My favorite gun is my Sig P220 Sport all stainless 45acp extended controls, factory tuned trigger, handfit, and factory Sauer compensator. It's more accurate then me, same recoil as a full sized 9mm, and no longer in production with factory compensator. Now if I can just pry it out of my girlfriends hands...

It costs an arm and a leg(well $225) but the Spikes Nickel Boron(failzero) coated BCG is pretty awesome. I have it on mine and its super slick and easy to clean. It requires very little/no lube....down the road might not be a bad upgrade.

Wow...good to know. My Surplus Arms and Ammo $60 lower is the same forging as the $79 spikes I ordered lol. Unfortunately the SAA lower also has a more even finish...now hopefully spikes won't let me down on my "zombie" lower thats been on order for over 2 months.

Those are really nice....they make a kit that allows you to put those on your P226....also the Hogue Aluminum grips are a little slice of amazing.

I am a Sig Fanatic and have actually found that I prefer the DA/SA over SAO or DAO...now the DAK trigger...its pretty dang sweet...kind of like a worked over Smiths Double Action...its quite smooth and crisp....also the Kahr's have very good DAO triggers. My hands down fave though is the Sig DA/SA with SRT(short reset trigger)....I carry with one in the chamber and the first pull is heavy enough you won't shoot your butt off, but the rest of the pulls are so short as to be effortless.

If you decide you don't want it I will give you your $450 back for it :-D

Ditto what everyone else said, as long as its not open/been opened you can be surrounded in beer without issue while carrying.

Was it nitron covered stainless or all "shiny" stainless(I was referring to the shiny version...theres a better way to articulate this but my brain is numb at the moment)

Beretta's are good accurate guns, but I have never had one I fell in love with....I have had 4-5 and traded all of them away.

Yeah all the older ones rust. You gotta keep em heavily oiled on the slide or just go ahead and have it refinished with something better then that BS nitron they put on(or in the olders ones case black paint...which is about the same). I love Sig's but if you want a non-rusting one buy an all stainless.

Just to throw another fly in the mix....anyone seen the pricing/specs on the Palmetto State Armory Uppers? Includes BCG for $399!!!! They are out of the standard 16", but they do have the 14.5" in stock...its a carbine length gas system so thats a bit of a bummer but geez is it cheap for the materials used.

For what I paid for it, and how bad a shot I am....its stayin stock for now Jeff...you do bring up a good point about cases, and rifles not fitting with the scope on however. I might go ahead and spring for the quick release rings for that reason alone.

I would go hogue aluminum over nils for a gun like that. Looks awesome man.

I have a Spikes NiB and my cousin who just got out of basic thought it was a whole lot easier to clean and slightly smoother then his issued gun. That being said the Spikes are built every bit as well as the BCM at a lower price. Same goes for DD.

Definitely a bad spot to be in....if im not 100% im gonna open fire plain and simple....Hopefully it will be the right call.

Thanks for the video Dolomite...that does shed more light on events. The police shouldnt have lied since they really had nothing to lie about. Still a shame the man had to die...though if I had done proper procedure as these police officers had and there was a weapon pointed at me I would have opened fire too.
