Sounds like the homeowner could get in trouble. Let's hope not. And for the record...on two occasions I have lost my cool and chased burglars outside of my house and luckily I didn't have a gun then and didn't catch them. So I'm not 'preaching' against the homeowner. Just saying we need to be careful http://m.wsmv.com/w/main/story/53323185/ On the clinical side...would be interesting to know what his Shotgun loads were as it sounds like he missed/didn't stop them firing two rounds while they were crawling through a window.

Stones River Hunter Education Center?

Sounds good. By 'bad experiences' I mean from other shooters that don't know/follow basic safety. I was on a Range and got swept by a Laser Sight...not happy. Will consider doing an Annual membership. I'm guessing you can find less busy times on morning/weekdays which I can do thanks, -
Stones River Hunter Education Center?

I like strict on some things....have had some bad experiences at ranges on crowded 'bring the family' days. Can you shoot Prone or seated (on the ground) on the Rifle Range? Good to know about the Slugs. Was hoping they had an alternative target for Shot. -
What is it like to shoot there? Rules, vibe etc.... I need a place to Shoot Shotgun (not Skeet) and Rifle.

Try staying in Townsend and have a look around that area (but not IN Townsend I would imagine). Maryville is really nice too. You just need to get far enough away from the 'investment properties' and the prices come down quickly

You don't want to be doing a Mag dump with a Shotgun anyway... Unless you are shooting 3 Gun, get a no frills pump with a Flashlight, I have a 20" Mossberg 500 holds 7+1 Cheap. goes Bang. Hits were I aim it. There is a slick 590 for sale on this forum right now,

Guns and Leather Hendersonville $10 fee, only 30' range Super clean and well ventilated, divided Lanes, good lighting. NRange $15, 50' not finished....no dividers, cramped, smoky Zombie targets stapled onto wire hangers. they were very nice people and hopefully they will finish the range. G&L Greenbrier Nice. wish it were closer to me.

Bummer I was born in Chattanooga (Erlanger) and lived on Bailey ave. It's pretty rough over there now. My family enjoys trips to Chattanooga...we tend to go once a year. Last summer we stayed at Read House and did the Aquarium, IMAX etc... Walking to the Read House at night wasn't cool...my 'spidey senses' were tingling like crazy

Can you shoot 3" groups at 10 yards with an LCP?
EastHipster replied to Will Carry's topic in Handguns
I had Keltecs (P11 and p32) for a long time. I could stay on center mass about 80% doing rapid fire mag dump at 30 feet. I decided that for now, a Glock 26 is as small as I will carry. THAT one I can do 3" groups -
Do you have a spare empty mag? Try using that mag to fill your chamber (load one) and then insert a full mag under it. I know that my 1911 feeds the first round more smoothly on a downloaded mag.

NASHVILLE GUN-SHOW FRONT DOOR FIASCO WTF?!?!?
EastHipster replied to a topic in Events and Gatherings
BVD, I could have warned you to stay away from the show Oh well...if I'd been there we could have walked around and complained. I went to one with cash this summer to buy a 1911 and the prices were all higher than in the local gun stores. -
I will need a new Barrel to shoot Clay but I've always wanted to... Will save up some cardboard for Backstops. I've used Wire Frames for Shotgun target holders (as used for Political/Real Estate signs)

The main issue is to confirm that it WORKS. I have an American Classic that had feed problems out of the box. I got it all worked out and just tested some JHP Walmart has 100 round JHP for $32 right now. I bought two boxes and shot it all and just saved 17 rounds (two mags plus one in the chamber). 100% perfect function I'm not going to buy 200 rounds of Golden Saber to test out

Looking for a convenient place to shoot... I was going to NRange today as the website says they allow Shotguns on Thursday Night and all day Sunday but they have moved and their new Backstop has to be tested first. Suggestions? Thanks, EH

Another thing to consider is that you don't want to come home and get shot by an intruder with your own gun... I have an Alarm system so I just need to make my guns not get found/stolen quickly. A friend of mine had his house broken into. The Police asked what was stolen...'a pistol, a rifle, $200 cash and a lot of prescription Meds'. They were HATING him

Looks like fun. What are the ranges on the Shotgun stages? I have a Cylinder Bore and was wondering about Birdshot not knocking down the targets Thanks, KFN -
Thanks for the tip! I just got two of these for my G26 and love them. The G26 is "smaller enough" for me than a 19. My other Glock is a 17

Box of Truth has an investing article on this: The Box O' Truth #3 - The Shotgun Meets the Box O' Truth - Page 1 His basic findings: Slugs penetrate more than Rifle or Handgun. Smaller Buck (#4) doesn't penetrate enough to reach vital organs. Birdshot doesn't penetrate
