1. Foxes do make a terrible sound, but not quite as terrible as this video. Scandinavians... there's a good chance no one in this video spoke enough English to know what the hell they were singing about.
2. I support this course of action whole heartedly. http://www.theonion.com/articles/poll-majority-of-americans-approve-of-sending-cong,33752/
3.

That second pic is a Gurkha. They are more than just for show. I remember a couple years ago there was one in Afghanistan in a small outpost that was being overrun. He killed some dozen or two dozen Taliban at hand to hand range. The guy looked like a skinny 140 lb weakling. Apparently those guys are incredibly fierce. Glad to have them on our side. As for the Sikhs, well, they helped out Indiana Jones when he was being chased by the Temple of Doom minions. There ya go. Edit: here's the story. He was awarded a gallantry medal from the Queen. At one point he used the machine gun tripod as a weapon. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1393355/Hero-Gurkha-handed-bravery-medal-Queen-said-I-thought-I-going-die--I-tried-kill-I-could.html
4.
So were they aware you had the dog, or was it a case of mistaken identity and you had a different dog? :)
Yep, turns out to be a case of mistaken identity. I wish them the best of luck finding their pet.
5. Yep, we've gone through the same thing. Guy got a deferred sentence, nothing on his record. The law don't care. Right and wrong can be ambiguous on paper. It may be easy to point out what's right or wrong based on sets of rules within our society, but what is truly right or wrong is something experienced in your conscience. I don't care what anyone says, it ain't right to put that dog back where it was and I won't be party to it. He deserves a loving family.
6. That's the tricky part though. If a breathalyzer is a legitimate investigative tool when drunk driving is suspected, how do you force them to blow? What if they refuse?
7. Hate.
8. They don't believe in 72 virgins or anything remotely related to Islam. In fact, most Indians I talk to hate Muslims more than most right wingers. The only thing they have in common is being brown. Of all the people we would want on our side, it would be Sikhs. Those guys are always awesome in every way. They just happen to wear a turban.
9. I would love to do that, but I really can't due to the situation. I will say that he's gotta face that only a mother could love.
10. Well, I let my conscience get the better of me and contacted the owner to investigate further to make sure that there aren't some kind of extenuating circumstances which would explain the totality of evidence leading to a determination of the owner's sh**baggerry. It is confirmed; these people are neglectful and awful people. I don't have time to type it all out, so I'll just say that my suspicion was correct. I can not in good conscience let this dog back into this environment, so the decision is final.
11. They didn't put the ad up until over 24 hours after we rescued the dog. The dog was also taken down to animal control to register it in case someone called. Obviously they didn't contact AC. If we had just dropped it off with AC it would have been put down by now. The level if infestation was such that there is no way it could have happened over the course of a few hours or even days. We're talking thousands of fleas. After a bath and treatment, the fleas still had to be combed out for several hours to get all the dead ones off.
12. I realized at some point that I couldn't bear the thought of life without her. You can't pass that up over silly things like money, freedom, privacy, guy toys, binge drinking and a rotating variety of sexual positions.
13. So here's the question: let's say you find a stray who has no tags, isn't neutered and covered with fleas wandering down a busy road. I realize that dogs get out sometimes, but being flea ridden in a sign of neglect especially nowadays where you can cheaply keep a pet flea free. I could reason excuses for why the animal had no tags, microchip or wasn't neutered, but that amount of flea infestation is friggin abuse. Now lets say after two days of the dog missing you finally see a missing dog ad online describing the dog you found. Should you contact the owner and return it, or try to adopt it out to responsible people? The thing is, we take in strays all the time and always try to find the original owner. Sometimes we do, and sometimes it's clear they don't want to be found, in which case we find another home for it. A few of the dogs we returned to owners were obviously not well taken care of, and the owners turned out to be pretty trashy people. We don't feel good about ourselves returning a pet to that environment. We won't feel good this time either, because I'm certain these people are trash. What would the TGO folks do? This is especially hard since this is such an awesome dog.
14. I can't believe this is still a subject we're talking about. The choice is so darn clear.
15. All the reasons I won't buy an American made car again. I'm tired of the BS guilt trip people lay on folks for not buying American. Eff that. I'll start buying American when Americans stop acting like entitled little brats. My wife's car is nearly 10 grand less than American made autos in its class and has a warranty 3 times the mileage. No one can convince me that unions are better when it is clear they put out a substandard product for far more than non-union competition.
16. You would think union folks would understand what you're saying. Nope, they can't see clearly through their own sense of entitlement, and then blame the company for mismanagement.
17. These words enrage me.
18. It will get them to the unemployment line. Not that these entitled scumbags have a problem with that.
19. Oh I remember all that nonsense. I watched the Pres race through the eyes of foreign news sources, as I was overseas at the time, casting my ballot which would never be opened. I didn't meet a single person in the military that voted for him due to all that BS he was spouting... "Reporting for duty".... what a moron. So glad we didn't get that idiot as pres.
20. He did? Huh, he shoulda mentioned that in his presidential run.
21. I'm with just about everything except for a couple. First, I grew up in and around MADD, as my mom was PR for them for a number of years. They aren't all mad cows. The other is the implied consent. I don't believe that it should be a punishable crime for not consenting, but I do believe it is okay and within the boundaries of the constitution to revoke a person's license if they do not consent to a breathalyzer when suspected of drunk driving. It's an odd thing, since if an officer has PC to believe you're drunk he has the right to search. I believe a breathalyzer is in the same realm as a legal search. Of course, how do you force someone to blow if they don't wanna? Maybe that could be an obstruction charge? I dunno, I'm not a legal expert, but I do think of you have given a cop PC to believe you're drunk driving he is within his authority to demand a breathalyzer. I can't think of a solid argument against that logic, but perhaps you have one? Now, making someone submit to a breathalyzer who is not given PC; as in just for the hell of it... I'm not cool with that at all. That is violating the 4th.
22. I'm not at all a conspiracy theorist, but this wouldn't surprise me. I've suspected from the start that this is a possibility, since rebels have had access to chemical weapons through raids conducted. In the beginning that's how they acquired so many manpads. It ain't too far fetched to figure they may have taken by force or defection chemical weapons. There are many within that organization that would gas the citizenry in order to drag us into it, especially since the people they gassed aren't considered "their people". It's sad that I believe Putin over our own president. These are sad times.
23. 6 days? I thought y'all was 18 hours wheels up.
24. Never mind. You're doing that thing again where you're being impossible.
25. They can strike if they want. Walmart can fire them if they want. No shortage of people who need a paycheck in this country. For some reason all of a sudden Americans are blaming their employers for why they aren't getting paid as much as a skilled trade or educated person while not identifying they are neither. Want to get paid as much as a doctor? Go be a damn doctor. Seesh. What a bunch of ungrateful leeches. I hope they all get fired.
