  1. I had some "cheapie" HDMI cables I bought at Target. Connecting my LCD to my PS3 and the problem I had was if they barely moved at all I would lose picture and they didnt fit snug to either source. I replaced them with a 800 series Monster Cable and now have no wiggle and no picture loss. The Best Buy salesman actually told me to avoid the rocketfish cables like the plague (which had the same specs but were cheaper), but he also told me since my TV was 60hz and not a 120hz that I didnt need to spend the extra money on the 1000 series Monster Cable which I appreciated. He told me the biggest difference was the Monster Cables will last as long as you want to keep them due to quality control and materials where-as the Dynex, Rocket Fish, and other "cheap" brands degrade pretty quickly over time. He said even the Best Buy installers would not use Rocket Fish and would actually use the Dynex brand first(even though Dynex makes rocket fish for best buy).
  2. They have one for rent in Knoxville, TN at Coal Creek (i know its not middle, but i havent seen many ppl that rented them).
  3. Sounds like someones about to buy themselves a X-mas gift lol....I can say from experience DrAlarms is a good guy to deal with!
  4. Yeah you did, I need to make my way down there...wheres it located?
  5. If your in knoxville your welcome to borrow mine.
  6. Hahaha....always nice to get some cheap humor from the banter on this site ;-D Yes I will definitely be waiting on an AR...actually I think I would just like to find a "reasonably priced" lower for the time being so at least if they do get banned I can build one.
  7. Mmmm...bargains....
  8. Nice collection!
  9. Lol reminds me of the Gopher battle on caddy shack.
  10. Yes an AOW makes an excellent car gun....now if only it didnt have to stay unloaded lol.
  11. Kahrman is an excellent guy to deal with...thats a beautiful hand cannon.
  12. Whats the MSRP on that bad boy?
  13. hahaha....so true. I have NEVER been to knife works (just not a blade kinda guy) but I hear good things. J Floyds is really overpriced on some things (though still no Gander Mtn) and kind of like Dicks will have a couple "bargains" that they probably just dont know they have. Its worth a look if your in the area...course there is also a Bass Pro up the road. Sometimes I have an interesting collection of firearms at the car lot but not at the moment
  14. The recoil on my AOW is pretty heavy, but still controllable course it does have dual pistol grips which helps quite a bit. Sometimes when im bored I take mine with me but only with rounds in the side saddle Make sure you have your tax stamp(or a copy) with you at all times though.
  15. I dunno but this looks pretty much like a painful tumbling round right here http://www.brassfetcher.com/FN%20SS195%20lead-free%20FMJ.html SS196 sucks rocks and was replaced with SS197....SS195 is still very much available and is identical to SS192 except its lead free and as quoted elsewhere "5.7 has been around for over 10 years. It is not to soon to state it's ballistic performance. It is new to the civilian market because it's information is being supressed. The SS192 & SS195 have almost identical ballistics to LEO's SS190 round. The difference is the SS192 & SS195 are designed to deform when encountering thick steel plates to make it safe for range use. As far as terminal ballistics in humans they are practically the same. I have personally conducted test with the SS192 & SS195 and found the penetration of kevlar to be very close to the SS190. I would not consider the SS196 since that round was purposely designed to diminish it's capabilitys for civilians." The owner of Frontier Firearms also conducted his own tests with lvlII kevlar and SS195....its cuts right through both sides. So what were we disagreeing on again? To me it seems most detractors of the 5.7 have never actually shot or owned one.

    CZ 52

Great....now I gotta go tinker with my CZ52 and look for punch marks
  17. well crap...lol
  18. If your shotgun has a vent rib you can buy a fiber sight that actually clips to the metal sight bead and then "sticks" to the rib for about $20 at Dicks...just spotted it the other day when I was buying a choke wrench.
  19. Hahaha Rabs is crazy...yeah thats actually the kind of sling im huntin....Poak...what ya got?
  20. lol never heard that before. Yes 2 500's definitely ups the intimidation factor...I hope hes a fast draw...
  21. uhhh
  22. Those are pretty sweet, but I prefer the extra capacity my "standard" aow has of 4+1 instead of the Serbus 2+1 There comes a point when capacity trumps size imho.
  23. Dont forget the mandatory sling! I actually thought of some kind of tactical sling for the pistol grip on the AOW....anyone know of some kind of uber-tactical-mall-ninja-fantabulous-secret-service hangs at your side and you can swing it up one handed and go BOOM...kinda sling?
  24. Thanks for the range report....might have to look into one of these after the holidays.
