Stripers and rockfish are one and the same.

Sounds more like a striper than a hybrid.

When I heated with wood the blower on my stove would kick on at a certain temperature. I was always trying to get that blower to cut on faster than before.

Recently bought one from Academy, $250 OTD. It's a great shotgun for the money.

school shooting in Nashville at the Covenant School
10-Ring replied to FUJIMO's topic in General Chat
I would venture that the media would produce a lot of hype concerning the number of rounds of ammunition that most members of this forum own. There is nothing crazy about a recreational shooter having 5,000 rounds of .22 on hand at any given time, but the media would paint a totally different picture. -
That MSRP though...

There is a small number of people that I will not do business with on this forum. The list just grew by one.

I get it, but if the seller is being like that I don't want to deal with them anyway.

I don't NEED to buy or sell anything. I only deal with established TGO members with good feedback ratings. Exceptions can be made if I get a good vibe on someone. I've had exceptionally good luck here.

New house foundation : concrete slab or crawl space ?
10-Ring replied to tercel89's topic in General Chat
I've had both. 100% crawl space. Or preferably as @derf suggested a basement. I don't ever recall having issues with frozen pipes. I had a neighbor on a slab whose septic line collapsed in about near the middle of the house requiring major renovation to repair. After seeing that, replacing a little bit of subfloor seems like child's play. -
Credit card options considering the new merchant code?
10-Ring replied to seez52's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
This would be an excellent opportunity for interested vendors to start accepting cryptocurrency. -
A former co-worker lived by this strategy. He told me that I shouldn't accept a job making more money because people who earned more were more likely to loose their job during tough economic times.

Bump for price reduction. Turkey season is around the corner. FYI will be in Sparta area this weekend if that helps anyone.

Line needs to be purged and/or your thermo coupler isn't getting hot and causing the feed to shut off.

Yet another "where is cheap ammo?" Thread
10-Ring replied to broox's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I buy most everything through ammoseek. Currently 9mm is running about $0.15/round and .223 is running $0.30. Every now and then you find free or very reasonable shipping. -
Bought one of these a few weeks ago. It's my new favorite gun. Wish I had bought it a lot sooner. GLWS!

I've had a tainted opinion of Taurus for a good amount of time. I've never discounted the brand completely, but I came to the conclusion that of 2 guns coming off of the same line, one may be great and they other junk. I was also gifted a Taurus Judge. Well, it ain't no S&W, and being gifted one, is about the only way I would own one. Certainly not a purchase I would make on my own. After several people telling me they liked the TX22, I picked one up. I have a small range in the back yard and spend a good amount of time plinking with .22s. I was impressed with it out of the box and it was consistently getting chosen over my other pistols for range time. I decided to put a reflex sight on it in hopes that my wife and daughter might like it and shoot with me more . Well, that made it even more fun. So I have less than $400, in this one and it's by far one of my favorites. If you are on the fence, go get one of these!

I've been running an Apeman setup I bought from Amazon for about 5 years now. It works great. I think they are about $50.

Not sure what you are trying to do. I needed a hard case so I could fly with a handgun (or at least check it in my luggage). Picked up one of the Apache (Pelican knockoff) boxes from Harbor Freight for less than $15.

I suffer from the same illness. I had a single Remington 870 for over 20 years that handled all shotgun tasks. I began aquiring more shotguns a few years ago and probably have around 10 now. Each kind of fills it's own niche.

Yes, and in that order. I was a small child and an easy pick for bullies. There was a group of guys in our neighborhood that loved to chastise me simply because it was something to do and likely made them feel better about their own pathetic selves. (Most of these guys would later spend time in prison). I wish I had had the confidence to catch one of them out alone and clobber him, but instead I spent several years walking with a big stick or calling friends to come to my house if we wanted to go somewhere else so I didn't have to walk down the street alone. That situation went on until one of them was dealt with. That situation impacted me mentally for many years, even as a grown adult. I was always afraid that someone would give me a hard time for no reason and there was nothing that I could do about it. I also didn't have the confidence to stand up for myself when my employers would tell me to do unreasonable things. It took 15-20 years or so but I got past all of that. I got my confidence back. Now my focus is on making sure that my son has the ability to not let that happen to him.

Made a purchase yesterday and had to resign the 4473 and make sure that my signature was completely legible. I'm no doctor, but I write like one. The clerk said that the ATF had been coming down on them for signatures not being legible.

vintage and collectible guns I'm selling

I refused to sell anything for years. The first 20 years or so of gun ownership it seemed that every firearm I owned had some kind of sentimental connection. Along the way I sold off a few that I didn't have a connection with and later regretted it. Like the AK-47 I sold for $300 around 2007. I'd like to have one again, but can't justify current prices. Or the Marlin 336 in 35 Rem I sold for $400 or so about 5 years ago. I simply didn't have any interest in that gun then, but would use it on the regular now, and once again, the value of the gun has probably doubled since I sold it. Truth be told there is a lot of stuff I own that I haven't shot in a long time, but most has it's niche. I have a few that I just flat out don't use that don't make sense to keep, but as long as I don't need the money they will sit there. No different than stacking silver bullion in the safe. TLDR: I regret some of the things that I've sold so I'm not selling anything that I don't have to.
