  1. I fully agree that your sister should have fetched the Springfield before allowing the man in, but chambering a round in order to intimidate the guy? That I can’t agree with. If he was a BG there to do damage it would just notify him that she was armed and escalate the situation, rather than allowing her to maintain the advantage of surprise, and if he was just an honest guy doing his job then its just an unpleasant thing to do.

Sorry, but I can’t see any upside to her intimidation.

    I agree 100%.

If I don't know the person at the door I don't answer it without my sidearm, but I keep it out of sight.

  2. agreed jgrauman.

Basically they are the last line for dealing with jerks and we are worried about the wanna be mercenaries coming in with there carry badges and 16" revolvers wagging around frightening the crap out of everybody. They can't tell that guy to leave now, so what do you do? Do you tell the guy to leave or do you let him scare off your business?

Your establishment has the right to ask them to leave and by law they must comply. It is the same as if I were to go into Kroger or McDonalds with my firearm... If they request that I leave their property I must.

  3. i have to say, I am a tin foil hatter of the first order, but this is way over the top.

Flat out not true. I have withdrawn cash in that amount and nothing ever came of it.

As someone else stated, just because no one ever came knocking on your door doesn't mean there was not a report filed about your transactions.
