I don't have the time or I would. In a good month I go to the range twice. I have contemplated buying a nice reloading setup but it would take years as busy as I am for it to break even.

Anyone tried this stuff yet? I thought it would be a good "zombie" load I ordered 200rds plan on putting it 5 rounds from the bottom of the mag as a sort of "mag level" indicator. .223 (5.56x45 Mm) 64 - Gr. Fmj Ammo, Rifle Ammunition, American Eagle at Sportsman's Guide had the best price on it at $95 per 200rds. If you spend at least $125 this weekend they also give you free shipping Course I ended up buying some other odds and ends so I guess thats how they suck you in lol.....now if my Spikes Zombie lower would get here.....

At $200 I think there are other guns I would rather have, but alas I do have one so thats probably why I think that way.

I dont think they do yet. Your pretty handy...maybe you could fabricate something. Unless your only shooting 1 mag....you'll probably need something....would the piston make it less hot or would it be just like an AK?

Do the wood handguards have a steel heatshield? If not that's a poor design...I am wondering if timbersmith includes those...otherwise its just a show piece.

Just checked out the specs on the 50 beowulf...would rather use a 12ga with slugs.....now the 6.5 grendel....that has a lot of promise

arms are nice....i got a magpul rear, but i can't speak to its durability since im still waiting for the lower ;-)

Better built to withstand the higher pressure of surplus ammo that was designed for smg's whereas a tokarev will fail

Looks really nice...the price isnt much more then all the recent phillipines made guns....msrp is less then Remington...if its even semi accurate its a deal.

anyone looking at one of these would be better served hunting down a CZ-52 first...not as pretty...but a heck of a lot tougher.

no completely legal...just don't shine them at aircraft or motorist.

looks good to me! just get yourself a good buis and your gtg....though eotech's are damn near bulletproof.

the good ones normally won't...the cheap ones...well..yeah it happens....give a good one a try and you'll be hooked.

Reliable but not nearly as tough as the cz52 a lot of people recommend not shooting the surplus ammo through it and instead using the new stuff..unless replacing parts doesn't bother you. Definitely a neat gun for under $200 if I didn't already have the uglier tougher cz I would buy one.

I take it you havent had an 1100? They are typically tough as nails. However, I prefer my Beretta 1201fp

Right now www.aimsurplus.com has pre-order available on the Spikes ST15 lowers for $79.99 shipped. Which beats any local deal I have found by about $40.00 I considered buying another just because its such a good deal in case I wanted to build another later. Call me crazy but I think your gonna see some price increases around nov/dec due to the crazies thinking the world is gonna end in 2012

I could have gotten one directly from AIM for $80 shipped to my FFL, but I decided to get a custom Zombie one instead so it has to be made and sent from Spikes.
