  1. I see the 2nd amendment will not infringe part of the arguement but honestly I think this isn’t the best idea our state has ever had...of course me already having a lifetime permit might be a bit biased that other people don’t even have to pass a dumbass exam or shoot a blimp at 7 meters like I did.
  2. I've looked over that ad 3 times now...I don't see why in the hell people are shelling out that much for a used one when the new ones are readily available for $500ish??? People really do just get a desire to "win the bid"...god bless gunbroker.
  3. Bahahaha ...whose this gun dealer...I guess I better slap a $50 hand guard on mine it’s worth a fortune lmao https://www.gunbroker.com/item/869171239
  4. Your not 308 but your well within 200lb killing range with a 7.62x39 at 200yds...so that would bend the rules a smidge but definitely work. As far as my small frame 308 They don’t make a stripped version like mine these days I can weigh it later but it’s under 7.5lbs for sure now I’m curious how much lol.
  5. My adams arms small frame piston driven 308 AR is right at 7.5lbs with the magpul furniture. Or you can go with a KS47 which depending on barrel length is well under 7lbs depending on what you hang on it and will easily reach out and kill at 200yds. Also again I realize we are talking about a pre-1990 concept that's why I said "progress happens". DaveTN I understand the application driven aspect that's why there are situations where a 22 makes the most sense ;-D
  6. I think the scout is very cool and great for an individual BOB but in all practicality semi-auto is just a lot better for a multitude of reasons...first and foremost you find yourself fired on first a bolt action is about the last thing I would want if my position is known. Modern day semi-autos have proven to be extremely reliable and if you want to keep the weight down a KS47/Mutant in 7.62x39 will give you the extra power at 200yds without the weight of a 308 sized frame. Or a piston driven small frame 308 will do the trick if it must be 7.62x51 or better and still under 7ish lbs. not saying he was wrong then but progress happens.
  7. Lol man just become a benefactor and list it for sale ...it’s very obvious what your doing here. I think it’s like $35 for 6 months. Who knows maybe you can turn a buck off several builds if your so inclined but please do it the right way. Also as to value an unknown person building one in Knoxville isn’t going to bring as much as an established company...I personally wouldn’t buy a home built AK unless I knew the person who built it had some actual gunsmith credentials (like Xtriggerman on here).
  8. That plastic hand guard is awful if I do one it’ll be the red lion or Midwest...but honestly I’m keeping it light and I don’t see me getting any extra function outta a hand guard ..if I want sexy and heavy I’ll just pick up my Troy AR lol.
  9. Recently installed this AAC Blackout Muzzlebrake/Flash Hider got a lil Noir going...probably gonna just throw a sling on it be done I actually don’t mind the lack of front hand guard as I find it comfortable from the mag well (not the magazine I know better lol)
  10. Might help to know what brand and grain is the ammo and what brand is the mag you used. My experience with quality and my Frankenstein ARs has been they are all quite reliable. So a dud from Ruger would surprise me.
  11. It’s actually not so bad if you take off the useless front rail...and btw...Sportsmans Warehouse has them for only $4200
  12. Sportsman's Warehouse has amazing prices on just about anything shooting related I wish we had one in Knox/Blount County I wonder if some of the increase in ammo prices isn't from other vendors realizing they don't have to compete with Wally World anymore.
  13. That’s awesome ! Wow it sounds like he really gave you a completely different mindset on top of Improving firearms skill. That’s no easy feat. Very very cool.
  14. Excellent job really liked the video. Keep up the good work!
  15. Greener but not any meaner...Remington has rebadged it as the R2mi https://www.breachbangclear.com/remington-r2mi-50-caliber-rifle-bolt-gun/
  16. I just wanna know where to get my own AT4! J/K but seriously these people are absolute morons. They are definitely not helping our cause in any way.
  17. I sold it about 2 years ago ... prices had gone up quite a bit and at the time I had a pretty sweet bump-ski 9mm setup that was very controllable. Course trump ruined that cheap fun. I don’t regret selling it I’ve since invested that money elsewhere but it was a lot of fun.
  18. Same here so I’m not gonna believe it’s anything but vapor ware until it shows up
  19. I really enjoyed my m11/9 with lage upper
  20. Appreciate the attempt I’ve got an RMR myself gathering dust
  21. You need to talk to the resident gun machinist around here EDIT: XTRIGGERMAN....he is the king of cool Frankensteins and putting together stuff the ATF torched in half.
  22. My AR50 is just single shot so
  23. That 458 penetrator is epic I’d like to see it vs an engine block
  24. I remember those DEA rifles those were the coolest when I first got into ARs
