  1. But that got me thinking... if I'm using this for self defense and I'm forced to draw and fire at a bad guy, I'm sure that the defense lawyer will bring this up in front of a jury that I was trying to be a wannabe-vigilante or something. How will this look in my own defense? :-\
  2. Yup... need to find a banana clip for my Archangel modified Ruger 10/22, a foregrip, and a new pocket holster for my LCP. If anything else shows up in my budget, I may come back with more than just those things. I just gotta make sure that the wife doesn't want to come along. I had to miss the Goodmans show because of that.
  3. Ok... placing the order for the parts tonight. Depending on the shipping times, I should be shooting by next weekend and will run here if I have any problems since "you talked me into it!". I think I'm going to add a reflex, or red dot sight as well.
  4. I think I'm going to do this to my MkIII... but was wondering if I can do this myself? I'm pretty handy with a pair of pliers , and know my way around my pistol fairly well, but I've never done anything that seems this involved. My worries are little springs shooting across the room as I'm disassembling. Are my worries justified?
  5. Great gun! Enjoy it!
  6. I used one of the ranges used Glocks (G19) since it was included in the cost of the class. All but 7 of the 50 rounds were in the red... the others were very close. Like everyone else said... it's pretty simple. There were ladies there with brand new DAO .380's that hit 100%. I pity da fool that messes with them!
  7. You need to go see one of the rental guns at your gun store if they have them. I know that Guns and Leather in Hendersonville and ASP in Greenbriar both do. The one at ASP is estimated to have about a million rounds through it! He said he doesn't clean it until it's absolutely necessary... and that isn't very often. I love my MKIII and it will be the very last thing I part with when that time comes. (Please don't tell my wife... I think she's a little jealous of it already.)
  8. Curious to know if you've shot this thing with the bayonet attached?
  9. Mine didn't come with the case... that's a pretty cool one too.
  10. Here's a question that may help with your question... Which would you rather be shot with?
  11. Sounds like I saved myself $13.00 this weekend.
  12. Add to the list of handguns that I have a .38 S&W model 10 which is an incredible revolver that we all love to shoot and is more accurate that I'll ever be. I can't carry that very well, so it's primarily a range gun. I've also got a Beretta Neos .22, and a Ruger MkIII .22... so other than the Single Six, I'm not looking for any more .22 calibers. I haven't thought about a .357 mainly because I didn't want to stock any more ammo. Silly me also forgot that I could shoot .38spl out one too. My last .357 was a great shooter... even though it was a Taurus . (Nothing wrong with Taurus... I just prefer Ruger.) I loved the recoil and power of that handgun!
  13. Thimking about another handgun and can't decide what I want to do... I want to replace the Single Six that I sold years ago, but the prices of those have me thinking that I can also buy an LCR, which I've been wanting... or for about the same price I can get the SR9c which would be a better range gun and still be concealable. I've heard a lot of good things about the LCR and I like the .38 special ammo which I usually keep on hand. The SR9c seem to have issues... but I've also heard a lot of people saying they've had no problems with it. Plus, I usually keep a lot of 9mm on hand too. Between the choices of the LCR and SR9c... what would you choose and why? I have the LC9 and the LCP for carry... and would expect that I could use either of the above handguns for carry as well. I'm leaning heavily on the LCR as I like revolvers...
  14. cause he scares the hell out of me! Concealable carry gun,Glock 21 sf, Taurus pt-92, bersa 380. part 5 - YouTube#!
  15. Sorry for hi-jacking your thread... I just LOVE German WWII items. I've been looking for a reasonable HJ, but it seems that over the past year or so they've become a hot commodity. I was lucky to acquire my SA... but I've also got a Prussian 1889 Sword that my Grandfather brought back and well as a few other goodies.
  16. Now you got me drooling... Got one of these?
  17. Very nice indeed!
  18. Start slow... I started with a WWII Canteen that was found in my Moms house. I believe it belonged to my step-dads uncle.
  19. I'll take them! Oops... thought this was the classified forums! lol Both are very nice! I love WWII items, American and German. Any other collectors?
  20. "I feared for my life while protecting my property officer", "I didn't know if he had a gun or not, but it sure looked like it did". We were told (I come up short of using the word taught) that you could use your weapon to protect your property, but once the badguy took off running, you couldn't shoot since he was fleeing, hence no longer a threat.

  22. I like it! I've got the LCP and have tried several different "must haves" including the Crimson Trace... and have removed all of them. The gun is fine the way it is for what it is made for. Good luck on your holster search. I'm still battling that one out too. Gonna pick up the smallest Uncle Mikes tommorrow because my cheesy, cheapo inside the pocket holster wore out pretty quick.
  23. In all... it sounds like more public education of the handgun laws is needed. Funny thing is, I was in Burger King the other day for lunch and a guy came in open carrying and no-one says a word about it. He was dress in a manner though that would give the impression that he was an LEA. It was obvious to me though that he wasn't... and I finally asked. Now, if some kid in blue jeans and a t-shirt came in with a Glock exposed on his hip, people would have freaked, and I'm sure management would have sent him out of the restaurant or have called the police. Sounds kind of like what the OP went through here...
  24. Does this mean that everyone you see open carrying should be reported?
  25. Are they as bad as the Rattleheaded copper tail?
