  1. Kinda what I was thinking... I would just take my daily carry set up and maybe some extra mags and ammo just because I would be far from home.
  2. I am too busy trying to get over Y2K to worry about 2012!
  3. Those boys need to be placed in another home and the woman that birthed them needs to go to jail.
  4. From yet another Ridger, welcome to TGO and welcome to OR.
  5. YouTube - Johnny Cash - Rusty Cage
  6. O meu BRASIL!!!! If you want to see their presentation video: http://video.globo.com/Videos/Player/Esportes/0,,GIM1134665-7824-OLIMPIADAS+CLIPE+DA+APRESENTACAO+DA+CANDIDATURA+DO+RIO,00.html Edit: Make sure you press the play button after the Sportv.com commercial.
  7. Ah the noble black bear.... natures can opener.
  8. OTD this would be a bit past the top end of your price range, but I think it would be worth it. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/36_763/products_id/37085
  9. It could be any number of things. You missed a golden opportunity while you had your buddy at the range with his AR. First thing I would do is make sure that the bolt was going all the way into battery. When you pulled the trigger did the hammer fall? Did you try different mags? My advice would be to get back with your buddy and try to narrow it down before you start replacing parts. Put your upper on his lower... put your bolt in his AR and see if it malfunctions... you could even put your firing pin in his AR and vise versa. Just make sure that you don't get your parts mixed up.
  10. Although there are many excellent ideas here... I would contact the athorities and see what the law is. By doing this you have registered the complaint and put the problem on paper so to speak. I would think that just to look at your house from theirs with the naked eye is not breaking the law, but using optics may be illegal. Also, be careful they may be trying to goad you into a reaction. Get a good video camera and get proof from inside your house. Try and get them to look at you while you are videoing and get a reaction so then you have proof they are looking inside your home. If all else fails Monroe Co. is not too far away and may need to be the next place for our TGO "meet and clean."
  11. I know two brothers in Alaska who were going to try and kill a deer with a knife... ended about the same way for them.
  12. "It's all about the money boys." I noticed that below the article in the comment section someone said that the speed camera in front of the High School and the Civic Center was necessary to slow traffic down for the saftey of the children. I have to admit the traffic is slower, but the children still have to walk out into traffic. Just a thought, but wouldn't a bridge have worked better? Maybe the council would have went for it if we charged the kids a toll... say $1 each way? New York Ave / ORTPK and Robertsville / Illinois... I mean really are these the most dangerous intersections in OR? If they wanted to get people to obey the traffic laws in OR all they would need to do is put up big signs at all the roads entering OR that read: Oak Ridge City Traffic Fines Stop Sign $500 Speeding $750 Red Light $1000 School Zone $1500 I'd sure slow down.
  13. I once killed a small doe with my Glock 17 9mm. I hit her in the neck right behind the skull, I wanted a hit or miss shot, she dropped in her tracks. It didn't seem like a long shot when I took it, but I stepped it off at 37 paces. I was using 124 grain Federal hydra shoks so I think a .45 would do for a deer just fine as long as you use a good bullet and don't get crazy with your range.
  14. The only way this could have been worse is if he had gotten it on his forehead. He needs to come to grips and admit his epic mistake. What is that other tattoo on his chest? Is that TN? Edit: I am not 100% sure, but I think the swastika finds it's roots in Hindu India.
  15. Edit: Nevermind...it's not worth it. On second thought... forget the red R on my clothes... your post has given me an idea... I'll just sew a Confederate battle flag on my chest, after all it is the universal symbol of evil and hate.
  16. Sigh... I guess since I'm a white male I'm just going to go and start sewing a red R for "racist" on the left breast of all of my clothes... Edit: What was I thinking... I don't need a red R to let every one know I am a racist, the color of my skin does that already.
  17. I'm not really a big fan of revolvers, but... that is one beautiful peice. I really like the grips and finish... and the barrel length is perfect to me.
  18. I'll gladly sign it and I hope it is public record... Beehan is an arrogant ass.
  19. LMAO..."WTF...that lion was barkin' at me."
