I don't know if I've ever been great at anything but I'm pretty sure that I will excel at retirement.  I'm very determined to do well at it and I'm working as hard as I can now so that I can start kicking butt at being retired as soon as I can.

My dad just built one with the mag block but he hasn't gotten to shoot it yet.  If no one else pipes in I'll report back when I have something useful.  He usually goes to the range on Fridays so I should have something for you by the end of the week, that is unless it's too hot, too cold, too windy, too cloudy or too sunny, these retired folks can get finicky.

The fact that an employee of the sheriff's department had that kind of extra cash laying around is enough to raise an eyebrow at.  Maybe he just has really good money management skills.

My wife is the poster girl of bad carrying practice.  Most of the time I can find her pistol under her drivers seat, sometimes it's in a holster.  Often times it is unloaded and sometimes it contains a partial magazine.  I'm still trying to figure out how this happens.  I bought her a nice holster but to my knowledge she has never used it other than to protect her gun from the crumbs and lint that accumulate under the seat of her car.  The gun has never been cleaned because she lost the key required to break it down long ago.  Honestly I can not imagine a single scenario where the gun would ever be useful to her, especially since she never knows if it's loaded, chambered, etc.  I lecture until she tells me to shut my mouth, I just hope that she wakes up before something happens where she actually needs it.    For me I usually just stick it either in the door pocket, sometimes I stick it in between the seat and the console, sometimes laying in the storage compartment in front of the console and last but not least if nothing else there is always a gun in my console.  These may not be the best practices and your results may vary but it's worked okay for me.  Seriously the key is accessibility without scaring any LEOs that may pull you over.

1) The report states both that he was shot and shot at, though it sounds like he was not actually hit. Why is it so difficult for the media to report anything accurately? 2) How does a single person find themself in trouble as much as old George does?

Living in Mt. Juliet off and on my entire life I can't say that I've ever really felt that I was in any danger anywhere here. Times are quickly changing around here though.

Encountered tons of those when I lived in Blount County, found a nest of them in a hollow tree once. Never was stung by one but never taunted them either.

Also no permit needed to car carry.

On one hand I feel that any conversation on my phone is between me and the person who I am talking to and is no one else's business.  On the other hand I think it would be funny if someone tapped my phone they sure wold waste a lot of time for absolutely nothing of interest. 

  Killing snakes is so ignorant.  I work with a guy that kills every snake and every hawk he sees because he's afraid they are going to kill his precious chickens.  I would love to see him get caught especially for the hawks.  How many chicken eggs does one have to sale to cover those legal fees?

You got ripped off, pretty sure that gun was part of the Hi Point open carry kit which contained the pistol, a nylon holster, and a concealed carry permit holder badge. It was a limited production thing, if only you had the badge the value would be about triple.
