  1. When I had/carried a LCP I carried Gold Dot in it. TNOutdoors9 has some decent testing done with that particular round. Then again I couldn't shoot that gun worth anything. Speaking of which I think I've still got 10 or 15 rounds of the stuff.
  2. I've had a Ruger LCP and a Kel Tec PF9...Now I've got a Kahr CM9 and I think for the money it's the best you can buy, It's easily got the best trigger out of the lot.
  3. Okay cool, well the fluff and buff will be my project next week then. Thanks for the responses!
  4. Hey guys, I'm looking at getting a Ruger SP101 and I was wondering if any of you guys have any expierence with this gun and the trigger shim kits from triggersshims.com just curious if they're worth the time to install and what I can expect out of performance once installed. Thanks for the info in advance guys!
  5. I've got one. It's definitely a little rougher finished compared to the PM9, however it's a VERY pleasant shooter, and accurate as all getout. Kahr's have one of the best trigger's I've felt in a while. Any other questions??
  6. The only reason it was objectable was because the trigger guard wore a hot spot on my trigger finger where it rubbed when I pulled it. The recoil was no big deal.
  7. Added a pic I took above.
  8. Okay guys, I've got a range report for ya!The CM9 came in yesterday, I spent the morning waiting for UPS loading 200 rounds of 9mm FMJ 115gr. Kahr, as you probably know, suggest a 200rd break-in period before you consider them reliable. Makes sense to me. Last night I spent the evening introducing my wife to Ridley Scott's Alien and racking the CM9's slide a couple hundred times. This morning I got up, cleaned the gun lubed it, etc etc. Over on Kahrtalk.com they have some "steps" to prep your new Kahr so I did most of those...Today, I headed up to G&L in Hendyville, picked up a box of 50 115gr Sellier and Belliot JHP that I'll carry once I have broke the gun in. I looked at Hornady Critical Defense, and the guy handed me the Z-Max stuff too.. I just can't justify 22$ for 20 rounds when I can get 50 rounds for the same price... A hollow point is a hollow point the way I figure (sacrilege I know). Went downstairs, hung up my targets, and went to work.First impressions: Holy ***** this gun is accurate out of the box... I used to have both a Ruger LCP and a Kel Tec PF9, neither hold a candle to this gun. It's very obvious that Kahr is Johnny Walker Blue to Kel Tec's So Co. The recoil is VERY manageable, follow up shots are no sweat. I punched the center out of all my targets, keep in mind this gun is out of box, Kahr says not to worry about accuracy till you're 200 rounds in, and I'm not that great of a shot.I had 2 failures in the 200-230 rounds the first was the slide failed to lock back when the mag was empty, a common Kahr break-in problem... no sweat. And a little later on when I was running some of the S&B jhp's through the slide failed to go into battery once, a light tap and it clicked... I think that was probably due to how dirty the gun was after over 200 rounds, but we'll see.To sum it all up: I love this gun. (I gotta type this quietly because the Glock is on my hip and I don't wanna hurt it's feelings) but it was a pleasure to shoot, a lot more fun at the range than either the Ruger or Kel Tec ever were. Any questions??
  9. created separate post with range report.
  10. Get's here tomorrow guys! Anyone have any suggestions on carry ammo they've found it liked? I'm loading up a couple hundred rounds tonight to send through it.
  11. Yeah. I just haven't found that to be true for me. Need/want something even small and lower profile. The Kahr will fit the bill. ;-)
  12. Alright guys, just ordered a Kahr CM9, found an AHMAZING deal online that no where locally could come close to. Went and felt the gun and the trigger really really great. Thanks for the tips!
  13. Cool. I'll look at both of them tonight.
  14. Yeah I'm aware... I've held one and I wasn't thrilled, I also used to have a Kel Tec PF9 and I hated that gun... The Kahr is looking extra shiny to me...
  15. Ah yeah... Mine's weighing in around 100lbs shes an Irish Wolfhound mix, or as I like to call her "The First Line of Defense."
  16. Yeah. I'm going to go seriously look at the CM9. Unfortunately the PM is way outa my price range.
  17. Puppy? Dogs were allowed? Shoulda brought my wolfhound. ;-)
  18. Alright, I think right now it's a split between a Ruger LCR and a Kahr CM9. Two totally different animals gotta go handle see which I really dig.
  19. That's what I'm thinking. I'll check out that Taurus.
  20. Alright cool. Maybe I'll head out to G&L tonight and fondle one.
  21. I just need a sweatshirt to conceal the 26, so I figured that summer heat it's gonna print when I've just got a t-shirt on.
  22. How much do those Nano's run? My budget's around $400 ish.
  23. Yeah I might carry the 26 some too but I do want something smaller too. I've also considered one of the cheaper Kahr's....
  24. So I'm looking for a new summer carry gun. I've got a Glock 26 that I carry in a White Hat holster. I'm wanting something that's a little smaller and could be carried IWB when I'm wearing shorts and a t shirt. I'd like to stick to 9mm, could potentially do a wheel gun. I've thought about the Diamondback DB9 or the Ruger LCR. I don't really care for the Kel Tec PF9, but I'm open to other suggestions. Any help you can provide will be really appreciated!! -Aaron
  25. I went, it was my first gun show. Found the mag extensions for my G26, but noone wanted to trade me a Glock 19 for my M&P :-(
