I don't have a lot of time to write a long response, so I'll sum this up by giving thought to what can be accomplished in times of crisis versus times of peace. You're applying timelines based on normal operating conditions. If we did that for the hundreds of life changing inventions that came about during the 40's or the industrial revolution, we would conclude that nuclear weapons and automobiles would not be a thing right now, or certainly would have taken longer. Necessity is the mother of invention. It would be hard to recover, but we could do it with a country of people working in concert for a common goal. If you apply current day values of self absorbed society, with priorities being everything other than the basics of food/water/shelter/security, your conclusion won't reflect what would actually happen in the event of complete grid collapse. My system does this. My entry cameras all record on motion and send an email with a still shot when motion is sensed. I have a still shot lot of all activity on my property and can go back to review the footage to see if there is anything suspicious going on. Criminals don't normally pick targets at random. Most, at least the more successful ones, will case first. I have overt and covert cameras, a sign indicating my alarm system, attack dog, and I stare down every unfamiliar/suspicious vehicle I see in my neighborhood. I love having deterrents, but I also like knowing what's going on that I don't see. So the images go right to the email account on my iPhone:

And escalators. For crying out loud, if you're going down, gravity is doing all the work. All you have to do is put one foot in front of the other. Part of me wants to yell at these people, "This is why you are going to die 10-15 years before me, because you're so GD lazy you won't even walk downstairs when the stairs are MOVING FOR YOU!" But then I consider that this is why they are morbidly obese and look at people like me and wonder how we do it. Not being the laziest effing creatures on the planet is a start. I have some impulsive rage issues. My wife has been working on me for years, and the results are very good compared to what they were a while back. This would be the reason flying is hard for me sometimes. I've put hands on people. Just over a year ago I snatched some Indian guy up by his shirt who cut in line at a baggage counter. Just got off a plane and am awaiting a connection, so I've had enough Jack Daniels to start ranting. I always sit in an aisle seat, so at least I have quick access to choke the life out of any person who decides today is the day for jihad and virgins. But crap guys. What the hell is the deal with people trying to barrel into the aisle as soon as the plane is stopped? We aren't going anywhere until the door opens, and even then, we have to wait for a bunch of people to deplane before the line starts moving. So there I am, sitting in my aisle seat whilst the occupants of the middle and window are acting like there is a place for me to go to in this aisle. It's simple effing math folks. If each row has six seats, and at each row there is only room for two people to occupy the aisle space, how are we to fit all 6 occupants into that space? This happens. Every. Expletiving. Flight. Am I the only one capable of figuring this out?? Life would be easier if I was a effing stupid as everyone else. Then I wouldn't know any better. Instead I have to get into these confrontations in very close quarters with idiots, and I tend to lose my cool, because it doesn't take a 180 IQ to figure this out. Flying internationally tomorrow. Will be in the Atlanta airport for a connection on one of the busiest flying days of the year (this Wednesday). I don't pay much mind to these non-specific warnings. I'm always on watch regardless, and the law of averages is on my side. Just to add, this brings up a good point. I watch those 20/20 specials every so often where you have an innocent person being railroaded, and some of the stories are absolutely horrific. Not saying that is the case here; this guy is likely guilty. But it does happen, and that is why the courts must treat each person with the presumption of innocence. Right, but what I was pointing out was that the belief of police and prosecutors regarding a person's guilt shouldn't have bearing on whether or not that person is granted bond. Innocent until proven guilty actually means something. The guy is probably guilty, and should be raped to death by a herd of rhinos. I can have that opinion, because I'm a person and my opinions will have no bearing on this case. It was a big concern that an influx of unscrupulous breeders would flood the market with Mals, dutchies, GSDs and other working breeds for sale to people who aren't equipped to handle them. I know a lot of Mal rescues have popped up in the past decade, which should be abnormal for a breed that was used almost solely for military/police and a handful of competitive trainers. Some of these breeders are giving these high drive dogs to sedentary people who aren't equipped to handle them, and the result is terrible for the dogs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dutchies are intelligent, high energy and loyal dogs. More active (generally) than GSDs but not as nuts as Mals. Of course, I'm a fan of rescues over buying from dog breeders. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's just a possibility you must accept if you intend on intervening into a situation. It happens. Cops shoot permit holders, cops shoot other cops, and permit holders shoot permit holders. So you can intervene and take that risk or don't. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
