  1. I started a new thread on this on accident...I will be checking her out soon.
  2. So I received a "free" DVD sent out by the NRA featuring Rob Pincus I have not got a chance to watch it yet, but for $10 im sure it will be worth keeping. Anyone else recieved this or checked it out? Thoughts and opinions.
  3. With enough hunting around military body armor isnt all that hard to find. I take it that you arent supposed to keep your vest when you leave?
  4. I too was wondering where Mars was at. I will truly miss his wit and wisdom. He was a great guy and he will be sorely missed. Rest in peace.
  5. Awww man, I thought for sure this would end up being a for sale ad J/K...Congratulations!
  6. The upper is complete but a lot of the other stuff still has to be assembled...fwiw I hear its easy as pie...I havent undertaken that journey yet though...
  7. Del-Tons kits are already assembled and headspaced so the upper is all ready to go...if my reading comprehension is correct.
  8. Hero Gear says nothing but good things about them. I have only heard of good experiences. Pirate I would suggest you look into a Spikes or Tactical Innovations lower...I prefer the tactical innovations because it has a couple of um.... tactical innovations ;-D They run about $125 on the skreet. Check with any of our friendly vendors here for a great deal on either of the aformentioned stripped lowers.
  9. The stripped lower is the only part that requires an FFL...its what everything mounts to and also what has the serial #. Everything else can be bought with no background check and even mailed to your front step courtesy of the United States Postal Service if you so wish. You can go to www.del-ton.com for an in-depth look at different parts and their names and such.
  10. you could probably use a .223 magazine for a 5.45 couldnt you?
  11. Strange place to find these and probably the best prices i have stumbled across so far.... http://ammunitiontogo.com/catalog1/index.php?cPath=334
  12. nice
  13. technically speaking arent all rifle rounds armor piercing?
  14. 4.5lbs would be amazing....that would definitely be a gun better left unmodified to keep the weight savings...I just cant understand for the life of me why someone would take a relatively light M4 and mod it to the point that it weighs more then an AK.
  15. I flew frontier and it was way easy. Just follow the TSA guidelines. I was really surprised how easy it was. Didnt even get hit with the random search at the gate. What I did was put the handgun in a metal locking storage safe I also set one box of unopened ammo in with it and then put that(the locking safe that held the gun and ammo) in the check in suitcase. Announced that I had the firearm..they checked it out...made me open the locking safe...looked to make sure the ammo wasnt loose in the box and then put it back and let me lock the safe back. The TSA guy even ziptied the suitcase zippers together for me. Just make sure the pistol and magazines are not loaded and any ammo is in its original container.
  16. CONGRATULATIONS! What a great week...plus you will now never forget the week you got your stamp also ;-D
  17. Not quite finished with the Saiga 12...still gotta put the Ace Stock on it and have Coal Creek coat it. Specs: Saiga 12 with 19" barrel By magiccarpetrides, shot with DSC-H5 at 2008-09-18 2nd Up Saiga .308 with 22" barrel aka "Saiganuv" (thanks NsNate for the rail kit) By magiccarpetrides, shot with DSC-H5 at 2008-09-18 My ak has been pictured elsewhere
  18. Haha yeah possibly....Dont get me wrong I will get my future holsters from them also, but I didnt get the Super Fast mailout I had heard so much about.
  19. The one I ordered from them a month or two ago took right at 2 weeks. Not super fast, but not super slow either. It was an M-Tac for my Dan Wesson Cbob
  20. thats pretty cool...congrats!
  21. Thanks Clute...im all fore'armed out at the moment but that tri-rail is pretty sweet. Thanks to NsNate I was able to go the cheap route on my .308 and just used the bottom rail from a rail kit on the factory forearm....it actually installed with no modification besides removing the sling swivel.
  22. Lately im all about the Food Club Orange "drink" ...or is it Oh No?
  23. Maybe that trigger guard is not enlarged and the gun is actually that small?
