Im a beretta guy too for plinking (too big for me to carry unless its shouldered)....its all I can do not to buy Rabbis S&W PD....I have always wanted a 1911 but just have never "took the plunge". I think I would rather get a Python or King Cobra before I go down that road...or maybe actually build my AR lower lol.

You could get an SL8-6 and do the G36 conversion, the Sig 556 is pretty sweet, or you could get a Saiga in .223 JWP has one for sale and trick it out...that would probably be the logical way to go as far as $$$ concerned....

I absolutely agree with that. I carry everywhere I go...even to Memaws on wednesdays for "family night". I was just mentioning what kind of area that was for people that didnt know/hadnt been there. Like the officials said crimes like this are not super common...its not detroit ;-D I recently had a detailer that works on our cars asked me why I carry everyday...I told him the Badguys arent going to warn you before they attack...as the old saying goes "better to have it and not need it, then need it and not have it".

You could probably just sell it to me...thats what I would do if I didnt feel comfortable with handgun ;-D

I have been to that amusement park quite a few times (mom lives in MN) and security was always very good there....however the twin cities (minneapolis/st.paul) do have their fair share of criminals and thugs....think somewhere between nashville and memphis.

VW chooses Tennessee for new U.S. plant April Wortham Martin Winterkorn, CEO of Volkswagen AG Volkswagen AG announced today that it will build a factory in Chattanooga, Tenn. Initial production capacity for the $1 billion plant is expected to be 150,000 vehicles, including a new mid-sized sedan designed for North America. Production is scheduled to begin in early 2011. "The U.S. market is an important part of our volume strategy, and we are now very resolutely accessing that market," said VW group CEO Martin Winterkorn. Winterkorn said the factory will play a key role in boosting VW brand sales in the United States to 800,000 units by 2018. As recently as last week, most speculation had VW locating the plant in Alabama. Michigan was a distant third choice for the project.

Just a question but wouldnt it be better just to get a ruger 10/22 and save a bunch of money? Or are we talking about just making an upper to take on and off?
