Say you have been selling that same pencil for years for $1, all of the sudden the pencil becomes scarce and there are stupid people out there convinced and willing that they should buy all of the pencils that they can get their hands on even if they cost $1 million a piece. Before this panic hit you were getting the pencils wholesale for $0.50 and you were happy selling them for $1. At this point you decide to charge more money for the same product just because you can, yep that's being a d***, not to mention taking advantage of your customers. A good business man will take care of his customers. A business man who doesn't take care of his customers will not be a business man for long. I don't see that anyone is being forced to do anything. And yes it does take two to tango that's why I despise the people that pay inflated prices just as much as much as I despise the ones selling it at inflated prices. For the record I refuse to pay more than $30 per 500 for .22 and I have plenty for me and mine, most of which I have acquired since Newtown. I could normally care less about what stupid people do but when their actions affect what I pay for ammo I start to care.

It's all about ethics. If I chose not to shop somewhere because they are gouging customers it's not because I'm protesting capitalism, it's because I'm protesting that business owner being a d***. He has the right to screw his customers and his customers have the right to shop elsewhere.

I don't believe they charge you until they process the order. At which time you will be asked if you still do want to order. Check with someone who knows this for sure though.

Can the be aimed onto another piece of property? Yes, you are legal to point it wherever you want as long as the camera is physically on your property. There is no expectation of privacy outside of ones residence.

My four year old daughter had cataract surgery on both of her eyes earlier this year and we've noticed vast improvements in her vision. My prediction is that not only will it make your shooting much better but it will greatly improve your quality of life.

Advocare is a company that sells healthcare supplements. It's basically a pyramid scheme. I have several friends that sell the stuff. These people are quickly falling into the category of people who I don't consider to be friends anymore. Seems I'm constantly getting phone calls, e-mails, etc. to give it a try and come sell it. I have one person who I considered a pretty good friend who I now don't even want to be around because he can't manage to have a conversation without talking about it. Ironically I eat mostly organic foods and I'm pretty picky about what I consume, basically if I can't readily pronounce it and know exactly what it is I don't eat it and Advocare products have a lot of those things. Anyone else run into this?

Found this link the other day and enjoyed the magazine. Looks like it's written for game wardens but IMO had quite a bit of interesting material. https://www.dropbox.com/s/pbwz5h2finamc8t/TWOA%20Issue%205%20Feb%202014%20FOR%20WEBSITE.pdf

^^^^ Yeah, is that even considered humane? On a related note it seems that most municipalities want nothing to do with any wildlife problem. Back in my management days I had an employee knock on my office door, I opened up and he handed me a cardboard box and says "I caught this raccoon in the parking lot." Needless to say I wasn't happy about the situation and the main thing running through my head was something along the lines of "I can't wait for this thing to bust out of this box and go ape s*** in my office." The thing was obviously not right as it was being contained by a cardboard box. I first called TWRA, they had no interest in coming to get it. I called the local PD and was told "we don't do animals." I flipped to the government section of the phone book and started calling and talking to anyone that would listen. Eventually someone I talked to got a hold of the sheriffs department for me and they sent someone out to pick it up. Ironically PD dispatch asked me if I had a gun that I could shoot it with, even after I informed them that I worked at a local retail store which was in the middle of town.

There is nothing wrong with thanking someone for a job well done, be it a police officer, a sales clerk, or a street sweeper. When a person who is in a given position expects the rest of the world to bow down and kiss their feet I certainly have no more respect for them regardless of whether or not they have any authority. I've needed and received police assistance before, I was always thankful and let the officers know it, but like I previously mentioned I'm glad to thank anyone who did their job which resulted my benefit. Heck I usually thank the minimum wage employees in the drive through that hand me my food, it's polite.

I've always liked guns but never felt a need to compulsively buy them. Guns themselves may be an addiction, heck I would even call it a lifestyle, but I've always been content with what I had and welcomed a new gun into the fold when the right deal came along. Always wanted a 1911, and I waited for years until a really good deal on a Kimber came my way. Most guns that I have came to me in a similar fashion. At times in life when I had excess money I certainly bought more guns. These days with a 4 year old, a wife in college, and a mortgage the purchase of fun things is but a distant memory and something to aspire to again.

You would be crazy to not spend the extra little bit of money and get a 642. I'm sure every now and then Taurus makes a good gun that works right, I've handled the TCP and I will agree that it is impressive. BUT... how many threads on this board can you find where someone has had an issue with their Taurus? A lot more than you can find where someone has had a problem with their 642.

I have Comcast and I have cable simply because there is no discount for not having cable. That said I watch the majority of TV via streaming. I personally use Chromecast only because I had one given to me. I've used Roku before and I like them. The Chromecast seems finicky in regards to actually working. I had to update the firmware of my router to get it to work, and I usually have to reset the router to get it to work, but not more than once per day. As previously mentioned the Chromecast does not have a remote but must be operated from a computer, smartphone, or tablet. This doesn't seem to be much of an issue as my computer is right next to me when I am watching TV, or you can use a device such as an old smartphone that you no longer otherwise use as a dedicated remote. But for $35 it's hard to beat. I've been a Netflix subscriber for years but they are getting the axe. The last 5 movies I've tried to watch have not been available to stream. Basically they don't have jack for movies. I did just purchase an Amazon Prime membership so I can still steam stuff, even though the Prime selection is lacking as well. At least with Prime I get free 2 day shipping on Amazon purchases (So long as the seller does not opt out) and my wife gets a free rental book on her Kindle each month. EDIT: Chromecast will not work with Amazon Prime, I know that Roku will, I may be picking up a Roku now.

I think we need to get several TGO'ers to contact her with extremely low ball offers all telling her that it isn't worth near what she is asking. Then of course one of us buys it for peanuts and sells it back to Mark.

I drive sober and wear my seatbelt, leaving a 0% chance that I will die in a car crash.

I've had inside jobs, I've had outside jobs. I prefer the outside jobs. Even days like today where it ranged between 27 and 45 degrees with the right equipment it's comfortable, I still hate snow.

I got one when I lived there a few years ago. Eventually if you live there you learn where they all are and as long as you stay on your toes it's not a problem. I didn't have a problem with getting a ticket for breaking the speed limit. What I had a problem with was that there was no avenue in which to contest a ticket. IIRC the fine is $50 and you can not get a trial for an offense of $50 or less. Basically if you felt that you were given a ticket unjustly there was no way to contest it. Personally I'm glad to see the revenue cameras get the axe, if you thought that these had anything to do with safety you are an idiot.

I ride sportbikes, dirtbikes, motards, and touring bikes. I honestly do not carry on the sportbike and motard most of the time due to lack of a place to put the gun. I will not carry on my person while riding these bikes, honestly because I'm often riding aggressively and don't want to fall on the gun if I go down. (I once broke 3 ribs because I had a dip can in my breast pocket when I went down, so I am very wary about keeping anything remotely hard on my person.) I always carry on the touring bike but not necessarily in a location that is easily accessible. I'm not as concerned about being able to rip off a few rounds while I'm moving as I am having a gun if I have to make a stop in a bad area or if I break down and have to hoof it somewhere, or get a ride from an ill intentioned stranger. Your throttle should be able to get you out of any situation that would otherwise require firing, and you will be better off for it. As far as how to carry. My touring suit has a nice external weatherproof breast pocket that fits my Glock 27 nicely. Again I can't really access it with gloves on going down the road but it's there. I have carried OWB when not wearing my touring suit or just running errands on one of the other bikes. Never tried it but I know a couple of guys that use shoulder rigs under leathers. I've also used a IWB clipped inside my Under Armour bottoms with a 642 in it. I know a guy that carries a LCP clipped in a Serpa, I believe, to the top of his motorcycle boot, carries it open but it is very hard to see unless you are looking for it. Again I believe that most of the time that you would need a gun while on a bike would be at a stop or if you had to walk. I stay out of cities for the most part as well though.

Good advice here, I'll offer a bit more. Don't use sleeve anchors. I didn't think anything about it and picked some up the last time I anchored my safe. Once you install them you have to pick the safe straight up o clear them. I only got one in before I realized I screwed up and it wasn't a big deal. Drop in anchors will allow you to simply remove the bolts from the inside of the safe and then move the safe. Just as secure but will make moving much easier if desired in the future.

I enjoy playing poker for .22 ammunition instead of money. Bring a few bricks over and I'll be glad to teach you how to play.

I used to think that I wanted a double stacked Para. Went to a LGS to try one out and the sales man put one in my hand, then put a 1911 in my hand. Never wanted a double stack again. Killer deal here!

I see this a lot as well. What gets me is when they post something to the effect of "If you don't like my price then don't comment" especially when it is something stupid. I'm glad we have so many Facebookphobes on TGO, makes it easier to get the good deals.

I hate it with a passion because I have to work in it. I promise you will never hear me complaining in the summer no matter how hot it gets, but I despise cold weather.

Glad I'm not the only person that feels like they are treated like some kind of off their meds extremist for having this view. Guys like this FUDD are a gun owners worst enemy. Regardless of what this guy thinks he does not represent me, he is not on my side. He's nothing but an anti wearing camo and spouting an anti message.
