1.   Eh, it's a low blow, but they're into that.... for money, ya know?
2.   There is nothing I disagree with there.  I'm sure at some point I've said very similar things.  It is not as if I don't acknowledge that racism exists in black communities.  Jesse Jackson wouldn't have a job if it didn't.  I can also see that all the recent racial discontent being sown by this administration by getting involved with cases like Zimmerman is stoking the fires.  It reminds me of the stories I heard from Iraqis in regard to how Saddam kept the Sunnis and Shias hating each other.  They both saw what he was doing, but they couldn't rise above it.   I do believe that there are crimes being carried out on whites by blacks due to race alone.  There is the perceived victimization by whites that many blacks are raised to believe.  It's only natural that once males arrive to the testosterone age that they would start lashing out at what they believed to be their enemy.    Even though I can see all that, I still can't bring myself to make this a race issue.  It is an ignorance issue.  When we call something a race issue it means we apply it to all people of that race.  I certainly don't believe that the black folks I know have any intention of involving themselves in a race war against whites any more than I would want to hurt them in a race war against blacks.  I just don't get that part.  Jesse Jackson gets up and says racist comments such as "white people are blah blah blah".  That is an all inclusive statement.  If he was only referring to white racists he would simply refer to them as the minority that they are; folks who are racists against blacks.  He doesn't though, and that's why he is a flaming racist.  I don't see how it is different for a white person to suggest that "black people hate whites" because that is also all inclusive.    We could say that there are racist black folks out there, and there are, but condemning an entire race to be "their side" is not something I could be on board with.  Plowing through a crowd of protesters blocking the interstate, well now you're getting into something I'm on board with.  Executing people who kill innocent old WWII vets.. yeah, all day long I could swing that ax.  Blaming blacks as a whole?.. not so much.  If I was black I'd want nothing to do with these types of people and would be pretty pissed if someone suggested that I am partly responsible for not policing up people who share my skin pigment.
3. Even I forgave Metallica after the whole Napster thing, and I loved me some Napster. I can still enjoy their music (it took me a few years) even though they are a bunch of whiners. The Dixie Chicks are a different story for two reasons: 1. They went to another country and badmouthed our President during a concert. I don't approve of that. Therefore I think that anyone who buys their music or pays for a concert ticket is contributing to their political campaign. I will not contribute. 2. The way that Americans responded was by not purchasing their music and asking their radio stations to stop playing their songs. The Dixie Chicks responded with righteous indignation, saying that their freedom of speech was being violated or something. Apparently they believe that we are OBLIGATED to listen and buy their music, and that their "free speech" is separate of that, even though it is their music which is providing them a soapbox. It is no different then sending money to Al Gore to listen to him talk about Manbearpig. So the Dixie Chicks can STFU. They hate America and the basic principles of liberty so much that I can't understand why they are still here. I can't believe there are country stations that still play their crap. Bunch of hookers.
4. In a free society a business can refuse service to anyone for any reason, that includes protected classes.
5. If it is about race, what does it change about this case? What does it change about anything else?
6. I assume you aren't telling them to pound sand though.
7. As always, great to hear your opinion and experience. Above is the video I was referencing before.
8.
It makes total sense. If you were to put an average sensible family man/woman in office they would be crushed by all the under table politics and back stabbing because they would probably call out corruption.
http://youtu.be/PDVvYzEdp_s I found what I was talking about. I saw it on Big Think.
9. Sand bags can absorb quite a bit of energy. Based on how that hit, it is way bigger or faster than a .50.
10. Luckily for me I don't interpret a situation based on the emotional reactions of "the other side" in a reversed situation. I just don't see how JJ and Sharpton's race baiting means that I automatically have to make assumptions as well about all blacks when a couple of black guys beat a white person to death. Maybe it is racially motivated, but so what? Why should that change anything? The guy is still dead. Who do I have to be mad at other than the little monsters who did this and the breeders that raised them? Trust me, if the state of Washington asked me to be the executioner on this I'd not hesitate to get my hands bloody delivering justice, but I have no anger at anyone except for those responsible. Making this about race is just as bad as the race baiters. The moral high ground has better fields of fire. That's where "our side" needs to be.
11. I dunno, someone of sound mind doesn't pace back and forth down a busy road wielding a revolver in his hand JUST so he can pick a fight with some cops. I don't think a doc would have a hard time finding him too batty to own firearms.
12.
I agree, but as I said before, the issue is far more complex than that. They hate being treated differently because of their skin color. It happens far more than it should. there's just certian aspects of the issue that are difficult for the other side to understand.
Surely I can't know your experiences better than you, but are you sure you're not just interpreting it that way? I mean, if you're subconsciously looking for it then you may see things that are not there; sorta like a person who carries a concealed handgun for the first time.... in their mind everyone is looking at them. It's just that I have a hard time accepting that this day in age black folks experience this on a regular basis. I've worked with folks who throw around the N-word like it's cool and they are as nice and cordial to black people as anyone else, so long as they aren't thuggish. Maybe I just don't see it?
13. Folks are gonna see what they want to see. This wasn't the first old guy to get beat to death for fun. Believe it or not, it happened all the time before the Internet and 24 hour news. The problem is socioeconomic. I don't live my life thinking the darkies are out to get me anymore than black folks should think that white folks are out to get them. Bad people do bad things. These two could have just as easily whooped an old black guy from the lodge. I don't think it mattered to them. If it did, what difference does it make? Does that mean I need to look at every black person I see as a threat or hold them accountable for the actions of other blacks? I'll start doing that when I start taking responsibility for the violent actions of other white people, who I have no power to control by virtue of race.
14. Ha, does that mean you see the relevance of such an opinion or look at it through the eyes of a skeptic?
15. Funny you mention that. I recently recall reading or seeing a story on TV regarding politicians and sociopathic tendencies, as explained by a psychologist.
16. Umm, like every time I watch a movie the criminals always have fully automatic guns and silencers. Clearly they're a preferred tool of gangsters and need to be thrown into the fires or Mordor.
17. Pictures or it didnt happen.
18. If you read the article you'll see that "this administration" is listed as an "enemy". And yes, he is an Internet commando. Manager of what exactly? It says this guy was in charge of buying ammo, so that tells me he is just some logistics guy who probably does nothing more than fill requests for support with purchases. I dunno, the article doesn't say what his job is, so using the term "manager" is subjective and meant to elicit a response from the reader. Otherwise they would have actually included his title; forgive me for being suspicious for as to why they didn't. Furthermore, his being a radical black man planning for a race war makes him different from a white person preparing for a race war how? This may come as a shock to you, but there are plenty of white supremacists at various government agencies. They may not have their own race war Facebook page, but they exist. Why would this guy be an indicator of anything other than law of averages? If you get a sampling of enough people you're bound to get a few looney tunes in the bunch. Just look at TGO.
19. This ruling violates a very basic principle of liberty.  Two homos not getting their picture taken does not violate their rights.  They can go elsewhere in a free marketplace.  Forcing someone to abandon their religious beliefs absolutely violates a person's rights.
20. I love how liberal Democrats justify a tax increase because there hasn't been one in years.  That is what his argument is here.  As if there exists the expectation that taxes should increase in percentage as time goes on.  People like this need to kick their oxygen habit for the good of the rest of us.
21. What a terrible precedent. Once again, an example of how one group seeks power over the other, not for the sake of their own equality, but to punish the previous group using the same tactics as were used against them.
22. Stuff like this has always happened and always will happen. A couple of cowards killing a defenseless person is nothing new. It is a horrible crime that should be punished by death, but I am not convinced this is anything more than inhumanity which has existed throughout mankind's history on this earth. Let us not fall into the same trap that liberals do every time a white guy kills a black guy. I agree that if the races were reversed that the libs would be all over this, but we should be better than them. They are the race baiters.
23. You have to go to the Middle East to see anyone hanged. They aren't racist about it. They hang black folks just as easy as Arabs. Funny how the KKK (and hollywood) have given hanging a racial connotation. As if a person could only be hanged if they were a victim of the Klan. Hangings should be the standard for murderers and rapists. It is such a humiliating and dishonorable way to die.
24. Please, let's not lump the whole of the black population into this. His website is no different than any of the hundreds of white supremacy websites calling for the same race war. I don't know about you, but it pisses me off when I see folks lumping me into that category simply because I'm white. This is nothing more than an Internet commando who is of zero consequence. If the funk hit the fan, don't expect folks like him to be fighting in the streets. There are plenty of folks out there like myself who would not hesitate to throw down and lay some scunion if things got bad, but crap like this ain't even on my radar. I don't think that qualifies me as having my head in the sand, just recognizing what a threat is or isn't.
25. Criminally, no. Not unless the prosecution was able to prove that he actually broke a law. Civilly I wouldn't award him jack squat. He created the scenario with the intention of a lawsuit. Intent is everything. He's like those people who walk around stores looking for a wet spot to slip on, then sue for injuries. Folks who go out of their way to get injured don't deserve a cash reward, since they are culpable in their injury. Lenny is no different. He deserves nothing for his troubles.
