Your right about that...I finished paying the IRS for '07 the other day and was totalling up receipts....needless to say I will be staying out of the bars for the remainder of '08. It was quite sobering when I realized what I wasted. Shooting is much more fun then hanging around in a bar.

I got you all beat lol.... I picked up a couple weeks ago from a questionable source a 2005 Interceptor Vest with soft armor and all the accesories including throat and groin protection along with lvl IV rifle plate inserts lol

You could always start small with an RIA and make sure you really like the 1911 thing...im sure you could probably sell it a gun show later when you wanted to upgrade and get your money back out of it.

I have been saving my .44mag cases...if I decide not to start reloading they are yours for free :-D

On some of the guns I was shown they used Kart (sp?) barrels....dont know about the rest of the parts...they probably wouldnt need a foundry but a C&C machine would be helpful:cool:

Yeah I would definitely try to hunt some used or demo units...you might want to contact some of our vendors to see if they might have some on a used gun that they would swap off with your stock grips and sell you. Another thing to think about when putting on those grips is if it will make the gun width too thick for your purposes.

Good ammo should suffer no degradation from heat...moisture is more of an issue to ammo then heat.

I always inform the officer that 1st I have a handgun carry permit and 2nd that I am currently carrying a firearm. I also have all my windows down, my interior lights on, and my hands on the wheel before the get up to the car. Since I have done it this way both times I got pulled over (once for speeding, once for tags) I have recieved a warning and no ticket YMMV.

I agree with your rational on concealed carry...however im not down with the badge but to each their own. I really see no reason to open carry unless your at home for comfort reasons.

You gotta think its over 120 degrees in Iraq and their ammo doesnt pop off on its own....you shouldnt worry too much about that.
