1.
Yeah.. NO thanks I think they look stupid. Why does everything get labeled Redneck? stupid... Now a just plain gold band with the Ruger eagle engraved into it would look good.. But thats just me
I agree, if a subject is remotely related to anything that someone would do outside without requiring a ball the term "redneck" gets slapped on it. It's getting old.
2. For your purposes I think I would go with a heavy carbon arrow. Might not be quite as fast as a smaller carbon but would be a durable arrow that would be resistant to getting bent/ shattered. If you aren't familiar with carbon arrows about the only way you can hurt them is to shatter them. The only one I ever shattered I shot into a concrete wall.
3. I waited around all day long for a guy to look at a jeep I was selling yesterday. Seems to happen more often than not when CL is involved.
4. I'll play. I'll keep in theme with a recent popular topic. You either love my deep fried turkey or you haven't tried it yet. One turkey 16 pounds is ideal. One pint of creole butter and an injector Tony Chacheree's (SP) seasoning 3-4 gallons of peanut oil Make sure you give the turkey plenty of time to thaw. After it is thawed put the turkey in your stock pot and add water until the turkey is completely covered. Remove turkey and mark the water level with a sharpie or grease pencil. Empty the water and replace with peanut oil. Go ahead and fire up your burners it will take a good hour or so to get the oil up to cooking temp. In the meantime inject the turkey with the creole butter and pat all surfaces with Tony Chacheree's. When you think that you have used enough creole butter use a little more. Once the oil is up to about 400 degrees gently lower the turkey in and watch your thermometer closely you want to keep the oil temp as close to 350 as possible. Cook 3 1/2 minutes per pound of bird. After everyone is done telling you how awesome the turkey is hand them a bottle of Dawn and ask them to clean up your giant mess.
5. Man that thing is so big that its rack wouldn't even fit in one picture!
6. Mothballs work great too, or what if a few pieces of plywood fell off of your truck where they are crossing. I would hate to have to explain to a property owner why my truck has 4 flat tires on his property. Other than that I like the way Flatwoods is thinking. For a more highroad approach maybe call the sheriff or game warden after you see them drive in.
7.
I have no sympathy for the guy. He committed a crime and became a convicted felon. Then he committed another crime and is now going back to jail. Looks like he didn't learn the first time.
I have a hard time agreeing with this statement. It as if you are stating that we should accept and abide by whatever laws the government puts on us without questioning anything. That could get to be a dangerous proposition.
8. My wife and I were both carrying on our first date unbeknownst to one another. It wasn't a big deal for me, if I was going to date someone and she was that adamantly opposed to firearms I wouldn't want to date her anyway.

got laid off

Sorry to hear, you are the third person that I've heard about getting laid off this morning.
10. We tried them this year, maybe we did it wrong but I didn't care for them at all. They were very hard to chew.
11.
I'm pretty sure he wasn't homeless. Looked far too well groomed. Guess he was just in a big hurry. Probably could have walked faster if he had pulled his pants up, though!
Can't tell you the last time I saw someone with their pants on the ground and a straight billed cap that looked anything like they were in a hurry. Must be nice to not have to be anywhere at any certain time.
12. As long as I'm in the back country away from the tourists I OC. It's the people that refuse to be more than 100 yards away from pavement that you have to worry about causing a stink.
13. My place of voting was not posted but it is a very rural community center. I could have likely OCed and an eye would not have been blinked. I went with my wife to vote (We just got married and have not yet combined households) and we were having a conversation to which we could not agree on an answer. I did a little fishing here today but could not find an answer. Say she is going to vote and she leaves her weapon locked in her car, is that legal since the car is parked on school grounds?
14. A few years ago I deep fried a turkey and brought it to Christmas dinner, I'm now required to do this. Outdoor and propane is the only way to go in my opinion, but a friend just bought an indoor fryer and we will have a cookoff on Thanksgiving and I will report back. I inject mine with creole butter and rub it down with Tony Chacherees. Here's a little tip to avoid using too much oil. Before you season your turkey put it in the pot that you are going to cook it in and fill the pot with water so it is just over the top of the turkey. Now remove the turkey and make a mark on the side of the pot where the water level is. Now you know the perfect amount of oil to add. We usually lower the turkey into the oil using a broomstick with a man on each end.
15. My God taught me to love everyone. It's hard but I try. Or at least I try not to hate people. That being said anyone have a manure spreader I may be able to use mid morning?
16. I know a Monroe County detective that has told me stories about people up there that don't have electricity but have some 12 volt lights and will bring the car battery in to use them. I'm not too far from the area that you speak, 15 miles due north maybe from Tellico Plains. I won't give a lot of details, I'm probably more isolated than anyone here and I would like it to stay that way. I'll put it this way, it's 12 miles to the closest gas station and 14 miles to the nearest traffic light. I go weeks at a time every now and then without seeing a traffic light, which suits me fine because I hate those things.
17. Some of us may not have much but we can go to bed each night knowing that everything that we do have we got honest. I'll take that over a bunch of material stuff and being sleepy all of the time any day. Good on you LINKS2K you did the right thing and it looks like you saw some people that you trusted for what they really are.
18. It's really sad. What is even sadder is the there are a variety of government assistance programs out there to help these kids but there is nothing to keep the parents from selling off the benefits to buy junk that they want, which happens more often than not.
19. You must have hit it on a bad night or something. I've been eating at Demos' for years, mostly the Lebanon location but the Downtown location as well. Nothing but great food and great service every time. I'm very picky about my steak and Demos' is one of the few places that can cook it right. Their spaghetti and whatnot is great as well.
20. I heard a story from a guy that was in Vietnam. They had a captured AK in their camp, every once in a while they would pull it out and play with it. They had shot corrosive ammo in it and put it away, of course Vietnam has the perfect conditions for corrosion. They would pull the rifle out, kick open the rusted shut bolt, insert a mag and empty it. It would just go once you knocked the rust off of it.
21. I see nothing wrong with keeping the money if someone damages your vehicle and you decide not to fix it. The way i look at it is it is worth that much less when you go to sell it, i.e. I have a $5000 vehicle and Jim hits it causing $2000 worth of damage. It is now worth $3000 or would be worth $5000 if I fixed it.
22. How many cat picture threads do we really need? http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/52984-feeling-a-little-catatonic/
23. I could be mistaken but I don't believe it will have much bearing on our beloved Mosins. Again I could be wrong, but I wouldn't pay any extra for a bring back Mosin, a Mauser would be a different story.
24. We always discuss any kind of major purchase. I bring in most of the money but I'm horrible at managing it, she however is really good at managing money. If I want something I tell her and she investigates whether or not we can afford it. If not she usually gives me some options like I can sell X or I can probably afford it in a certain period of time. She likes me to be able to get whatever it is that I want and helps me do it responsibly. If she wants something she asks me if she can buy it. She never asks for much so she usually gets whatever she asks for. We also don't have any debt.
25. I've had several in the past but I haven't had an aquarium in years. I would like to get another one but the temp in my house fluctuates a lot in the winter because I heat solely with wood. I'm thinking that goldfish might work okay but I would probably have them in the same room as the fireplace which sees the biggest changes in temp. I think my favorite aquarium that I had when I was a kid, though now illegal and probably was then too, a couple of bluegill/ sunfish and a painted turtle that I caught. I would feed the turtle minnows and it was lots of fun to watch him catch them. Unfortunately the turtle was killed by a couple of crayfish about 8" long that I stuck in there.
