  1. Buying shiny new handguns doesn't matter one bit if they're not trained properly to use it.  We're not talking about CAG or the 75th, who are already carrying Glocks, we're talking about big Army.  Whatever pistol they choose will likely be a stupid choice that reflects politics more than application.  It will be 9mm no matter what, anything else is a pipe dream.
  2. If you already have another rifle for deer hunting, my advice is for you to stick with it instead of dumping money into a gun that you have to start from scratch on and doesn't kill deer any more dead than another.  I've got some past and recent experience with x39 ARs and I still go back to a bolt gun with quick handling and great optics.  For me, semi-auto just doesn't factor in for whitetail hunting.  Every deer I've ever killed has been on the first shot.  If I didn't get it on the first one, the follow-up wouldn't get it either.   Especially if you just had a baby!  I've got a 5 month old, so I know the drill.
  3. Any updates on this pistol Dolomite?
  4.     Not that long ago, I bought an all-matching, unfired Gen 2 G19 for $400 on GB.  Still in the Tupperware.  They're out there, you just need to be ready to go when they show up.   Did an even trade with one of our behind-enemy-lines brothers for some brand new Gen 4 mags so that he could take the 2 preban mags that came with the gun.
  5.   Heck man, depending on where you work, you could lose your job or security clearances.  That's my beef with the TN law... potentially a sign that you overlook in the normal course of walking into a business could be your ticket to losing everything depending on how LE handles it.    I was at a restaurant a few weeks ago that had about 30 decals all over their entrance window.  On the way out while waiting for someone, I noticed that one of them was a gunbuster sticker.  Walking in, nobody in their right mind would be able to see it.

    4 Lb AR-15

Wouldn't a gym membership have been a little more cost effective?  Do you even lift bro?   :taunt:
  7. Good price for a private sale, but if you have to pay for shipping or transfer, then it's just ok. The KCI mags do not really add any value. They are good for inducing malfunctions in original form. The bodies are generally good, the internals stink. If the gun is in the condition you say it is, you are in the ballpark.
  8. By the way, I have been pulled over several times in Maryland over the last few years and have never been asked about firearms. If you get pulled over on I-95, it is safe to assume you were driving very poorly because EVERYONE speeds, so unless you are 15+ mph over, you will likely be ignored. On the other hand, if you drive on county highways where the speed limit changes from 65 to 45 to 35 in a blink, you are far more likely to get pulled over for speeding because unless you live there it is very easy to miss a sign. Carrying a shotgun sounds like more of a liability to me than anything else. The chance of needing to or being able to deploy a shotgun from a vehicle is pretty low compared to theft of the shotgun or getting hassled by LE.

    College! YAY!

That Putin portrait is fantastic. Where did you get it???
  10.   In New York, even as a resident if you do not have a New York pistol permit you cannot even physically touch a pistol.  The pistol permit classes in order to be able to buy a pistol involve BB guns and blue guns.  Different world.  I used to belong to a hunting camp in the Adirondack Mountains and the area puts the Smokies to shame.  Beautiful region, great people, just 3-4 hours north of NYC.  Most of the people in NY who don't live in NYC, Rochester, Buffalo or Albany are very conservative.  For the most part, our New York brothers have given the middle finger to their misguided elected officials... look at how few people registered their guns for the SAFE Act.   With respect to Maryland, just don't let yourself be an easy target.  If you drive on the beltway and have confederate flag stickers, "keep honking I'm reloading" or other crap like that, you could get targeted by an overzealous cop.  Do the speed limit, don't stop unnecessarily and use your head.  I spent 30 years living in New England and the Northeast.  The people that get in trouble are generally Darwin award winners.
  11. Gold plated Desert Eagle in .50AE with Eazy-E's likeness engraved on the slide along with some NWA lyrics. Or a Hi-Point spraypainted metallic gold with the same. Your call.
  12. Taran Tactical +1 extensions are good to go and bring you to a 7+1 capacity. Ditch the factory floorplates.
  13. This issue develops over time with some high use Glock pistols and magazines. IMO not worth sending to Glock, super easy fix. Those that rip mags from guns on reloads will not have this issue. Additionally, if you add the Taran baseplate that may help it drop free due to the extra weight.
  14. Nobody mentioned the movie Idiocracy?  It's pretty much a documentary.
  15. Examine the notch on the magazine where the magazine release touches it while inside the magwell.  If there is any excess plastic, carefully remove it with a razor.  If that doesn't work, replace the magazine release.   Also, since it is an ambi release, make sure that when you depress the button with your thumb that you're not "stopping the travel of the release" on the other side of the pistol.
