  1. Is there enough room for the suppressor to lock up?  Looks like it will be cutting it close.  Is that an 11" rail?   Nice rig sir.
  2. The XMP is junk anyway.  I already installed a Timney so I won't be sending anything back to Rem.
  3.   How do you like it?  I went with a SWFA 5-20 over the PST because I found a good deal on one.  I love the SWFA, but I'd like to try a PST on my next build.   Nice rifle btw.
  4. Pending July 26, approved March 26 and received stamp today for Form1 SBR.
  5. What optic?
  6. Interested to hear a review of that optic.  I've been considering putting one on my 458 socom.  Let me know what you think of it.
  7.   Excellent advice here, and thats exactly what I do....purchase something every other month or so.  That way something is always in the "pipeline" and I get a new toy every couple months :)
  8. It took me a solid 5 days of trying to actually finally submit a Form 1.  It was a complete PITA for me.  I tried different browsers at different times of the day with no success.  Finally one morning I tried it and it just worked.  It still has quite a few bugs to work out, but I'm hoping for a short wait on this Form 1.

    New .308 MRAD

Sweet looking rig.  Did you have it cerakoted?
  10.   Will it withstand the high temps associated with suppressor use?
  11. I have a tirant45 and can attest to it's incredible performance on both 45 and 9mm.  I would also look strongly at the octane45.  It performs within a dB or two of the tirant with the added bonus of stainless baffles that can be cleaned with an ultrasonic cleaner.   YHM isn't known to be a great performer with regards to pistol cans.  They use an outdated baffle design and do not compete with other manufacturers with regards to dB reduction.  Don't get me wrong, I own 2 YHM rifle cans and enjoy them but you will be better served with the octane or tirant on a pistol.
  12. I'd like some information on this stuff as well.  I'm looking to paint a suppressor and need the high heat resistance characteristic of the air dry.   I've used the oven cure product with great success, so I'm sure the air cure will work as advertised as well.
  13.   Nope, did all the work myself.  It's really not that difficult if you have a grinder, some files, and a tap/die set with 5/8x24 die.  Just take your time with it.
  14. I got one with 16.5" barrel for Christmas.  So far I've installed the following:   SWFA HD 5-20x50 scope with butler creek caps Timney trigger Seekins precision rings/20 moa base Harris bipod Badger Ordnance tactical bolt knob Tac Ops cheek pad YHM suppressor should be here in a few weeks
  15.     Because it's probably for 300blk subsonic??  Just guessing...

    Gen 4 G19 custom

Interesting.  I'm a DIY'er so I may give this a go.  I like the gen4 grip much better than the gen3 (which prompted me to finally buy a Glock) but I would like to take just a little more off the hump.  I'll update when/if I decide to do this.

    Gen 4 G19 custom

Can you provide more detail on the "candle method" grip reduction.  I'm interested in trying this on a G17.
  18.   Battery life of 5-10 minutes...wouldn't get much done in that amount of time but that is one bright light.       http://youtu.be/NiKzrnKR3Ts
  19. I ended up finding a good deal on a like new SWFA SSHD 5-20 that I couldn't pass up.  I should have it next week sometime and hope to shoot it next weekend.  I'll update when I get a chance.
  20. Santa decided I was good this year and brought me a Remington 700 chambered in 308.  Barrel is threaded 16.5" with 1:10 twist and will be wearing a suppressor when I get my stamp.   I'm looking for a decent optic for $1500 or less for ranges up to 600yds.  I want first focal plane with mildot reticle.  I have been looking at the SWFA SS 5-20 for $1300 and the vortex pst 6-24 for $900.   Do any of you have experience with either?  Or can you provide another option I need to look at?  Thanks.
  21.         I've listed my (applicants) employer in that block on all my forms and all have been approved no problem.  So, does it matter what goes in that block?
  22. I mail mine USPS priority so I have a tracking number and know that they received it.  That combined with a check to know when it's cashed is my process.
  23.   They don't give out pending dates anymore so it wouldn't do you much good to call.  They are now quoting 9 months from date received.
  24.   Interesting.  I know a lot of people were trying to hurry and get forms in before the change hoping that they would be grandfathered in.  Apparently the NFA has other plans for current trust forms.
