Picked up the Glock 19, GEN 3, this evening. They've been elusive but Academy had one in stock for the same prices that people are asking for their used ones. As soon as I get to run some rounds through it this weekend, It will probably be my truck gun/part time carry gun. On a side note, I sold the G32 since I can't find ammo for it. Its sale helped fund the G19. I've got the G30 in .45acp and LOVE that one. Carries well too. My next will probably be the G21, but I'll have to wait to find a good deal on one first. (ie: Build up my gun fund again).

Thought about trading it for either a G17or a G19... think I'll regret losing this one?

Sorry Sears, but we need to start seeing other people

Sorry to hear that... I like Craftsman, but it has been a LONG time since I've had to purchase a tool. Maybe it had something to do with the merge with the K-Mart Co.? -
Let's see... I have (err... had, before the boating accident) about 6 or 7 Rugers, so that wont help the Glockitis. Have a few Smith & Wesson's, which doesn't help... but no Colt's. Guess I could try, but I really want a G19. Oh yeah, After my last post, somehow a G32 found a way into the collection. Not too crazy about the prices of the .357sig, but what the heck... I only need a thousand rounds of it in supply to feel like I have enough.

My G30 carries quite nicely concealed with an IWB holster.

Why is Therapist and The Rapist spelled the same?

But yet it's too much of a burdon for people to get an ID to vote... -

Picked up a SP101 that looks like someone started to polish out and did a pretty crappy job of. It's not hideous or anything, but would like to put a little labor of love into this little thing to make her shine, and remove the little scratches the last person left in there. What is the preferred method and polish to use to not make this any worse? I'd also like to see if I can get the drag line off of the cylinder a little bit. PS: I don't plan on using a Dremel or anything else electrical...

Unhappy wife... Check! 2 Kids and a cat... Check! Elect another liberal democrat dictator... Nyet! Seriously, the wife... she moving out in January. The 2 kids and the cat will still be here, so gun fund will be considerably less than its' current budget. Luckily I've never been impressed with the compensated models.

My G17 rests safely in my Bianchi 7/7L leather thumb break holster. Liked it so much I bought one for my G26 and G30.

I gotta admit that they are nice little revolvers, but to say you prefer it over the 642 just blows me away! Just my opinion though. I have the .357 mag LCR and it's only 4 ounces heavier than the .38, and you're right... it's ridiculous. I shot 25 rounds of 158gr. magnums out of it when I first bought mine and I swear I fractured something in my right hand. It hurt to grip anything for two weeks! For that reason, I'm only shooting .38's out of it... but will carry magnum rounds when I do carry it, and that's not too often. 38 and 38+p rounds are sweet out of this little revolver. For now I carry either the 642 when I need something small or the G30 when I can get away with it. I think that with the boot grips, the LCR would probably be a little easier to carry. I find that the grips on this one will tug on my shirt more than the smoother grips on the 642, and it looks like the boot grips are a little more smooth. Overall, it's still a fine handgun and I've decided that I will keep it. I really like that sight you added... I may end up doing that too. Shoot at 7 yards and I'm betting that you'll close that grouping up a lot! It's a very accurate gun. Enjoy.

The last statement says all that needs saying, "Your comments may be edited for length or clarity". IOW: We'll clarify what we thought you meant to say. -
How do you keep those wire shelves on the wall?? They're not known for holding too much weight... at least not where I work.

If I kept mine in my sock drawer... I'd have no room for my socks. I like the idea of the cheap "Stack-On" safe. I was thinking about bringing in my little truck box from the garage and using it. I know my guns are secure in the safe, or at least from my kids and their friends, and I want my ammo to be as well. Being that the ammo cans can be locked, I may pick up a few of those at the next gun show.

Been storing my ammo in my gun safe, but it's getting to the point where that is no longer adequate, meaning... I need to find another way to store it. How do you store your ammo?

NEED MORE COWBELL! Please... I don't need another Signess! Let me get past this need for a .357 Sig first.

After purchasing my last Glock, I now have the 17, 26, and the 30. Now I'm thinking about buying either the 21 (.45) or the 31 (.357sig). Both are expensive rounds, but I already have a nice supply of .45... and I DO NOT NEED either one. What was once Rugeritis, has now turned into Glockitis!!! What can I do? I LOVE the .45 auto... and my brain says it's supposed to be shot from a 1911 (Which I have), but something about a double stack magazine just makes me happy! I also LOVE the .357 Magnum round, and while the .357Sig supposed to be its' equivalent in an auto round... I'm curious about it.

I still think it's the creepy little girl...

Took my new (used) G30 to the range today for a quickie... meaning I went to Gun City USA. Luckily I was the only one there. The G30 is a great shooting firearm! I shot mainly Weaver style, but alternated right hand only, left hand only, slow fire, double tap, rapid fire. While not the best patterns to be had with a new pistol shooting this way, I was able to keep all rounds on paper. (At Gun City, you have to reel the targets all the way back BTW) This pistol will replace my G26 as my winter carry since I can conceal it better with more clothes on, but what I learned was that I'm MUCH more accurate with the G26! Sure it has something to do with recoil, but rapid fire was a piece of cake compared with the G30. Left handed only went to the G30, Right handed only went to the G26. I think my left hand is a little larger for some crazy reason, but I get a better grip on the slightly wider G30 frame. Also, shot my little LCP for the first time with the Crimson Trace laser attached to it. I gotta say I am impressed! I really don't care that much for lasers, but since the LCP doesn't have any real sights to speak of... this little laser made shooting easy without raising the gun any higher than I needed to. Speaking of Gun City... the gentleman behind the counter is a very nice and friendly guy. I like him. But, their range has been shot to hell! There was a bullet hole through the lane table that I was at! Looking around, it's scary to think that people are as careless as they seem to be there. I took my son there the last time I went, and decided that I wouldn't risk his life there any more. The group that was checking in before us had never shot before and was getting lesson as to how to load, and properly shoot their rented firearms... Several times I had to remind them that my son and I weren't looking forward to a trip to the hospital! I finally had enough that time and left. Whew... I did offer them help if they wanted it, but "they've got this"... Today I was there alone until just about the time I was ready to leave. Another guy showed up to shoot there, but it was obvious that he knew what he was doing. Thank goodness...

This is what I picked up this afternoon. The Glock liked them... although I only fired a few of them. I feel confident that if/when needed, they'll do just fine.
