  1. I keep a Stevens .223 bolt action handy and find it to be very useful. Great all around rifle that will handle everything from squirrels to deer. Mine doesn't have a can unfortunately.
  2. It's way down on my list but a great option if you have plenty of other supplies and can afford it.
  3. #10 may be off of Hwy 68 headed east out of Tellico Plains. Looks familiar but I'm not positive. Also reminds me of something I've seen around Hwy 315 around Reliance.
  4. #5 is between Gainsboro and Chestnut Mound on highway 53.
  5. I doubt an electric fence will help with squirrels, I'd just shoot them out.
  6. I've had very good luck with it. I think you must of gotten a hold of a bad lot.
  7. At that range I'd take a shot with a .22.
  8. I will refuse to accept this "currency."
  9. And people think I'm crazy for wanting to build a wall around Tennessee.
  10. I make all reasonable efforts to recover lost game.  I would not count wounded game towards my limit but that's just me.  Not that I'm trying to take more than my share but the biologists take these things into account.  If you run into these issues very often you may need to reevaluate some things.  As far as a foul hooked undersized fish?  I'm probably going to go with what I think is ethical, I hate to see game go to waste.
  11. I will be there, possibly a few minutes late if traffic is bad.
  12. I really wish as a society we would bring back dueling. There would be a lot less butt hurt people walking around.
  13. Good to know I was wondering if there was something special about them.  I'm fairly knowledgeable on Mosins, I had heard of the M39 but did not know that they were "special," not to that extent anyway.
  14. $450 for a damaged Mosin?  I'm just not that big of a fan.  There are a boat load of better guns out there for that kind of money.  They were cool when they were $70 and a spam can with 440 rounds was $80.  Those days are gone.  Mosins are the bottom of the barrel and crude, I'f I'm going to pay what it costs to shoot them I'm going to shoot something that I enjoy more.
  15. Just started a new job downtown.  Went to scout out some areas near my office to see if I could access the river to fish during my lunch hour.  I think it's doable!  Don't even care much if I don't catch anything but it would be nice to wet a line in the middle of the work day.  I'm in Metro Center if anyone is close by and cares to join.
  16. The more I've thought about it... op, please find the time to get your permit and familiarize yourself with the law, or don't carry at all, or as a third option have the time and money to defend yourself in court and make a good test case for gun owners. I hate to sound harsh but sometimes we (gun owners) are our own worst enemy, I just can't in good faith tell someone who has not familiarized themself with the state laws to try to skirt the law and knowingly enter a legal gray area.
  17. This might be one of the best pieces of gun misinformation that I have ever heard. Where do people come up with this stuff?
  18. I saw them when I lived in Blount County. I've seen them in DeKalb County as well and been told that they are common out in the Cedar Glades in Wilson County but haven't seen them there myself.
  19. As hard as 22 mag is to find I'd have no interest just based on that.  Much more interested in a .22 TCM that at least has the ability to be reloaded.  Plus it's a way better round IMO.
  20. I case people bring weapons into the sanctuary to try to harm you, duh!  Mine was on me this morning in church.  Never go to church without it.
  21. Take it to a local dealer for cleaning.  Ask if he can pick it up when he returns from deployment.
  22. They are not the best looking tires, nor are they the cheapest but for function I can't say enough good things about Michelin M/S 2's. Though not aggressive looking they do great in mud and snow. Plus they are quiet, ride smoothly and quietly, and they will give 80,000-90,000 miles if cared for properly. I have them on my Tundra now and had the E load range tires on my F250 service truck. Very pleased with both sets.
