Your going to have this type of thing when the fairgrounds are within walking distance of public housing.

Looks like someone may have not paid any attention to the sign. https://fox17.com/news/local/yells-of-shots-fired-sparks-panic-at-wilson-county-fair-several-detained-after-fights

After I killed my first pig I pretty much lost all interest in hunting anything else.
-
I didn't think that it was bad at all running light birdshot. I ran some hotter OO through it and it was noticeably more, but still manageable.

I had one gifted to me. It's probably not something that I would have ever purchased for myself. It took a little getting used to but I really like it. Hard to beat for a house gun imo. Also it's the first Mossberg I've ever owned. I've always been a Remington guy. The location of the Mossberg safety seems more ergonomicly friendly.

A couple of buddy's and myself were able to get on a land owner exemption list and are doing some pig hunting. I took the first one the other night. We are hunting over a feeder that is on a timer and the pigs seem to be all trained up. I spent a bunch of years hunting pigs unsuccessfully but I believe I've finally figured out enough to have some success within the past couple of years. I certainly don't mind to discuss strategy and tactics, but I will not discuss where I am hunting. This one was a smaller 40ish pounder that came in with 6 others. My buddy and I agreed to shoot on 3, he counted and forgot to shoot, and I took home the bacon. He was still nice enough to help me dress it and it was on ice in less than an hour after shooting. One thing for sure is that the rest of them don't stick around. I swear they were fine before the bullet hit this one. http://imgur.com/gallery/uDv3d45 For some reason I am unable to embed the picture.

Dampened the wood and set it in the sun for a few hours. Everything went back together nicely.

Nothing like being able to step it your backdoor and shoot. That being said, I don't shoot nearly as much as I should.

What Caliber for Skunk and Where To Hit It?
10-Ring replied to ShaggyRS6's topic in Hunting and Fishing
If you like the smell of skunks, I've noticed that Ascend Amphitheatre is absolutely eaten to with them during any concert there. -
I've noticed that my 870 gets extremely hard to cycle, as in I have to beat the butt on the ground, when it gets filthy. That's how I know when to clean it. Honestly, I don't clean anything but black powder guns as long as they are working correctly.

What Caliber for Skunk and Where To Hit It?
10-Ring replied to ShaggyRS6's topic in Hunting and Fishing
One of my dogs got sprayed towards the end of April. That part of the yard stank for weeks, I got a whiff the other day actually. I didn't get the worst of it though, two of my friends were parked in the area with their windows down. -
Thanks, it is an immobilizer key. I called Ron Hibbard Toyota today, they quoted me $364 out the door for a new key and programming. And they have to have the car there to do it. Half of that was for the key itself. Keys are available on eBay for less than $10. I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if they will cut the eBay key. I'll probably just trailer it there if they will.

Haha, thanks, I'm a pro at losing, and usually finding stuff. On the day in question I got home from work and changed clothes and vehicles, then set out to cut a couple of yards, because I do that as a side business. I went to the gas station, cut two yards and went home. It was upon returning home that I realized the key was missing, as it has my house key on it as well. I checked at the gas station, walked both yards thoroughly, and turned my truck inside out looking for it. Pretty certain they slid out of my pocket while I was in the mower and fell into the grass somewhere.

The way I understand it the computer in the car has to be programmed. So I would have to have it towed to the dealership. Of course if I can disengage the trans I could probably get it on a trailer and take it myself. For what I would save by doing (probably not much) that I just assume have someone come out and do it.

I've lost my only key to my 2011 Toyota Corolla. I've given it a month to show back up without any luck. It's time to go ahead and bite the bullet (see this thread is gun related!) and have one made. It's a chip key so it will have to be programmed. Any of you guys locksmiths by chance? If so, I'd prefer to give you my money instead of some random person. PM me if interested, at this point I'm in no hurry so you can do it at your leisure. I'm, in Lebanon.

I worked with a guy in college who had racked up several DUIs, so someone would usually take him home after work. I'm taking him home one night and he asks if we can stop by his friend's place so he can pick something up. As we get close he tells me not to go down the driveway, just wait in the street and he'll be right back. Sure enough, a couple of minutes later he comes running back with an arm load of beer that he "rescued" from a car port fridge. I have no idea if he even knew the people. I tried not to give him rides after that.

What you are talking about here is the differences in a static (doesn't move) and dynamic load (moves). If the aquarium causes failure it very likely won't be instantaneous, it will be over a long period of time. Most likely the floor will hold the load for a year, or two, or five before it starts getting difficult to open and close windows and doors.

Only thing I have to add to that. Anytime that you buy a gun from an individual without going through an FFL you run the risk of buying a stolen gun. I have had an LEO run the serial number on my gun during a traffic stop to ensure that it was not stolen. Whether or not that is okay is a whole other topic. Just to be clear that has nothing to do with registration. All firearms that are reported stolen are entered into a database.
-
No. There is no registration in Tennessee.

I wouldn't do it without being able to determine what kind of shape and arrangement your joists are in. You are on the fringe of a safe weight. Also consider that when you determine the total weight it won't be as much as you think, if it's a 60 gallon tank you will not be putting 60 gallons of water in it. You want to subtract the water weight from area consumed by your rock and whatnot. The fact that you are placing it in a corner with both walls being load bearing helps, but if it's a long run on those joists I wouldn't do it. Figure out the dimensions of the upper level of your house, your joists will almost always run the shorter of those two numbers. What's the floor covering in the area? Can you remove a bit of it to look at the subfloor? You should be able to see nails in the subfloor where it is attached to the joists.
-
There are a ton of things to take into consideration. General rule of thumb is that you don't need to do anything structurally up to 55 gallons. It's all relative though. What kind of shape is the house in structurally? How long do the joists run? (The longer they are, the more deflection they will have) Assuming that your joists are on 16" centers I would figure out where they are and certainly center the aquarium over two of them. Actually, as a guy who has had many aquariums, I would find a nice video of an aquarium, stick a nice TV in that corner, and loop the video.

I had been working with fiberglass resin when I posted, thanks for helping me through that.

I'm sure there is a reason, but why only post pictures of his tattoos and no mugshot.?

Law abiding gun owners are being set up for failure. Someone who is attempting to lawfully carry needs to go somewhere that is posted they go put their gun in their vehicle, and lock the vehicle. Vehicle gets broken into and the gun is stolen. Suspect makes please deal and states that the car was unlocked. Like it or not these businesses that are posting are setting the wheels in motion for guns to get stolen. I'm certainly not saying they are responsible for the actions of others, but they create the potential for a gun to be left in a car when it otherwise would be on the person. [AND MY OWN RANT] How many people are leaving guns in unlocked cars that have gun related stickers on them? I just don't understand putting a gun related sticker on a vehicle. It screams "There is probably a gun in here, come take it!" And if there isn't, well, you just got your windows smashed so that the potential thief could find out.
