  1. Norris Norris Range Upper Clear Creek Road Phone: (865) 494-0881(Norris Police Department) or 494-0880 Facilities include: Rifle (100-300 Yards), 25 yard pistol range with 5-yard increments, Covered shooting tables What you have to do is go to the Police Department and sign up (its $25 for july-june) and then they give you directions to the actual range which is about 10mins away. for the money it cant be beat...unless you have a lotta land and no neighbors close by.
  2. My personal opinion is I wouldnt voice that idea out loud. It makes us look well.....crazy to the liberals. To be honest...the idea sounds a little crazy to me too.
  3. Shoot em Up is great as long as your not looking for realism or seriousness. Great Paul line is "Are we really just this bad, or is he just that good" this after he dodges another 1,000 bullets. I actually bought the movie because its just entertaining and it does NOT take itself seriously. It is unrealistic on purpose. I mean he pays for ammo with food stamps lol. Grosse Point Blank is a classic...as is HEAT...afterall its main shoot-out was the inspiration for the North Hollywood Bank Robbery. Found a great Zombie movie the other day. Its very hard to find but Blockbuster has it: FIDO....absolutely helarious and just a great all around Zombie flick with a 50's setting. Definitely a hidden gem for my fellow Zombie buffs.
  4. I just joined the club today....Bought a 638 from the Rabbi. Went to sell him something and he sold me...go figure! Second purchase from him. Super nice guy (dont let his forum persona fool you). Great selection of nice firearms (sorry no Low-Points) at incredible prices. I actually spotted a few I might need to come back for....
  5. CONGRATULATIONS! Definitely a good day!
  6. Thats pretty awesome. I like the side mounted optics so I guess that wouldnt work for me, but would definitely be an improvement otherwise. I like the dirt demo lol. "it is afterall an AK"
  7. You can go to Norris and shoot its a whopping $25 a year. Open daylight to dusk and you get your own key to let yourself in and out. They have boards set out to 300 yds just bring a good staple gun and some targets. If shooting a shotgun they ask that you please bring your own target holders so as not to destroy the backboards.
  8. What kind of business was that? Any word on whether or not he hit the perp? Looked like he did.
  9. Yeah I like it a lot. only problem I have had is with the carrier forwards and backwards being reversed and sometimes a light will be out at the 15yrd mark. Otherwise I like the people, I like the place, and their prices arent bad either.
  10. You all are pansies. If I wasnt working I would be there. In the final days do you think the Zombies are going to stop trying to eat your brains just because its snowing?? Just saying some extreme weather practice wouldnt hurt ;-D
  11. Dwrd: Very nice, what kind of bipod are you using? Harris? Edit: Paletiger...just went back a page and saw your SL8....gorgeous. Dangit you all are making me want a non-commie gun also lol.

    New "toy"

I would definitely rather have that as opposed to a knife or nothing....well or maybe some good throwing stars ;-D

    New "toy"

Haha...let us know how she shoots.
  14. Halfpint why did you sell the 556? What were your impressions of it?
  15. Get an AK....your .223 is too weak ;-D *let the flames begin*
  16. Hahaha...I might need you to work me up a deal on one...give me something to look forward to when I drop your car off
  17. Anders...thanks for the heads up...thats awesome. Though i might be willing to pay the extra to get the S & B...wolf is only suited to the AK as it is absolutely NASTY ammo. In my limited experience the Sellier and Bellot is far superior to wolf in accuracy and cleanliness. I dont care to throw junk in an AK style rifle but would rather not in my pistols....but $30 is $30.... Edit: Strick J Aim has that same WOLF for $150 per 1,000. I cannot find anything else ammo wise on Sportsmans that is less then AIM....just that 9mm....but man...that is cheap(for todays prices).
  18. Yeah I have one on backorder from centerfire....i can afford to wait as it allows me to keep the dust off my others ;-D
  19. The way I understand it Yes and Yes....however good luck finding a public range that will let you shoot it. I have been looking at that but I think I would want to test it on a very inexpensive gun first.
  20. Aim Surplus again has the best price I could find anywhere online for quality range ammo...probably want to move on this quick the way things are going. http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/Sellier___Bellot_9mm_115grn_FMJ.html Hope this helps my fellow "plinkers"
  21. Im startin to think I need one of those. Something that would always fit in the glovebox of whatever im driving....I hate you all.
  22. Nope...still dont have a .22 Thought about maybe getting a ruger charger though. The whole 550 rds for $14 at Wally World is quite appealing.
  23. If I tinkered with something like that it would only be a blast (no really it would probably blow up in my hands).
