  1.   Ah I forget.  I'm back in Arkansas.  You aren't missing much believe me.  Their shipping charges have turned me away numerous times.
  2. If you think Midway is bad, don't even visit Natchez.
  3.   +1 for Silencershop.  They are fantastic...great customer service and they email you as the process moves along.  My Form 3 took 5 weeks to clear fwiw.
  4.   What barrel are you going with?   I've thought about a core15.com 9.5" but it has a 1:8 twist.  Should I be concerned about the 1:8 with heavy subsonics?  I typically use the 225gr Hornady in my 16" and it shoots great.
  5. Ok I just left a local pawn shop and they had a used super redhawk. It was in piss poor condition with a missing front sight? Anyway I liked the feel of it and had it been in better condition I may have walked out the door with it. I will keep an eye out for one on GB, etc.   I've almost decided to shy away from the Taurus in favor of a Ruger or S&W if I can find a good deal on a used one.
  6. Thanks for all the comments guys.  I'm really not a fan of the Ruger design but there are some Smith's that I have been looking at.  I just really dont want to spend 1300 on a revolver but I may hold off and try to locate a nice used Smith.  Small cosmetic imperfections don't really bother me.  At this price point I'm not expecting a show peice by any means and I intend for it to see some abuse anyhow.
  7. I'm a semi-auto guy but lately I've had a hankering for a big bore wheel gun.  I've narrowed it down to 44 magnum and have been researching brands/models a bit.  I'm interested in the Taurus 6.5" model and was wondering if any of you have experience with it or Taurus wheel guns in general.  I'm not a fan of their semi-auto offerings but it seems like their revolvers are a good quality for the price point.  I know I could buy much higher quality but....opinions?
  8.   I remember the bucket being in the $60 range.
  9.   With a form4 the dealer should call you when the stamp arrives.  Then you go pick it up after filling out a 4473 like other gun purchases.
  10.   Link works for me.  That is a great price IMO.
  11.   I just had a form 3 come in that I ordered on Jan 9th!!  Took way longer than I expected but it went into problem status which added a week or two.
  12. I like the SIS line.  They are series 70 I believe.  $1100 is a bit steep IMO but they are somewhat difficult to find.
  13.   How long did it take to get your order?  I just ordered 500 of there 147gr 9mm to try out.  Price was right and the shipping was only like $7.   On another note:  I ordered 1k plated bullets from xtreme on 1/30 and still haven't heard from them.  I need bullets!!
  14. Take a look at Dan Wesson.
  15. Thanks for the positive response gentlemen.  To answer a few questions:   Yes, I did this myself.  It is pretty straight forward but you must take care in preparing the material to be sprayed.  I blast everything with aluminum oxide as outlined by cerakote.   Yes, the frame was coated as well.  only difference here is that you blast at a lower psi and heat at a lower temp so as not to distort or melt the plastic.
  16. Unfortunately Im low on everything.  I've learned my lesson from this whole ordeal and I won't ever be caught with my pants down again.  I've been waiting on a bullet order from Xtreme for about 7 weeks now....just so I can load some up and go to an IDPA match.
  17. I love my Kimbers....nice collection.
  18. I've been dabbling in cerakote and this is my latest creation. Color is burnt bronze...a unique color that I've always liked.
  19. Nice rifle, congrats.  What's the word on those E-lander mags?  Ive seen a few floating around and was wondering what the verdict was?
  20. From everything I've read, they are good guns for the money in .45.  I personally owned one in 9mm, but ran into reliability issues and never could get it to run 100%.  I ended up selling it after a while.  Fit and finish are what you would expect in a 1911 at that price point.
  21. I think I want one.  I'm in the market for a pocket 380 and have been looking hard at the LCP until I discovered the Kahr.  I may have to hold off on my purchase until it becomes available and I get a chance to hold one.
  22. Bummer, sold out already
  23. I thought I had seen this discussed before but I can't find it now.  Anyway, I will be sending in a Form 1 to SBR my 9mm AR and need a bit of help filling it out.  In particular, I do not recall what to put in box 4h.  I've read some threads (on other forums) that state you can leave this section blank?  Is this still true?  If not, can I abbreviate my name (applying as an individual)?   Thanks.
  24.   You are correct.  m=1000
