No, this should be a penned thread.

Smoked some chicken wings yesterday, seasoned with Louisiana seafood boil seasoning and butter. They were great. Also smoked some cream cheese. Wife took it to work and none came home .

Cleaning up the garage today and this thing is still in my way. $150 cash. Or $200 trade value on ammo or??? Make me an offer, I need this thing out of the way more than I need the money.

I lived close to Fontana for several years. Never fished it. Pretty lake. The dam and spillways are an engineering marvel. I know a lot of people from East Tennessee would make the trip over to Fontana to fish. There are also several other worthy lakes downstream from Fontana. I always wanted to fish Calderwood, if for no other reason than the solitude, I've heard it's difficult to fish because it gets deep quickly and there is supposedly a lack of structure. I've also heard of giant lake trout coming out of there. If you are making the trip might as well hit up Fontana and Calderwood.

Shelby County Shootout Leaves Homeowner in Jail

Great example of why the only words that should come out of your mouth if you find yourself in this situation are "I want to speak with my lawyer" -
Got hit for 4 separate transactions totaling $375 a few weeks ago. They were sports bets. The barn made everything as easy as possible but there is still the hassle of changing everything that I had on draft.

I have to ask what a golf ball shoot is. Googled it and I'm not coming up with much. Sounds like something that is needed on my backyard range though. -
I've gotten some of mine in. I'm out of town right now, but placed several seeds in wet paper towels and put them in a box by a window before I left. Will check them when I get back and start planting what is ready. I'm only showing a low of 41 in Lebanon tomorrow night. Hopefully my tomatoes will be okay.

I came here to argue with you that starlings fall under "open year around, no limit" like most other pests, but apparently TWRA has removed them from that category and like you said, there is no open season on them.
-
You will not find any case law in Tennessee pertaining to hunting within city limits, because there is none. Seasons are set by the TWRA, a state agency. The TWRA does not limit hunting to specific areas. Several cities ban hunting within city limits, but their rules are not enforcable so long as you are not in violation of TWRA rules. All that said, shooting starlings one at a time is like pissing in the wind.

Not worried about it. I'll own a semi automatic for the rest of my life.

wanted Semi-auto 12ga for casual sporting clays
10-Ring replied to Fencersms's topic in Firearms Classifieds
It's fun and well crafted for what it is. I'd always wanted an O/U and happened upon this one for a good price. I wouldn't say it's comparable to a $2k+ O/U but it's nice for what it is and would be ideal for someone shooting clay strictly recreationally. The absolute best advice I can give concerning shotguns though is to fit your shotgun to yourself. Anyone will shoot better with a $200 shotgun fitted to them than a $5000 shotgun that isn't. -

So many options at so many price points. Couple of suggestions Yildiz O/U $500ish from Academy. Franchi Affinity ~$900. I own both. Bought the Franchi when I went to buy a Benelli Super Black Eagle. The Franchi was half the price and after spending 30 minutes handling both, I couldn't justify the Benelli. I've shot the Franchi side by side with Benelli and they are on the same level. One of my Benelli owning buddy's even wanted to trade me. -
I've owned several brands of ATVs. I currently own a Polaris RZR and it will be the last Polaris I ever own. It always needs something despite rigorous maintenance and easy use. Everything on a Polaris is hard to get to. I've talked to owners of just about everything and done mountains of research. A Honda Pioneer will be my next ride. I'd stay far away from CFmoto and anything else Chinese as well.

As the title states. Looking in middle Tennessee. Closer to Lebanon the better. I also get towards Sparta often and I'm making a trip to Atlanta next week, so anything along 24 down to Chattanooga would be good. Just thought I'd see if anyone had one they wanted to get rid of before I go buy one new.

I use a penetrating oil like PB blaster to clean up stuff like that, it really cuts the grime. Clean up any rust with steel wool.

Wives, Daughters, Girlfriends Should Always Carry
10-Ring replied to AuEagle's topic in General Chat
The sentiment that everyone needs to carry is great and all, but the fact is that some people are more likely to harm themselves or others before they use a gun to defend themselves. A certain female in my life no longer carries after her lost gun was found loose in a purse, no holster, loose with several pens rolling around. Said she had too much going on to be concerned about keeping up with a gun. Come to think of it I can't count on both hands the people I know who don't have any business carrying a gun. -
I may get whipped for saying this, but I think Henry is one of the most over rated brands out there. Everyone I've handled felt cheap to me and was a substitute for something better. That said, I carried a hunting buddy's Henry in 44 mag, and my Marlin 45-70 guide gun out of a hollow at the same time. (He said if I carried his gun, he would drag out the pig we shot, sounded like a deal to me.) The Henry was much lighter than my Marlin.

I'd be a buyer in the $400 range if it was a good shooter. It's ugly, and over priced. In that price range I'm going to be buying a Smith.

I worked in retail loss prevention for over 5 years. I absolutely did some dumb things in that time. Some corporation's belongings that they will write off if stolen are not worth your own legal problems. The details from the article are lacking, but I this very well may have been a bad shoot. https://www.wsmv.com/2023/04/13/police-investigating-self-defense-claim-shooting-pregnant-alleged-shoplifter/
