  1. I know you said you didnt want kydex, but you really should check out the Hybrid leather/kydex Comptac Minotaur holsters...they are supremely comfortable. I use one for my 1911 and my Kahr CW45...i have tried the Crossbreed, Kholster, and standard leather Don Hume's and none were as nice or comfortable as the M-tac in my opinion.
  2. I got the Bond Arms Derringer as a Christmas present to myself (how else does one justify a 2 shot break open gun at $450?) and honestly it is fun to shoot albeit a bit painful with the Winchester Super-X 000 buck. It has also had the unintended side effect of getting me warmed up to the 45LC and I have been browsin over the Ruger Redhawks.
  3. was that "out the door" or plus tax?
  4. heck yeah a functional gun for $50 that doesnt say Lorcin, Jennings, or raven on the side.....Awesome!
  5. I bought the DVD set at Borders on sale for $29.00
  6. I had an EAA polymer witness 45 that I had a lot of issues with, but the gun handled and shot very well. I would probably go for an all metal 10mm witness if I was to get one.
  7. The PM is definitely smaller than the CW, though the CW is still very small and light. The main reason I carry a Kahr is reliability and an amazing DAO trigger....shoot one and you will understand.
  8. I dont have a G27, but I have a very similar sized Kahr CW45 and while I was waiting on my Comp-Tac Minotaur IWB holster I did pocket carry it, but trust me you will be much happier using an actual holster for your gun, it distributes the weight much better and you will forget its there.
  9. Jack, in the same situation I would have had my firearm drawn also, maybe not raised, but definitely drawn. I have had to pull my gun on someone, and its not fun....I think you handled the situation just fine.
  10. If you change your mind the Comp-tac is on a 6-day wait right now...Probably the only IWB holster I will ever buy.....Congratulations on the purchase, great choice!
  11. Load it with the Winchester Super-X 5rd 000 buck 3" load and call it the Burt Reynolds special....Bubba will be the only one squealing like a pig when that baby hits him.
  12. Is this gun viable at all for us civvies that can only get a semi? or would a Beretta 45 Carbine be a better choice at 1/4 the price?
  13. DavidD....bout 8 lol Jhatmaker....I could definitely handle it with the adrenaline pumpin...and im not a big guy....the fit and finish is very impressive...you definitely know why it costs 4x as much as a Cobra lol.
  14. I was looking at the 18" DMR and then maybe doing the 12" barreled upper later when I feel like a .308 SBR
  15. OUCH.......used my self defense load: 45 Long Colt Double Tap with a Winchester Super-X 5shot 000 buck above it.....I can move my hand today but it felt like I was catchin a punch....definitely fun, but akin to shooting a 357mag in a snub nosed j-frame....suprisingly the Super-X hurt worse than the Double Tap....a fun, well built, super reliable BUG, but not a range toy.
  16. Nice looking gun....im getting the .308 itch again....any range reports?
  17. lowbud sorry to hear of the bad luck. also on an unrelated note...the CW45 is not reliable with 1911 mags...it will shoot, but feeding is an issue after 2 or 3 rounds....however with the factory mag the gun shot flawlessly with a random mix of hollow points of varying quality and fmj...it would not however fire semi-wadcutter match ammo(though my DW Cbob 1911 will).
  18. Finally got to shoot mine yesterday....Let Froggyone2 shoot it also...he said the trigger sucked(hes a long ranger)...I think it was comparable with a budget bin AR trigger....which is fine for me....fed and fired good cept for a couple issues when I didnt have the mag locked in fully(30rd)...the 42rd mag did great....overall very happy with it...probably gonna get a sling for it soon.
  19. Lol I bought 20 mags a little bit after they went on sale and still waited almost 2 months for them
  20. Definitely a good start to the collection :-D
  21. You did great, thats definitely the best deal runnin atm.
  22. Smith, glad to see you were able to get the 20" model. I put my Acog on mine...should finally be able to test her out on Sunday.
  23. I think you make a very good point.
  24. If you made the Kriss a rental I would drive all the way from Knoxville just to shoot it.
  25. Cool...tell him about TGO...we can always use more vendors...I grew up in Maryville...I will have to swing by there and check his place out.
