  1. Thanks for the report....looks like I might have something to save some bucks for.
  2. Thanks for the info...i was under the impression that if it wasn't US made it had to be stamped, but i guess not.
  3. The atf has so many other problems why even bring something this trivial up.
  4. at 9 months something is wrong....it only took 5 months for my SMG.....you might want to call and check on it to make sure they have everything they need.
  5. I think the shotgun news spread really made these things catch on. Some people on random forums were complaining about the plastic hammer breaking at 4,000rds and a few people had the lowers split after a few thousand rounds, but hell as long as your not staking your life on it who cares at this price point.
  6. If your in Kingston wouldnt Knoxville be semi-convenient? Coal Creek Armory carries Class 3 items...otherwise you could take a trip down to Hero Gear as they handle all the class 3 goodies too.
  7. Nice looking setup UkerDuker...how do you like the Adams Arms piston conversion so far?
  8. the AR10 for the money is a lot of gun. Its not a piston gun, but how often are you gonna shoot enough rounds for that to matter vs. price...think about how much 7.62 ammo you could buy with that $1,000 or more you will save and how much better a shot you will be for it. If you can err a bit more on accuracy in exchange for a robust reliable and proven system a good FAL can be had for about $1,000 and they are great guns. If looks arent terribly important and your gonna put a decent scope on it the FN FNAR and cheaper factory camo'd Winchester SX-AR are definitely worth a look. I have an SX-AR I got at Sportsmans warehouse for $850 and its way more accurate then I am....typically a 1moa semiauto(downsides are mags at $60 each 10/20rds and they recommend a factory/armorer cleaning at 1,000rds). Hope this helps!
  9. thats a toughy. I carry an LCR in the summer (like it over the SP101 for the lower weight even if there is a decrease in stopping power) and I carry a Sig P245 in the winter (i use a Galco Miami Classic as it is comfy and conceals under any jacket well...i prefer the 45's extra power vs other peoples winter clothing) So my vote in your similar situation would be both :-D I use to carry a Dan Wesson Bobtail 1911 IWB all the time and my biggest complaint with that was bumping into stuff and sometimes it poked the stomach even with the super well built Mtac holster.
  10. Lol....everyone has to collect something...appears you collect orphans, course if you lived in "DA hood" you could probably double your money ;-D You shoot those too many times your gonna be collecting fingers....your own. (i kid i kid) but seriously you might wanna sell them...with that many collected you could get a pretty nice gun.
  11. Anyone on the board own one or have shot one that can verify the accuracy merits the price....I was beating up on a Kimber today at CCA with my Sig P245 (i was surprised how heavy the trigger was on that Kimber...no Dan Wesson thats for sure). Yeah i do not forsee me scratching up $2300 for a pistol without selling quite a few that I like first.
  12. Thats a sweet rig, hopefully we will get some better weather soon :-)
  13. hahaha....i couldnt imagine what a full auto pt-22 would be like...talk about a "pocket protector"....since its illegal to enjoy like it is I would definitely send it to Taurus ASAP. If you want to avoid there not so highly regarded customer service I would pm some of the hero gear guys or some of the mods of the NFA section to see if they have some ideas you could try to fix it.
  14. So anyone else trying to figure out how many pints of blood they are gonna have to sell to buy one? I mean $2300 is a lot for a handgun, but what are the chances they will have it available for long? Heres a link if you don't know what a P210 is: Sig Sauer P210 Legend 9mm, Adjustable Target Sights - Top Gun Supply its kind of ugly in the I gotta have it, can't find one, must buy one kinda way.
  15. These have also peaked my interest quite a bit...we need a range report ASAP :-)
  16. Great buy!
  17. yeah thats what I gather...i was just curious as to if a lack of stamp automatically indicated USA made since the other SOG Flash 2 said "taiwan"...and i did google prior to asking...just got tired of reading lol.
  18. Their site says assembled in the USA for the Flash 1 and 2 but i remember the flash 2's blade said taiwan on it while my flash 1 says nothing...not that it would make me like it less, im just curious.
  19. I ended up buying myself a SOG flash I(1) over the holidays and had previously handled a Flash II that said "taiwan" however the flash I says nothing on it anywhere so is this actually an American made product? So far I have been very happy with my "cheapo" knife
  20. SLP is a beast....course pretty much anything FN is gtg
  21. Im interested to see what kind of accuracy it has....definitely looks good....course good glass would cost as much as the rifle.
  22. Gopher whats the twist on your MSAR is it the newer 1x8 or older 1x9?
  23. thats pretty cool....i dont need another pump, but then again....
  24. The saiga is great with slugs but I still don't trust mine enough to use it for hd for that I use my 870
  25. For $1000 the msar is a much better bullpup imho
