Not at the moment. I haven't been since yesterday. Which is longer than I like between trips.

Made up some gar lures. 1/4 oz jig head, section of 3/16" nylon rope. I'll give it a go this afternoon and see how it does.

Of all things a Crappie Magnet. Started with a trout magnet on 2 lb line and had one on for about 5 minutes on my first cast. Probably lost 2 dozen. I've never seen anything like it, they were everywhere. I don't know that I've ever caught one on rod and reel before. Seems like they are very difficult to get a good hook on.

Caught a couple gar this morning, going to give this a go, how do you cook them?

The state of Tennessee has a ton of listings, I've never seen a middle manager do less.

I work from home or in the field 80% of the time. Pre covid it was more like 50% of the time. I have an office in Nashville that this pandemic has shown to be unnecessary. However, the powers that be like us to show up for posterity. Quality of life is much better when I'm working from home. I save roughly an hour and a half per day traveling to and from when I go to the office. I also really like being able to get out of bed 10 minutes before I sign on. I'd have to turn down the $30k simply due to having to go to the office daily would make my job unbearable.

Restrict NEW members from sending private messages?
10-Ring replied to TGO David's topic in Feedback and Support
Very reasonable. Although I bought my lifetime benefactor membership a while back, it wasn't all that long ago that I just couldn't afford a yearly membership. Consequently, I also wasnt buying many guns in those days. Even though the state of my finances left much to be desired, I'd at least like to think I contributed to the forum through my posts, probably not so than I currently do. -
I've had several cheap ones and no expensive ones. The cheap ones have worked fine for me. I've had 5,7,8, and 12 foot nets. The smaller ones are much easier to throw for me. Interesting things I've caught - 4 pound largemouth - about 20 tilapia in a single cast at GSP. - about 10 white bass in a cast. Honestly, if I'm on bait, I have as much fun with a cast net as I do catching big fish.

New Federal Punch .22LR Defensive Ammo.

Great example of why it wouldn't be my first choice, but I welcome it as an option. -
Gender reveals are getting a little silly.....
10-Ring replied to Handsome Rob's topic in General Chat
I didn't realize so many people here got their feelings hurt by shooting guns and blowing stuff up. Nothing is wrong with doing whatever kind of gender reveal that you want, if you are expecting a child and think that gender reveals are stupid, then don't do one. The problem lies in the people who don't understand how to properly handle tannerite, the rest of the tannerite related gender reveals don't make the news. -
Couldn't agree more, especially with a family heirloom.

I guess I'll put up with a lot of crap from Academy. Not that there has been any ammo on the shelf in the past year, but before ammo got scarce this time Academy was the only place around that kept ammo at a decent price. (Especially since Walmart decided to pick and choose what calibers they are going to carry) Honestly, if they want to have some asinine rule that says that I have to show ID to buy fishing bobbers, I'll probably just do it and go about my day, I have bigger things to worry about.

Where do these fall value wise with a comparable blued model?

I've lived in 3 houses that were on well. 2 of them were great, the third one had a very high sulphur content and required extensive filtration. That filtration system was finicky and always needed something and the water so wasn't very good. The neighbors well wasn't 200 yards from ours and had really good water straight out of the ground. When it works, it's great. I had good quality water and didn't have a monthly water bill.

A business went under and people lost their jobs because of this bogus ban. And don't forget, it was Trump's doing.

I'll just say this. I got an 870 12 gauge when I was 12 years old. It has been my go to shotgun up until I came across a nice Browning a few months ago. I've beat the crap out of it, run slugs, buckshot, and quite a few 3" turkey loads. The gun has been great. It does get difficult to cycle when it goes a few years between cleanings. I turn 39 this year. All of that said, I was gifted a Mossberg Shockwave and I believe I prefer the location of everything on the Mossbergs over the layout of the Remington. I would gladly own either, and do.

I've been working from home for the past year, it's more like going to work in pajamas, waking up 10 minutes before I clock in, and sitting on the couch with a lap top. I'll quit if we go back to "normal".

Sand is good, but you want to make sure that you are using construction sand and not all purpose or playground sand. The later just gets nasty and can't be cleaned.

This. Those back country bears don't want anything more than to get as far away from you as possible. But those Cades Cove bears, and any bears that hang out around civilization are the ones that will destroy your car, your camp, and maybe you.

If you are able, having a pond with a pump in it to move the water around is one of the best improvements you can have with chickens. Never did freeze over this winter. I haven't hauled water since I moved here. The ducks like it too.

I use an Apeman dashcam, they are available on Amazon for less than $40. I've never had an incident, but a good friend of mine is a local truck driver owner/operator. His dashcam has saved him multiple times when people have clipped him while cutting in front of him and another guy who hydroplaned into him. The guy is a s*** magnet because even though he drives a lot of miles, he finds himself in precarious situations on the regular. The camera doesn't lie, though and has made the other person's story invalid multiple times now. Also, he recently had an altercation with a transient at a truck stop while he was walking back to his truck. Had the situation been escalated he would have had a recording of the entire thing as it went down right in front of his truck as the camera was rolling. The guy is seriously a feces attractor, lol.

I have a Heritage with the swappable cylinders. It's a good work gun that you don't have to worry about getting dinged up. I find that it lacks on accuracy next to my nicer .22s. I usually keep mine loaded with the WMRs. I believe that it was someone here that once said "a Heritage will last you the rest of your life, but you can hand the Ruger down to your kids."

I could probably tell you about anything you want to know. I currently have barred rocks and some sex links. Both are good birds if you are wanting layers. You could also raise your own sex links if you get BR hens and a Rhode Island Red rooster, that would be a black sex link. Their offspring hens would have solid black heads, while the cockerels are born with white dots on their heads. Sex links do not breed true because they are hybrids, so if you are interested in sustaining your flock that isn't the way to do it. I'm not a fan of commercial hatcheries. I try to buy from local breeders. Anything bought commercially (TSC and others) was hatched and shipped and spent it's first couple of days in a box. I had rather my stock come from somewhere where the were hatched and placed into a brooder for those first couple of crucial days. I've been feeding Amish sourced feed supplemented with catfish food pellets (32% protein) with good results. I could write all day, if you have specific questions I'm happy to answer.
