Yep, genius. I really connected to the music. I once was looking for another who liked the dubstep. I found her. Now she washes my f###ing dishes. Oh, and when I refer to "working it", I'm not referring to a traditional employment situation. Yeah, these guys=genius.

Nice. I intend on doing one of these someday.

Ugh, why is this news?

My wife's soft voice and a glass of Jack Daniel's.

Well I didn't say anything about Russia. They, unlike the Chinese, have something to prove here. I believe Putin will do what he says. I'm not sure why Putin hasn't taken a stronger stance than what he has, since he is under no obligation to play nice and has more reason to interject into the Syria fiasco than we do. Maybe he actually sees this being as dangerous as we know and he knows Obama is out of his depth and dumb enough to do something he can't take back. I don't know, but what I do know is Russia won't walk away from this one. They are, as you said, in a position of strength right now while Obama is in a clear position of weakness. I've been watching the Syria thing for a while and knew it might eventually start biting us, but I didn't see this jackassery coming. I think the next few weeks are going to be something historians look back on for one reason or another. Either we get the catalyst to spring board us into another fight, potentially resulting in armed hostilities between superpowers, or we see an American president bend a knee to the Russians and usher in a new age of weakness. Either way, it ain't good. Damn Obama for putting us in this situation. Damn him straight to hell.

How are Bronies a thing? I still don't understand. I mean, is it like an inside joke that the rest of us don't get?
-
Well, they are somewhat of a superpower. I'm surprised that it took them this long to even acquire an aircraft carrier, and the one they got was broke down USSR junk that they fixed up nice. They're kinda derilect that they're just now getting around to designing and building their own. I'm not too concerned with them taking military action against us; I just think this will be their way of projecting themselves globally and reducing our influence, which it seems they are succeeding at. They don't have anything to gain by picking a fight, but we all have a lot to lose.

This is how capitalism is supposed to work. Good companies recognize the human factor, and will pay more and promote hard work a good work ethics. Those that don't will lose their good work force and not be very successful. Expecting entry level jobs that a 16 year old can do to pay great and have benefits is just rediculous and anyone suggesting otherwise is either stupid, lazy or selfish. Most jobs at Walmart are entry level jobs that a high schooler can do. I know this because I worked at Walmart while in high school and some of college. However, from what I saw they promoted based on merit. Before I quit I was running one of the departments and likely would have been a department manager in short order. I have a friend who also worked with me at Walmart who made it a career and is now an assistant store manager. And as far as retail companies go, I challenge folks to find other retailers that offer as much in starting pay and benefits as Walmart. The problem is, not everyone is a hard worker. I know, shocker. There's nothing wrong with that. Maybe someone is content cleaning the same urinal for the rest of their lives. I'm cool with that. What I'm not cool with is that person demanding crap and saying they're owed more. They ain't owed jack. They can be replaced inside of 10 minutes. When the evil socialists change that dynamic you no longer have the option of firing crappy workers or rewarding good ones. You no longer can provide affordable products and services that are satisfactory. What you end up with is the same cancerous disease that has infected EVERY SINGLE LAST COMPANY THAT HAS A DAMN UNION! For crying out loud! How do folks not see the correlation between unions and failure? It has played out thousands of times. In the end guess who loses their job? Yep, that worker that the union socialists scream and whine about so much. Wake up union drones. You are just a means to power for the union leadership. You are a commodity that is exploited by unions, and when they're done ruining your life, taking away your pension and convincing you that it's all the company's fault, guess where they go next? Yeah, they move on to the next host to suck dry. Walmart is in the breech now. Hopefully they hang on to their sack and shut down these union slime that are behind this movement.

I can't believe that, in America, if your employee doesn't show up to work when they're scheduled you can't fire them. That is some socialist garbage dreamt up by socialist union pigs who crave nothing but power at the expense of business and the worker. If you don't show up to work because you're striking then a company should no longer be required to employ you. Bunch of commie nonsense.

Yes, I do. I'm certain that his actions don't represent the entire department. That's not the point. The point is that somewhere in his career and in his chain of command, this behavior was acceptable; that's the reason he reacted this way. Then the subsequent cover of the department on this guy tells me what I need to know. The department should have immediately distanced themselves from this lunatic, fired him, charged him then looked to settle out of court with the victim. They chose to do the wrong thing. Ask yourself why. When you answer that question then you'll understand why that department deserves to get sued into the stone age.

My med kit is the same size and it has quick clot and two chest seals on top of all the stuff Yeager has in his. Just wanted to talk smack. I actually agree with him despite how much I want not to. I see stuff all the time about not treating people because of the liability you assume when you do. If you aren't trained and feel as if you may do more harm than good, then that is understandable, but the nonsense I hear from folks who say that you shouldn't do it either way because you open yourself up to civil liability is a person without proper priorities. Yes, it could happen. It also might not. I'm doing the right thing for the "might not" people, and if it turns out they want to sue I'll deal with that with a clear conscience.

And I bet all those out of work folks are complaining that it's the company's fault, as if the company exists to serve the entitled masses.
No one "has" to do anyting here and I neve said otherwise. However, if a discussion forum is for discussion then there is a need to do more than just stating opinions at each other or there can be no real discussion about anything; at least not about anything significant. Words, no matter where they are written, even those and perhaps especially those of documents of laws such as the Constitution, are always subject to interpretation and must be so; most especially words like “reasonable†found in the fourth amendment.
Reasonable? That is in regard to suspicion of crime being committed. Being subjected to search by the government for the purpose of criminal investigation when no crime has been committed is not in the same realm as what we're talking about. Otherwise cops could just walls into your house to "make sure" you aren't breaking the law.

I hope he gets boatloads of money and bankrupts this department. This is clearly organizational. I don't see why any department would support this kind of behavior, but the ones that do need to be hit in the wallet so that all suffer from it. This will keep future cops from doing the same or standing by as their partners do similar activities.

No one has to demonstrate squat. The 4th Amendment is pretty clear; so easy a cave man can understand it. It doesn't matter how many times the SCOTUS disagrees. The words are clear.

Poll: Majority Of Americans Approve Of Sending Congress To Syria

It's funny because their opinions would drastically change if it were their asses on the line in a war zone. -
Drunk driving is illegal. When you are observed breaking the law the cops have PC to investigate and search. There doesn't need to be a victim.

Oh, ha. I misunderstood what you were saying.m I thought you were talking about Olberman's girlfriend. I was confused because I thought Olberman was a pillow biter.

Ethical Question: Do you return a mistreated animal to the owner?
TMF replied to TMF's topic in General Chat
Yeah, this was the reason I had to investigate further. I couldn't bear the thought of someone who loved their pet thinking that it had been hit by a car or something, or was slowly dying somewhere. Sometimes things aren't what they seem so I had to look into it with the benefit of the doubt in mind. There's nothing more that I want than to get the dog back with its loved ones. We have returned probably half a dozen pets to their owners over the years and have adopted out twice as many. Unfortunately, in every case that we return the missing dog the people are scummy. We had a couple where the people were straight up rude and didn't even thank us. Good people sometimes have dogs that break out. For the most part it seems though, the dogs we pick up off the street belong to human trash. -
I musta missed a couple of things...

Ha, I think that is pretty much true of all of us. I still can't figure why all chicks aren't lesbians. We're pretty ugly creatures in just about every way.
Good on you TMF!!!
Well my wife is the bleeding heart here, so it is she who I credit with the choice. I'm more or less the action arm of the relationship who effects a decision. I need another dog like a hole in the head but I think I might lose this one with her. The goal is always to rehome the strays we pick up, but this one is really good with the kids and reminds my wife of a dog she had as a kid.
