Sunday morning bump

I've used citrus cleaner on several stock refinish jobs. Works pretty good, as in usually does about 80% of the work for you. Follow the directions on the bottle, I find it helpful to scrape with a credit card.

I bought this from a member here unfired and have run maybe 2-3 magazines through it at the most, so very little use and like new. Comes with all original equipment, grips, chamber flag, manual, lock, and case from the factory and I do have the box. Includes 3 magazines, this PCC houses 2 mags in the stock. Barrel is threaded. Currently has a Sig Romeo 5 Red dot, which can stay on it, or I can take it off. $775 with sight, $650 without. Not interested in trades, trying to raise money for a specific purchase. I'm in Lebanon.

Nah man, I got really tired of Amber Alerts waking me up between 1-3am because a non-custodial parent had possession of their child in Shelby County.

I have the cheap version of this shotgun with the synthetic stock. Absolutely love it. This is priced to move. I would but it myself had I not made 2 big gun purchases in the past week.

I have a complex way of buying things and to be completely honest country of origin plays little part in it. If it's an item I'm going to use a lot I buy the best. Single use item, the absolute cheapest I can get by with. Something I will likely own for a while, but not use, middle of the road. I'm seeing some items not even be available in a high quality version anymore. I would currently pay 3X what I'm paying for trailer wiring harnesses for a quality 100% copper harness. I can't find them. The ones that claim to be are copper coated nickel, they are unusable after 2 years or so. Good ones aren't available, ultimately because of people like me that were trying to save a buck.

I'm in my early 40s, I didn't make good decisions health wise (or much at all) until the past few years. I was relatively healthy and active and had a few extra pounds but wouldn't consider myself overweight. I started trying to eat better and I do cardio at a minimum 3 hours per week. I figure taking care of myself now will lead to better health should I be lucky enough to get older. I also just all around feel better.

You had to grow up during a very specific time to be faced with this now very obsolete concept. Reaching the nearest pay phone while out and about on your bike when your parents paged you. I had 10 minutes to return the page and knew where every friends house or pay phone was within the area that I roamed about on my bicycle.

I assisted a friend in a dispute with Capitol One. Long story short she paid attorney's fees with the card and after the payment cleared the attorney refused to complete the work for the agreed upon price and refused to issue a refund. Fortunately she had a contact with the attorney which plainly stated that he would perform said work for a "flat fee of x". We still had a lot of trouble getting her money back and when it came down to it, after several calls, she finally spoke with someone at Capitol One who actually had a brain and she got her money back. Point being, if the charge was made on a credit card attempt to get the money back that way. And if the first couple of people that you talk to aren't helpful, keep calling back. If it were me, I would have no issue on a chargeback with the hospital. They will likely not continue to allow the doctor to continue working there if that happens repeatedly. Also, I would promptly contact the hospital administration. I suspect that they will advocate on your son's behalf as they would not want to have a part in a sloppy medical practice.

Why is this still here?

I had wanted a 457 in 22LR for years. I bought one and shortly thereafter a 457 in 22WMR popped up here so I bought that one too. I use it for killing raccoons in the backyard and also "squirrel hunt" with it when I may have the opportunity to see pigs while "squirrel hunting". I have no regrets, the 457 is a fine rifle.

A have a couple of Baofengs. Baofeng is the way to go if you don't have a radio and want to get your feet wet. You can get into a nice Baofeng setup for well under $50. I have had zero issues out of mine. It is my understanding you can use them in certain frequencies such as VHF (156 MHz specifically) without a license. These are the frequencies that are available on a VHF handheld. We use VHF to communicate when hunting pigs/bears in mountainous areas with no cell signal. It's not uncommon to have 10 plus people in our hunting party spread out miles apart. Everyone else in the group uses a VHF handheld, I had to be cheap/different and went with the Baofeng. Recently I had to get into a rough area to get a pig, the guys were impressed that I was able to get out at all and said that the Baofeng sounded good down there. I also use it to monitor our local county emergency management frequency.

I'm a self proclaimed connoisseur of good socks. I wore Smartwool for years until it seemed that they were not nearly as durable as they used to be. They began to wear out quickly. I switched to Vermont. Darn Tough about 5 years ago, I probably have 20 pairs or more now but I'm still wearing the first pair that I bought. They are comfortable and do a great job wicking moisture away from your skin. They are also lifetime guaranteed. I haven't found a sock that I like better.

My mig welder bit the dust in the midst of a recent project. I had been wanting a small 110v flux core welder for the purpose of trail repairs for my side by side. Something that I could run off of a small generator and it not take up much space. I picked up the Titanium 125 amp flux core welder from Harbor Freight. I just checked and it's currently on sale for $140. I'm extremely happy with it and feel that I got my monies worth even at the regular price.

Guns are permitted in Bass Pro, but not the mall. That's why the signs are posted at the mall entrance. It's been that way for years.

I have a mid 1960s manufactured A5 12 ga. I inherited it and love the gun, but don't shoot it well due to fitment issues, most noticeably the LOP being too long for me. I have plans to eventually shorten the LOP, and refinish the wood. Where can I find the procedure for correctly setting the friction rings? I'm in no hurry, I bought a fine modern shotgun that I haven't worn the new off of yet, but would love to get this Browning back to her former glory and show her off in the dove field.

Country music is far from dead, the good stuff just isn't played on the radio, and save for maybe Chris Stapleton and Jamie Johnson I don't want to hear anything on "Country" radio. There is a boatload of great independent artists just like this one, but you have to seek them out. They refuse to play the Music Row game so the big labels won't sign them. Yes, they are harder to learn about, but you hear their music and not the "country radio" BS.

I think that the original post was a loaded question derived of cherry picked data to encourage fear mongering, though I don't believe that was the OP's intent. It's a very subjective question that could have a variety of different answers depending on the calibers compared. This question was undoubtedly tailored to misinform.

Probably a long shot, but only interested in trades at this time. Dan Wesson .357 6" barrel. Very clean, and very well maintained. It is an absolute pleasure to shoot. I really hate to let it go but after carrying it while pig hunting I've decided that I really want a 4" barrel. I know they made a 4" barrel for these, but they are hard to find and stupid expensive when they are available. Looking for a S&W, or Dan Wesson in .357 or larger. Sorry, not interested in Ruger, or Taurus, I'm sure some of them are fine, I just don't care for them personally. Needs to be somewhat close to, if not an even trade. Any desired pics available on request. I'm in Lebanon, TN, I go East a little bit, I don't go west hardly at all.

Mine isn't capable of "minute of pig" accuracy at 25 yards. Can't remember how long the barrel is and I'm at work right now. All and all I find this firearm to be an outright piece of junk. It's good for shooting rats with .410 at <5 feet, but is otherwise useless in my experience.

For at least the 3rd year in a row I was the first to display my Christmas avatar, but to be fair I changed it then and have chosen to celebrate the holiday season year round since.
