only Czech sub I've had to shoot were those little scorpions, which are a neat range toy to play with. Edit: yeah, I found it on wiki- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sa_vz._23

I've shot nearly every FA subgun made before the 80s. Gimme a hint and I'll probably know it.

I have two of their uppers that a CMT employee here pointed me towards. I'm down for a lower.

You have a better chance of being right on those points than I do. I just am having a hard time believing that this was an "out of the blue" type thing. I don't have any evidence to that effect, I just feel as if there is more to the story in regard to what the MIL did following the shooting.
-
Well they didn't exactly work the same way. The reason you could get semi out of an M45, for example, is because the cyclic rate was so darn slow that if you pulled once and released it took forever for the bolt to cycle. The way the Steyr works is way different. It is actually a selector dependent upon how far back the trigger goes.

hahaha, you won this thread!

I guess Lenny is gonna find out for us. See, he is good for something! The tax thing seems like a technicality though, and I think this whole thing was to get them in a catch-22, where they could arrest him for having a prohibited firearm, but it was not a prohibited firearm based on documentation he isn't required to show them, so they could not determine that the firearm was legal. I mean, imagine tooling around with a .50 cal machine gun on your jeep and then telling the cop to pound sand when he asks for your FA paperwork on it. I mean, I guess in a perfect system we wouldn't need such silly things as tax stamps in the first place, but we do and it is generally not a good idea to pick a fight with a cop using technicalities.

If there was a book it would be called 50 Shades of Stupid.

This guy could save a lot of time if he would just go set money on fire and subject himself to a violent gang rape. Oh well, I guess he'll have to experience the extended version.
