  1. To add to the excellent review I have a CAA folding fore-grip on my M11/9 and its pretty awesome. I also have a CAA grip on my Saiga 12 and its great too.
  2. on a side note the real Acogs are pretty sweet...I love mine!
  3. hahahaha you all got me with that one...I actually thought that was real too lol...I was like "finally they classified...acknowledge...otherworldly powers....classified" lol.
  4. Nice article and imho very very true.
  5. The tactical RIA is probably the best deal going on a reliable 1911...that Star 9mm for under $200 is pretty dang tempting...Stars are great pistols....though parts arent so easy to find.
  6. Well I thought mine was cool...... http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=119268474
  7. Oh yes I will definitely be seeing Gran Torino on Jan 9th when its released...Clint Eastwood is the man.
  8. Cool...might have to check it out with all the free movie passes I got for X-mas.
  9. I have actually heard rumor that Quotas are illegal...however as city and county governments are losing more and more revenue due to a sh*tty economy they are turning the pressure up on their LEO's to write more tickets as a source of revenue. There is actually a story about this in the latest Motor Trend Magazine.
  10. OMG LOL....and I thought East Town mall was bad...wait it still is...but that hickoryharlem sight is helarious! The last few times I went to Opry Mills I didnt think it was all that bad, but it was probably about 4months ago and not near Christmas so maybe the holidays bring a different crowd. I carry everywhere also.
  11. I have both...the M-tac is 1000x more comfortable....as far as concealability they are both equal imho
  12. Whats the weight capacity on the shelves? Most storage cabinets are only rated at 30lbs per shelf. If its significantly higher I would mind buying one from your friend.
  13. I was wondering if a Hogue Universal would work...I almost bought the Lage grip but decided it wasnt my style. Jerry from Recon Ordinance is making some drums but he said they were gonna be almost $400 *OUCH* I need to return the 56rd extended mag because the machining on it was very rough and it doesnt really fit in the gun....I dunno if im gonna ask for a refund or just get some more std mags. If C&S makes a drum let me know!
  14. LOL...well if your ever gonna be down in knoxville let me know ahead of time and I will let you shoot both :-D
  15. The only downside to buying at whitehall is that if it breaks your stuck with it. I recently bought a bracelet for the girlfriend that was right under $1,000 at Marks and Morgan and it broke on the 1st day! Needless to say I returned it, got a refund, and bought her some amazing "build your own" diamond stud earrings from bluenile.com that I highly recommend. However whitehalls prices were pretty enticing.
  16. nice....you dont happen to know where I could get a .22lr conversion kit for a P229 do you?
  17. I currently have ~2800rds left :cool:from the super Bass Pro Remington blowout earlier this year.
  18. No can yet....plan on getting one sometime in the future when im un-broke lol. The 56rd'r is pretty helarious...unfortunately the fit and finish on it is not nearly as good as the standard recon ordinance mags so im gonna have to send it back...i might see if he will just swap me for some more standard sized mags. Bkelm...might go todaoy later in the afternoon....drop me a pm with your number and I will call you if we go.
  19. Accessories are: Max-11 "slow fire" upper (~600rpm), CAA Folding Fore Grip, C-More sight, New Style Collapsible Stock, Extended Cocking Knob, Recon Ordinace 30rd and 56rd mags. If it will fit I plan on putting a Hogue Universal grip on it...other then that I think shes good to go. I just put the new upper and acc's on tonite so maybe Sunday I will have a range report on her with the new stuff.
  20. Have to give a huge +1 to JWP and Coal Creek Armory for making my first machine gun purchase so easy! Got me hooked up and even let me make no interest payments I bought it over a month ago, but wanted to wait til I could get it pictured once it was accessorized or made "tacti-cool" Anyways...heres the before and after pics: By magiccarpetrides, By magiccarpetrides By magiccarpetrides By magiccarpetrides
  21. You might want to check feeding and function with the non +p SD ammo and then load with the +P with a few back to back firings of each in between so you feel the difference (if there is any) to avoid premature wear on the Kel-Tec.
  22. I cant believe 44m actually made that statement....maybe someone stole his login? I dont think the government is going to start grabbing our guns because there are too many states that would outright threaten seccession for such an absurd act. Not too mention that citizens...most citizens know that once you give something up its gone for good....look at the poor Brits and what they have done to themselves with their gun bans...same thing in Australia too. I think if you need the hicap mags or want to make some money down the road buying a large amount would not be a bad thing. I was talking to an NFA dealer the other day that bought an allotment of 10,000 mil-surp 30rd'ers.
  23. Head over to www.woot.com they have the N-Vision monoculars(1st gen) for $89 shipped. Might be useful if your a big outdoors type...if nothing else read their little writeup its quite amusing.
  24. well now thats an idea I didnt consider though I would really prefer a large opening cabinet so I can stack stuff (I usually keep all my ammo in boxes or 30cal cans)
  25. Anyone got any recommendations for a ammo cabinet that can hold a lot of weight and has closing doors (dont really care how secure the locks are since its just the ammo). I have been looking everywhere, but all I can find in a cabinet are the rubbermaid types that dont have any shelf capacity or the open stackable metal wire shelves that have lots of load bearing but arent enclosed which I dont want because I would like to keep my ammo dry (its in the garage but I would like to be able to use a dehumidifier with the storage). Right now most of it stays in the safe and I would rather use that for gun storage.
