time will tell...lots of horror stories of this happening to US companies.

Wonder how long before that Chinese factory screws them over and releases it under a different name or it shows up on Alibaba at half price

New TN CC requirements pass house and senate
Magiccarpetrides replied to Dustbuster's topic in General Chat
This sounds like a complete waste of time...except for the part of it being free ...and honestly if you can't afford $100 your priority maybe shouldn't be carrying a weapon. -
That's not bad at all...glad they improved the trigger!
-
Lol you all seriously crack me up....yeah the law is on your side if your under 21 and have a gun in your car...yeah your also more likely to get shot over it too or get jammed up ...do any of you remember how foolish and naïve you were at 21 and under? I sure do...but if you want to put that risk on your kid so be it.

Ruger PC Carbine 9mm (glock mags) $449 at PSA!
Magiccarpetrides replied to Magiccarpetrides's topic in Long Guns
Probably what happened was PSA got a heads up the tactical version was coming so they said crap 399!! then they saw what it looked like and said...I bet we can still get 449 I only like the railed version for ppsh re-enactment purposes -
Many things are not at the discretion of the officer but im not gonna get myself in a world of headache or worse because "I have the letter of the law on my side". I actively avoid conflict with LEO's whenever possible because I have a couple friends that are cops and their job is already hard enough but to each their own.

The deal is almost back (was 399 at one time...still with free shipping this is a killer buy) https://palmettostatearmory.com/ruger-pc-carbine-9mm-16-rifle-19100.html?trk_msg=6E5ULFAN2P14F72N2PM1JO8GL8&trk_contact=25COQ2C262FM0TA5QK27VTIGMG&trk_sid=3PC2T7NJSQA6G16V15LS64SP1O&utm_source=Listrak&utm_medium=email&utm_term=https%3a%2f%2fpalmettostatearmory.com%2fruger-pc-carbine-9mm-16-rifle-19100.html&utm_campaign=Daily+Deal+Email&utm_content=12%3a00+Email

Great choice! That finish against those grips is awesome...me and my friends have hipowers we had lightning cuts and gold bead front sights installed on...we still haven't settled on the refinish though....been guarding his closet for the better part of 5 years lol.

I honestly enjoy the building part almost as much as the shooting lol.

I get where your coming from....a bit of advice...if you don't have an HCP...don't carry a gun in the car...explaining to the cop that pulls you over for whatever (I remember being in my early 20's) that you have a gun due to castle law...well that wont end well for you ...maybe you'll win in court but do you really want that hassle. I too prefer a handgun over not having one but until you have an HCP I would strongly strongly recommend you just carry bear mace or something similar in your car...that Kimber pepper ball gun is a good choice...gives you a little distance and less likely to rupture from heat in the glovebox....just my $.02
-
I used to carry a Dan Wesson Cbob in 45 all the time....it wasn't too bad as long as you get the right holster...just don't go cheap there...but do hunt a used one..ppl ditch them for a fraction of new price all the time.....that being said I prefer a lighter weight firearm...currently im a USP 45 "compact" winter carry and a Sig P365 Summer carry.
-
That's not bad including the light and the dot...I appreciate you checking...im thinking the PLR with 9" barrel and SBA3 is gonna be under 6lbs...course it'll be the ugliest girl at the prom.
-
If you have a fish scale or something similar and you don't mind...weigh that thing and lemme know what shes clocking with an empty mag...ive got a franken PLR16 project im working on and a "lightweight" Troy Palomino 14.5" gun im trying to get a comparison on.

Yeah that maxim is pretty sweet...glad to hear it balances well...i'll probably bite the bullet and buy one for an AR one of these days.

I actually like the M&P's quite a bit...I got a Gen 1 MP40 Atlanta Police Gun ...shoots quite well and the ergo's fit my hand great...a bit too big to carry but great as a range or nightstand'er
-
hows the trigger on it...that's one of the things besides self restraint that held me back.
-
I've seen people on other boards use these with great success...not cheap but pretty cool...probably less of a hassle then using a magwell adapter...and I guess overall it is cheaper then getting a dedicated lower/magwell etc aimsurplus had these for sale awhile ago....not really a very new idea btw

Now that's just funny right there...like the Trump Hairpiece cameo.. https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-gen2-pa-10-build-the-wall-stripped-lower-receiver.html?trk_msg=F38RCPL9TEP4J06A7984LU9N8G&trk_contact=25COQ2C262FM0TA5QK27VTIGMG&trk_sid=1C9MRK0PP7I11C49EBEGELD1T8&utm_source=Listrak&utm_medium=email&utm_term=https%3a%2f%2fpalmettostatearmory.com%2fpsa-gen2-pa-10-build-the-wall-stripped-lower-receiver.html&utm_campaign=Daily+Deal+Email&utm_content=12%3a00+Email

I think Sig really jumped to the head of the pack with the P365...except for brand loyalty or price difference I don't see how other brands can compete in the micro compact category until they figure out how to get more rounds in the chamber in a similar size.
