  1. Heck, when I was younger I risked certain death at the hands of the dad many times as opposed to turning down the opportunity to get it on with his daughter. Surely a video game wouldn't even enter into the realm of things which would keep me from having sex.
  2. Enter the number into www.whocallsme.com That site has been the best resource in immediately determining scams. Chances are you aren't the first one. My wife gets scam calls at least once a month. She doesn't answer the phone if she doesn't recognize the number. We look it up on there and usually it's registered.
  3. The positive thing coming out of this is that the major voices in the online gun community seem to see this for what this is. Only the fringe folks who want a windmill to tilt towards (thanks for that analogy Oh Shoot) aren't going to listen to reason. Luckily they are not present in legitimate gun owner media. Moving forward I think this is a good lesson that the majority of the carry community will learn from, and perhaps use the dummy stick on their buddies who want to show off their piece just to show it off and get a reaction.
  4. Their interns keep tally on support/opposition to policies. At a minimum, at least you're a hard statistic they can reference, or at least know they'll have to answer to. Perhaps writing a 10 page letter is a waste of time, but concisely stating what side of the issue you're on and why will at least get recorded. Think about all the people that contacted their congress critters over this Syria nonsense. If not for the overwhelming "no" from the people, I think these idiots may have gone through with it. Yeah, they said they supported limited action at first, but there was some serious letter writing after that, and in the end they reversed their support for action against Syria. For example, "Dear Congresstard, I disagree with this policy, because it is very, very bad. See attached stupidity matrix. If you ignore my requests I will pull your campaign signs out of the ground everywhere I see them and use them for target stands. Sincerely, Citizen."
  5. When/where is the run?
  6. I've had serious injuries and still didnt turn down sex with my wife. It has never happened. The hell is the matter with you?
  7. That Starbucks is like a beacon of awesome in one of the worst buttholes in the world. But yes, there are armed people in there all the time. No one cares. Context. People don't understand effing context.
  8. You are not even talking about what the rest of the class is talking about. You're attempting to derail the original point by getting into circular arguments about irrelevant nitnoid crap. How about you start at the front of the thread and work your way here. Read one of the half dozen op-ed links posted. You're ranting on about irrelevant nonsense in hopes someone takes the bait so you can distract from the core issue. That core issue is this business wants nothing more than to sell coffee. They do not want to be affiliated with any political movement. Guntards have sought to involve them against their will so now they have asked (nicely) to keep the activism out of their stores. What in the blue f**k does that have to do with George Washington fighting the British?
  9. Okay, perhaps I misunderstood. I agree that it is in the eye of the beholder for the most part. Especially the name "Jesus" since it is a common name in more than just Latin America. We exist inside the bubbles we live in, so I get that names can sound especially odd if you haven't been exposed to other cultures with very different naming conventions. However, I'll agree that we have some awful people who name their kids like they name their dogs, giving them stupid names which are sometimes offensive. I don't know if "Messiah" would even fit into that category, as I've heard some that are so intentionally ridiculous that the parents are obvious turds. I guess intent is really everything when we're discussing names.
  10. They no longer harm us as much as we harm ourselves.
  11. So then maybe I misunderstood you invoking the name of our founding fathers? I'm confused. I've never suggested there be any law against OC, rifle or pistol, so by definition I support a person's right to OC. Of course, we're not talking about gun rights here. This debate has nothing to do with support or opposition to gun rights. So what exactly is your point?
  12. Ugh, they actually got me with the meat thing when I was in NC. It wasn't a bad deal though. I got all the meat, which was fresh and cooked up great. It was all the restaurant meat, the exact kind you get at Chilis or Applebee's, to include those over marinated in the package steaks. When I figured out the price I did get a deal. I just probably didnt need a freezer full of meat. But hey, if I could get beef now for what I paid back then, I'd probably take the gypsies deal again.
  13. So the manager of Starbucks is going to come into your home, quarter his Soldiers there and take your powder? If we're gonna invoke the names of Jefferson and Washington to fit our narrative let me give my interpretation of what they would actually say. No, they would not care about soccer moms, but they sure would care about personal property rights as much as the right to keep and bear arms. If a time comes that our nation is fighting a war on our soil, then yes, I believe soccer moms and baristas wouldn't freak out at seeing firearms. In fact, I've walked into Starbucks in foreign countries carrying a belt fed machine gun and no one batted an eye. However, in the context of every day America, it's quite a different story. If you walk into a Starbucks toting a rifle for the expressed purpose of "making a point" then you deserve to be marginalized. You deserve to be called guntards. You deserve to be shunned by the rest of the gun owning community. Make your political stand against government in the ballot box, letters to representatives in Congress or on the steps of the courthouse. Using a private business as your personal soapbox, and then getting mad when they don't let you shows a self centeredness that is usually reserved for the unwashed occupy-tards. The fact that you and others are so obtuse that you refuse to look up "context" in a dictionary and see how it applies here tells me you don't care about truth. You only care about what you want to believe, and no reasonable facts will cloud your stubbornness. So, by all means be mad and carry on about it while the anti-gunners exploit you and win the debate. Be mad as you continue to marginalize responsible gun owners to those on the fence. Keep it up and some day you may just get that self fulfilling prophecy that you secretly want so bad, despite all your rhetoric to the contrary.
  14. That's what I did in the last election, with the exception of Obama, of course. I know that voting for the opposition won't allow the opposition to win, so some would say that's a wasted vote. To me it isn't wasted to vote for a candidate you know won't win. For me it's about sending a message to the political powers. They have people they pay to find out why folks like me aren't voting for them. When their numbers slip, they'll eventually start to wonder why. It's a theory anyway. Obviously it hasn't come to fruition just yet, but it makes me feel like I'm doing something other than just complaining about the status quo then going along with it out of perceived hopelessness. I'm still convinced that if only 10% of voters committed to ousting any incumbent, we would see a drastic change in Congress. Dems and Reps might actually pull their heads out of each other's butts and start working for us again once they realize they don't stand a chance at a second term. Know your enemy; know his motivations; use that to your advantage and stay inside his decision cycle.
  15. There was an article about this in the Leaf Chronicle about a month ago regarding recycled asphalt scams in the area. Guess it was just the gypsies passing through.
  16. I shudder using that word as it comes from the left, but it seems to fit so well.
  17. According to statistics released in 2013 all those statistics in 2012 were debunked.
  18. I don't think that is a concern at all. There are plenty of other kids with wacky names that "Messiah" is pretty innocuous.
  19. Huh? Poindexter is a last name which dates back hundreds of years, if not more. As for the majority of the other names, they have been common names for centuries as well. I haven't met any hyphenated names like you mentioned; what your suggesting with "Billy-Bob" are folks who likely go by their first and middle name. This is fairly common in the south, so I don't get how that's "stupid". And Bubba? You're gonna be hard pressed to find people with that on their birth certificate. It's a nickname. My daughter calls my son Bubba. Not quite sure what you're arguing here, but you're showing that you don't know much about the point you're trying to make.
  20. Good stuff. Of course, the people who need to read that won't. It's much easier to stick your fingers in your ears and scream "I'M NOT LISTENING!" than to objectively look at your opinion.
  21. If I'm around people; it's a courtesy thing. As well I'll do it even if I'm by myself if I feel it's gonna be rank. I don't need to stink up the place I inhabit.
  22. Sounds to me like one guy chased the other so he defended himself. So this may not be a case of the perfect storm of hot heads. This is the reason I don't believe in pulling over for an aggressive driver. The way people get I'm more concerned with them trying to manifest their rage into violence than in worried they might be pissed at for not going fast enough. I'm not going to stop and give them a chance to box me in or get a better shot at me.
  23. This is one man thing I haven't embraced. I'm not kidding, I walk outside to fart. Perhaps it is from years of being around dudes who are proud to shared their fecal molecules with everyone else in such a close proximity. I'm a combination of traumatized and self aware to the point I won't let one go unless I'm outside and downwind to mitigate the fall out zone. I just don't get it; and I come from a family that has farting contests.
  24. Funny you should say that. My wife loves that place, so I find myself in the drive through every so often. I refuse to properly pronounce their sizes (grande, venti) so I pronounce "grande" as "grand" and call "venti" simply "20". Drives her nuts.
  25. Well whatever you do, don't get it from Starbucks. I heard those guys are going to amend the constitution and nullify the second amendment.
