  1. pusherman....try the Winchester Super X 3" it has 5rds of 000 buck. Its probably gonna be your best short range load. If you want distance the Double Tap 185gr 45LC (non +p) is easy to handle and very accurate.
  2. I had a Kimber that had the XS sights...it was my favorite part of the gun lol.
  3. I would like to join you guys sometime after june 30th :-D
  4. I think you might be better served getting the barrel threaded and putting on a good brake(if you can find out why they dont recommend one)....be better for resell too if you decided to get rid of it.
  5. You dont wanna do that.
  6. Yeah they did state its lethal up to 300m....need to get your MSAR rail too when ya get movin again.
  7. just wait...CDNN will blow a bunch of em out later on...it always happens.
  8. I know where a good one is for sale ;-D
  9. I think they call that load the party favor....10rds of it right?
  10. Johnsonc22 you better check and see how much spread that snake shot has at indoor range...if it spreads too much you have an increased risk of hitting patrons...something that wouldnt be a problem with a standard hollowpoint....you might also want to consider a frangible round as a better alternative...as they definitely wont overpenetrate but will cause one hell of a nasty wound.
  11. Im all for the tea party and people expressing their honest opinions, but...Joe is not even a plumber, had no intentions of buying the business he talked about, and then bashed John McCain after John McCain had shone the spotlight on him to the point where people are now paying Joe to do speaking gigs which is a good thing since he didnt ever have a plumbing license in the first place. So yeah I think hes a phony and he has a good publicist.
  12. I have heard good things as well. :-D Also to smith: Tromix specifically states that Saiga 12's will not cycle the winchester bulk wal-mart stuff(even the guns they modify).
  13. Well for one hes not even a plumber....and he flip flops back and forth on who he supports and who he doesnt...so yeah...I think hes just a big fake.
  14. Depends on a lot of factors...semi/pump gun, stock choice....standard power or reduced recoil load? Between 9 and 12 in a 2 3/4 shell probably no difference....unless it says reduced recoil...its not.
  15. Brian, I think with guns as modified as ours we might run into some issues in regards to warranty work.
  16. its some odd looking stuff....if you have an HK91 or clone they have a kit where it will actually cycle for like $180(maybe less)...doubtful it will cycle my semi but im fine with single shot at $.20 per round Its so light it feels like its probably only primer propelled...havent taken a round apart yet. Dan's Ammo did confirm it is NON-corrosive.
  17. Try the twister pucks from www.mississippiautoarms.com So far the medium twister puck has helped mine a bunch...it wont do cheap birdshot but it does cycle the federal hi-power 1 1/8 #6 shot (i have heard 1oz shot will not cycle period). I have not tried the springs...I would not go that route. The twister pucks are $21.00 and their are 3 different styles....mine works with the medium on gunfixer plug setting 2. Mine is a 4 gas port gun. Im gonna try some Low Recoil buckshot and some winchester AA birdshot on wednesday time/weather permitting and will report back.
  18. I think hes just a glory hound looking for his next free meal.
  19. hahaha....i had some sighting in "issues" lol. The rain was a bear.....i just got in my shipment of plastic(yeah really) ammo to finish sighting it in and then I will be ready to try my hand at actual target shooting...then again I might just turn Froggy loose on it so you guys can get a good picture lol.
  20. definitely gimme the name and info on it if you get a chance to check.
  21. Not to start a flame war, but Daddy0 by your definition of "saving lives" and what not...you should stick to a Taser if your really that worried about someone else dying and getting sued. Now back to the OP's question...in a .40 that is most likely gonna be used in a crowded restaurant you should probably use a 135gr Hollowpoint. Federal has an LE round. 135gr creates the most "hydrostatic shock" and is a proven solid stopper in 40cal. It also should negate the risk of overpenetration.
